So who's been affected by all this shit snow?

I actually managed to walk outside.
And I could not belive this.
It was ice ontop of the snow and I was slipping around like Bambi did in the sweet disney movie (felt like specifying which Bambi).

It's complete and utter torture as I have a fear for falling on ice as I almost broke my jaw a few winters back.
God this snow and ice is being a total betch.
:se7:

So far it's constantly thick everywhere else...yet here it's thinning out. IT WON'T BLOODY SNOW AGAIN.
I miss snow days. 'Sniff'. If you excuse me, I'm off to live a snow montage.

You should all try living in my neck of the woods, where Winter lasts 6 months and we get upwards of 7 feet of snow every year. It was like that last year--this year my backyard has 4 and counting. Also, -30 degrees centigrade outside with wind chill. It's a good thing that I love the snow and I don't drive, else I'd be in a world of trouble.

Sorry about that, that's pretty scary even if you don't go outside, worrying about pipes exploding and such. Are you able to get food alright? I mean, do stores even open when it gets that cold?

I'd kill myself if I had to deal with six months worth of snow :mokken:

It finally stopped snowing here (though it started again today -__-) and we had a bit of rain, so the snow just turned into flattened down ice. It's like an extreme sport trying to walk about out there at the moment. HOW I haven't fallen overyet is beyond me, I'm always falling on my arse without the added dangers of ice

If it's still here next weekend Il cry, Im supposed to be going out with the girls, i WILL fall over if I'm wearing heels <_<

Doesnt look like we are forecast anymore for the rest of the week at least, though there's gunna be more rain... I wish I had some ice skates :rage:

Theres actually gunna be 'sunnny intervals' on saturday apparently...I really hope its warm enough to melt some of this crap

Getting to work is fun lol. See who can make it in today!! As long as its gone by 26th Jan Im ok. Im going to Oz to see my pa, so I dont need more snow. Sadly I havent been out enjoying it and Im gutted as when is this next going to happen? My mates wont go out cause theyre too scared :( I WANNA GO SLEDDING!!

I ADORE snow. What I do NOT like, however, is ice. I'm incredibly fortunate I haven't slipped and broken something for the last week - the only way around it is walking right in the middle of the road, and that is...inadvisable.

Trains have been a complete mess - you can get TO places alright, but getting back from them? You could probably walk along the line and have no fear of getting hit by trains behind you. Oddly, buses are running more or less on time...

My little brother has been to school twice this year. Working at home with him home as well is next to impossible, and I've had coursework, a semester's worth of notes to consolidate, and I haven't even started my exam revision yet.

I love what most people would define as "miserable" weather, but I really hope this stuff thaws out soon...

I haven't been effect but, it sure has gotten much colder here then the last few years. So much for Global Warming. >_> I've always lived in the warmer areas but when I went to visit family in Ohio I loved the snow :jess: but, i don't really like cold weather since I'm use to the heat XD.

Im peeved now cause the snow has gone over night and I didnt actually get to enjoy it, have a snowball fight, make s snowman or snow angel. Didnt get to do anything cause I was working all damn time. Now Im no longer employed, the snow goes :(

Im SO glad its gone, i woke up this morning looked out the window and most of the ice has melted, i did a mini victory dance in my head xD

its still quite bad, but compared to what we have had its like, omg FINALLY ITS GOING

Snow season in Blackpool is over, which is unfortunate because I can afford to have college days off now. I can't be bothered with the prospect of another wave of modules coming straight after exams.

It looks like we won't get anymore snow until perhaps next year. So far it's been constantly raining and windy. So windy in fact that a garden chair was once blown towards my car, narrowly missing it. It hasn't been as cold as it was a month ago either.

Then again I'm surprised we even had so much snow this year (a lot in my terms would be tiny in other people's terms), or even any. We're next to the sea and sheltered by the Welsh mountains, the Pennines and the Lake District mountains after all.
