I am pretty happy that the PSP final gets another new Final Fantasy game in the playing style of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. I like the idea, but I want to acctually see this happen! And by the way, first thread! :P
Sir~

Meh, I'm a bit so-so about it. I was looking forward to it quite a bit when it was first announced but the lack of information over the past year or so sort of makes me not bothered anymore. To be honest, I hardly even remember any of the information that was given it's been so long =/

I found the last new trailer released (way back to God knows when) rather amusing for some reason. Perhaps it was the image of a totalitarian leader giving a rallying speech to his troops before an invasion of other countries on a continent. I asked myself whether Square Enix has become a little too fascinated in historical-inspired scenarios this time. Hopefully they haven't, and that there is still that fantasy element in Agito.

I'm not sure if I had heard that it was to play like Crisis Core.

If that is the case then I am not looking forward to the gameplay aspects of Agito. Running around very standard generic maps, with enemies popping up at set points you can learn, didn't do well with me in Crisis Core. I'd rather they avoided that style of gameplay.

But I am glad that PSP gets a new game. Agito could be good. I'll keep an eye out for news about it, and I'll probably buy it, but I'd rather the gameplay be improved from Crisis Core. If the story is good, however, I might be willing to get over the gameplay.

Apparently the battle system will be a more "evolved" version of Crisis Core, where you have control of up to three characters and not just one. I imagine it resembles the action-like style of Crisis Core because that's probably why they chose the Latin word "agito".

They'd better release it on UMD too because I'm not going to buy a PSP Go. There are many things I don't like about the PSP Go. Having to download the games you technically already have is one of them.

I can't say that I am too excited about this game... I know nothing about it! And the trailers kinda remind me of ww2 for some reason, I mean, it looks war-like. And I really haven't heard anything about the game play either... I'll prolly get more excited as I hear more about it.

Yes, I am really excited for this. This game to me is a spiritual successor to Final Fantasy 8. I read that the story is about two warring nations with schools like "Gardens"...I cant wait for this one.

:jon:

Ummmm I was excited for this but now SE has not released any information at all since the last trailer. It is supposed to be like crisis core and yeah it looks cool but Im not lookin forward too it as much as XIII and Versus XIII. Im sure versus will be out last though.

Yeah all of these have good ideas to back them up, but being the same Crisis Core style, but less limited and you have more control. So, even with the little info released, I am still very excited to get it. Square Enix just keeps coming up with good ideas, tho I would like to see a multiplayer Final Fantasy game come out for the PSP, kind of a Phantasy Star multiplayer.

Yes that last statement was off topic! But I had to say it!

I've been excited for this game for a long time. I know there hasnt been that much news recently but if you look at it rationally, its because XII is so close to its release that all the other news of FNC games has kinda been put on hold. Everyone is so psyched for XIII that it ends up where no one wants anything to do with Agito or Versus.

I am ecstatic that its coming out for the PSP, too. That way I can play it :D The battle system sounds like it will be win, as Crisis Core had a good one, albeit the randomness of the DMW. I hope it can come out as soon as it can ^_^

I loved every apsect of Crisis Core & I'm very excited for the release. The PSP deserves beastly FF games.

I liked the combat system in Crisis Core. However, I didn't like it when I actually played it. It seemed as if it were missing something. However, if it's going to be done better in Agito, I'm up for it.
