Final Fantasy, a series that started about 20 years ago, has gradually attained many fans over that time, and despite some people's current opinions on the franchise, new fans still keep on coming.
But I have to wonder, should we still try to be considerate of potential spoilers for the newer fans? Or has enough time passed for some games that it's general knowledge? Like, is there a standard waiting period before you can talk freely about a game, or is it better just to keep your mouth shut?
Am I wrong to think we all know
is actually a woman in FFV?
Or that
isn't completely human in FFVI?
I mean, who doesn't know about
dying in FFVII?
Or
being
father in FFVIII?
How about
not being born on Gaia in FFIX?
And other such examples. I can understand people being careful about FFXIII since it's only came out 6 months ago in Japan, but I have to wonder about the older games that have been around for a couple of years now.
Thoughts?
