So when you got to the ShinRa's building in Midgar during your first play through did you choose to sneak into the building or did you choose to barge straight through the front door and kick some sorry sons of bitches! =o

Me? I chose to sneak in through the stairs. Besides the dialog between the characters while going up those long flight of stairs is just priceless.

I chose Sneak in on my first playthrough, after that it was always Barge in, those stairs KILLED my hands :gonk: so tiring :sad3:

Plus, more exp if you barge in :tehe:

Both!

Mod edit: Could you put some more effort into your post? Tell us why you said what you did.

My hands didn't get tired on that part at all. I must be more physically fit than I originally thought myself to be 8D

Sneak in. For the great dialogue, and doing Tifa a favour. :-)wacky: I just like her snarky remark to Barret as she's all proud Cloud agrees with her. xDDD)

Then after I get at the top, I take the elevator to the first floor, to kill them all anyway. :wacky:

On my first play through I sneaked up the stair's the dialog was great after that it was barge in just to see what kind of entrance they make. I still like the stair's better even though it take's a long time to make it to the top the dialog make's it worthwhile.

I choose to sneak in. I go up the stairs all the way until that 1 item you can get. Then I turn around and walk down them to go barge in. So yeah like Ryushikaze I do both. Might seem stupid but I get everything in the game. Even if it is just 1 item I might miss.

One liners are against rules, just a heads up for you.

My favorite line is when Cloud says they can't make a commotion until they've saved Aerith but then he adds; "... doubt that's possible though" I just love Cloud's attitude, he's sucha jerk. But then, I really enjoy how Barret points out that Cloud has changed, and instead of not caring for anyone, Cloud was now risking his life for Aerith. It's character development that is very much loved on my part.

Sneak in - I'd be crazy to miss out on the going up the stairs bit, it's hilarious and one of the best bits in the game. The Barret/Tifa dialogue is great. Plus the stairs where I work remind me a bit of Shinra HQ XD

On my first play through, I snuck in, and it went on... and on... and on, I was sat there thinking there was something wrong with the game at one point

Every other time, I just busted right on in. Time before last, I took the stairs, then went back down and went ion the main doors, fuck knows why

I do rather enjoy the dialogue mind xD

I've only barged in one time, only to see what happens. I prefer the back way tho just bc it seems the apropriate thing to do. And u get an elixer for walking up all those stairs :) n its fun to see Barret complain the whole way up. Lol

Trying to make logical in-game choices, I chose to take the stairs on my first playthrough.
My friend who had never played Final Fantasy was there too, and it made for a very strange first impression. It was worth it though, for the reasons already mentioned.

Since then, I've just busted in. It's funny trying to chase all of the scared employees around, and the dialogue with the Item Shop clerk is funny too.
Plus, you get to see that cool video of Shinra's tech.

I decided to sneak in on my first playthrough. It hurt my hands going up and up all those stairs, but the dialogue was funny at times. After that I just barged in. It was quicker and I got EXP for my efforts.

The first time I played, I sneaked in...it just seemed like the right way to go. But the seond time around I walked in just to see how bad it would go. But the funny dialouge up the stairs, was just another reason why this game was so geat imo.

Plus I wanted to run up the stairs, faster than Tifa :)

I choose the stairs every time. The dialogue does it for me. Hilarious. Plus, it just makes more sense from an in-universe perspective. I KNOW you're badasses, guys, but do you really think you can take out the whole Shinra company head on? That's three people versus... what? Hundreds? Thousands? And as this was the first FF I'd played, I had no idea of the degree of over the top these things can take, so I snuck in just because I didn't think barging in would work.

I also did both, sneak in and barged in to see what was the difference between the two selection. After that I always sneak in because I like to collect the items that are in the stairs.

As most people I snuck in on my first playthrough, on the second playthrough I barged in to see how that is different, and I enjoyed that way more due to epic fights and all that as opposed to climbing endless stairs, so since then on I just barge in. I especially love the elevator part when the floors are going crazy and Barret tells Cloud to stop the elevator no matter what floor it is on so then you fight wave after wave of ShinRa guards.

i've done both and frankly while i liked getting the elixer it was just easier to charge in. after awhile i just try to breeze through that part of the game to get on to the juicyer parts. though i do admit that the dialogue is funny between tifa and barret i'm just not a patient enough person

The first times i played it i always sneaked in, then after a while i tried to break in and cause havoc and found out it's much more fun to just run inside and start battling ShinRa soldiers left and right.

Ever since then i always run in, it's just less boring to me.
