Shining Force

I consider the Shining Force series one of the all time best Rpg's. In many ways it paved the way for Strategy/Rpgs, and was the first game of it's kind.

So...has anyone played these games before? If so what did you think of them?

Shining Force II is my all-time favorite game for the genesis. Shining Force I and Shining in the Darkness weren't bad, either

I only ever played the game briefly, but I was impressed with what I saw. Good game.

YES BEST FUCKING RPG EVER!!!! i am referring to shining force 1 + 2 after that they went downhill.
i still have these games as they are classics sum of my fav games ever.
shining force 2 was without a doubt the best

Shinning Force pwned. It was epic the whole story was epic the characters the battle system it was a really good strategy/RPG game I have it as a GBA rom and I'm currently replaying it.
I really recommend this game >.>

I have Shining Force Neo but I'm stuck at one boss battle, and I gave up after that

I do want to play other Shining Force games though

While I love the Shining Force games and wish everyone would try them out...I'm pretty sure the first SF games were really just simplified Fire Emblem games...you could probably trace SRPGs further back than even that...but I don't want to, myself. lol

I've only played through the second and started on the first, but Slade sure is awesome

Shining force II was epic and quite possibly one of the best thought out games of its time (despite the cheesy dialog, it still rocked) I especially loved how each class had strengths and weaknesses so you have to build a balanced team to suceed!
