Secret Santa?

Well, I thought about this earlier today, and I know how FFF likes to have contests, competitions and the like. So I thought that maybe we could have a little secret Santa thing for the holidays this year!

I haven't worked out all the details yet, but it could be something like making a Sig and Avy set for the person you draw or something like that. Admittedly, I have no idea how to do that, so I actually wouldn't be able to participate if it was that. :gonk: But point being, we can discuss a little on what the 'presents' could be.

Truth be told, I'm not sure if you actually do this or not, but I've never heard anyone talk about it. But it's just a thought.

As I've just said, I LOVE secret santas, but this is gonna be hard to work out who does who and stuff. You know the process, and sometimes it gets tangled up. So yeah, it'll be fun and good, but the downside is that people need to organise it as soon as possible to avoid confusion and stuff. (Stuff = lol)
 
I've known this to be tried on a couple of forums, and in principle it's a really good idea but it never pans out anywhere near to the plan because people don't know what to give since you're pretty limited with it being the internet and all.
 
I love the idea of this, not sure what people could give mind, I can only think as far as drawings, GFX, poetry and the likes.....

We had that thing on Valentines day where we just sent messages and shit...I suppose with a bit of thought we could think of summat?
 
I think this could turn out to be a pretty good idea. If it's planned and co-ordinated correctly, I don't see how it could go wrong.

I could only suggest that an admin such as Mandi or Mitsuki get the names together and randomly pick them out just as you said. Or possibly like how they decide which members are on which Survivor team.
 
perhaps a roulette? my friend has a program for this stuff on his laptop, u put in anything and it selects for u, hopefully someone has this?
 
Picking the names won't be a problem. I know there is some program on the internet that you can use to do this sort of "picking names out of a hat" deal, but I don't know what that program is unfortunately. But I'm sure someone knows, or I can do some research to find it, but I don't see this as being the biggest problem.

The biggest issue is what will be given for "presents". If it ends up being sigs, avys, and anything graphical, then I wouldn't have a problem setting up and coordinating. Otherwise we can just find someone who isn't a part of the secret Santa to do things like send out PM's and reminders and such.
 
Hahaha I like this idea. Its brilliant! A secret santa would be pretty nice. Oh and Gfx presents and such would be cool. Hmmm who shall be the secret santa. I take it this will be an admin or mod. Something like the way someone on staff was cupid.
 
I guess anyone could be the Secret Santa, as long as they weren't participating
