So a guy from H.B. Beal (High school in London, Canada) came into my Photography class and told us about this program that could prove to help me, and to what i want to do for my future. I'm in grade 12 at the moment, and he said that if you come to Beal for the next 2 years i would be able to take only art classes all day, and these classes include Animation (which i'm thinking i want to do), Photography, Print Art, Ceramic Technology, Film Studies, Painting, Textiles, 3-D Design, Art History, and Drawing! Now each semester i would do 2 of theses, so for 2 years, 4 semesters total, i would be able to do 8 of these. Classes run all day! And its really cheap which is great. So i'm thinking about doing this, only thing is i need to be accepted into it first... Basically, i just made this thread because i'm excited to share this info and i just had to tell you guys ^_^

Now this could get me into some hard to get into Colleges and Universities. I could do this, or...

I could go back to my school for another year, take my Maths and Programming again (even though Programming i got 90% in the past 2 years) so that i could get into a programming class in college.

So anyways, If you are still with me here.. I just wanna know what your opinion is on this. I love both Animation and Programming.. I'm not too good at life drawings, but that is what Beal is for. I will be able to increase my knowledge. So i'm leaning towards the Beal thing.. But i don't have any friends that go there. What do you think i should do? Just so i can have your opinion.

I think you should go for what you think is best for you. If this Beal thing is going to give you the experience and stuff you want, I'd say full speed ahead. If it's something you're really in to, don't be afraid to try it. You may not have any friendss to go with, but there's the high possiblity of you making new friends whilst doing it.

So you'd be doing two things. Expanding on your talent and reaching your maximum potential and meeting new people.

Think on what you think is best for you in the long term. And then go with what feels right.

Well it comes down to what you want to do more. If you're leaning towards the Beal thing, then it seems like that's what you're interested in (plus you wrote that big paragraph on it, so you're obviously excited about it). Don't worry too much about not having friends at the Beal place, you shouldn't have much trouble making new ones.

Weigh it out, do you enjoy animation or programming more? Don't let other factors influence you, whatever you pick should be picked solely because you want to do it more than the other option.

I'd say Beal, just because you've been doing so much artistic stuff lately, and you have a good base with it. You can build on that, and take it to new heights, and get into the better schools and get a better job and make more money.
And don't worry about what I'm doing. We may end up in London together or we might not. But if we do end up far away I'll visit some time. :P
Just do what you want. Your life is your own now.
