Saw Movies

Yeah but noticed that they all showed how all the victims died and what their fate was...? With Dr. Gordon, they kinda just left it open...he could be dead, yes...but why didn't they confirm that? They made references to his character (Jigsaw going into Dr. Gordon's office throughout the series) ... but never really told us what happened. I seriously think he'll make an appearance in the 5th or 6th movie.

I went to see Saw III when it came out at midnight. We were not disappointed, they had us cringing and twisting in our seats. It was beautiful. = ]

Im pretty sure he was seen on the ground in either 2 or 3.

Yeah I think yo're right there, I'm SURE you see him lay outside the door as Amanda goes down the corridor & suffocates Adam....can't remember which it was tho, POSSIBLY the third as jigsaw was telling her she wasn't teaching lessons. just murdering

saw 1 and 3 are great, they are more connected than saw 1 and 2 or 2 and 3. Saw 2 is ok to but not much.

Saw fans

I been lagging abit when it comes to the Saw movies, saw the first in the cinema when it came out, then watched the second.

Only recently seen the third, and just watched the fourth now.

So without spoiling any of five, can someone explain a few things about 4 to me?

Jeff was told he had to play a game to find his daughter in Jigsaw's final tape at the end of III. Then as IV goes on we find out it's pretty much happening in parrerl to III. The FBI dude finds the room which John, Amanda, that Doctor bird and Jeff are. Jeff gets shot and presumibly dies. So what was this game Jeff was meant to play for his daughter? Or was it tied in with "forgiving John" instead of taking revenge, seeing as he is the only one who knew where his daughter was?

Then comes Hoffman and Amanda. You see in IV that it was Hoffman who left the envolope for Amanda which she opens in III, have I missed anything or did neither film show what was written inside?

And one final question, Matthews and Kerry were the only one's who knew about Amanda being in with John. Matthew's finding out at the end of II, Kerry just before she dies in III. So how did the FBI know when they found Kerry?

I wanted Matthew's to live, felt sorry for the guy lol, should've known better than to expect him to walk out alive lol.

Any answers would be appreciated. Going to watch V tomorrow. :D

I hate all of the Saw movies, I have the impression that they are all absolutely disgusting and sick from what I've heard of some of them, it disturbs me that they are so popular that they can keep releasing Saw movies like they do. >.<

I'm not commenting on it anymore than that, I know tomorrow is Halloween, but I'm just not going to pretend I like these movies for the sake of conversation, and I want the people here to know I am not a fan of any of the movies, at all, strongly against them matter of factually. >_>'

Ugh I've seen a couple of these and it kinda grossed me out.

Not a fan of gory movies. =/

I think my friend asked me to go and see number 4 with her ages ago (before I knew what it was about or had seen any at all) and I just had my eyes closed the whole time just about. >.<

I loved all Saw movies (I-V anyway). I hated them at first, but i actually watched them and i was hooked.

I don't know whether Dr. Gordon lived or died, but I think that'll be revealed when a) the last movie comes out or b) when the producers run out of ideas.

I just hate what they're doing lately. I honestly believed VI was the last installment. But now I hear they're coming up with VII. All things must come to an end, you know. I can't see the light at the end of this tunnel.

Also, I want to point out I only saw three bodies in the bathroom after Saw. I know who they are, and I know one of them is not Dr. Gordon. They were
Adam (suffocated between I and II), Zepp (killed with the aid of a toilet bowl), and Xavier (died of blood loss in II after cutting a piece of the back of his own neck).

Lol Kandy, i know what you mean. The plot kinda got stupid after the 3rd and i pretty mush lost interest around then. Although i've seen them all, i only really enjoyed the 1st and 2nd, both times the endings were great twists. Saw 3 had the worst torture scene though imo, the black guy in the body twisting mechanism..that was damn brutal! I couldn't help but squirm watching it. xD

When I saw the first one, it seemed very original to me. It's a 'horror' movie and by that I mean lots of people die and it's not that scary, but it did have a different spin. And even though it wasn't scary (apart from the end) it did get a reaction out of me. Mainly cringing at the awful things they had to do.

Now it's just getting ridiculous. It's just a gore fest to the extreme.

I think the extreme part is the appeal. Violence does attract people... I think deep down it does attract everyone (or 'many' to avoid angry responses) somewhat. In the same way people have a fascination reading about serial killers and never about the victims.

I hope this is the last one in the series. I seriously just want it to end. The least I can hope for is an apprentice who breaks what I like to call "murder chain."

I think Saw VII is the last one, I'm sure I read ages ago there were only 7 planned. Tbh, it got stupid after the third one, the first three were half decent but once the guy dies in the end of the third one it just went downhill. They kept the the storyline running using pointless twists, Saw V was dreadful :wacky:

:( Mercuriall: Saw V is my favourite one.

I like the Saw series because I like the way they examine morality.
There is a lot of frustrating stupidity involved on many of the characters' parts, and I actually can admit that I often close my eyes at some of the goriest parts (like in Saw III when that guy's body parts got all twisted in different directions, or in Saw V when the two final characters were shoving their arms into those saw blades), but while the gore may seem unnecessary I think it complements the points the movies are trying to make.
I like movies like Saw because they make you think, whether it be about what should have happened or just about how the story's puzzle pieces (which is a good metaphor for the storyline itself) fit together.

I also really enjoy trying to anticipate the movies' many great twists, and I love how each sub-story of the game victims' struggles has its own distinct theme (the one in V being about working together, which is one of the main reasons why that was my favourite movie.)
