RPG Images Suggestion Thread

While you're at it, can you go through the thread I also made some time ago? There are lots of images in there.

It's called "RPG Inferno Image Suggestion Thread". It shouldn't be archived, as it's less than a year old.

Well, since image finding seems to be the furthest thing from fun, one was wondering if the members themselves would like to help in image collection for this RPG :monster:

Right now, we're looking for an image of a tower interior (or castle) a dark portal-type image (for a background, preferrably) and an image of the Round Room (KH fans should know it as the room where Org 13 sit in a circle of giant chairs)

This isn't something you have to do, but member help would be greatly appreciated, regular images are of course still appreciated so feel free to do whichever :monster:

I would help, but seeing as I won't be interested in playing in this RPG Inferno based on some of the information I've acquired from Damon. *stares at Koloth* It was his idea to have all the stats be super low for this, I for one have over the years advanced from games of dealing two and three figures of damage to four or five figures of damage, heck even six.

Guys, just to give you a hint, look at Damon (Klonoa)'s HP & MP...it has never been so low, right? And stats start at 5, and grow just a single point for each attribute point spent, and 10 for HP & MP...looks like one could deal significantly more damage towards the later parts of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, in which the Max Level is 30. Sad, right? :/

So for the moment, RPG Inferno should be no concern of mine...if someone that was this dedicated to it is turned off by this, I shudder to think how others will take it.

Well, don't be fooled by numbers, Bolt. It was not my idea to start with such low stats. I just changed how the attributes increased to make it easier to setup monsters.

We could aways go back to 100 HP and MP with 10 for all the stats. Keep the increase 20 for HP and MP and 2 for the rest. If that makes everybody happier.

Remember players will still get 5 attributes an 2 skill points per level.

Damon, the pic of "Where Nothing Gathers" that you want may not exist :sad3:

All I see are pics of Altar of Naught, If you want that?

@ Paragraph 1: I figured that be it, feared it would be a heck of a lot more trouble to keep things in balance if the numbers being working with were bigger, but it's been managed all the other years, I don't see why it has to change now.

@ Paragraph 2: Well, that would work for me anyways. :mokken: It isn't so much the starting stats, but the value of spent attribute points for the stats, if one ignored all stats but one, putting everything into it, it increases by 5 points at best, then that will leave other key areas neglected, it just wouldn't work for me, I'd wait out the partial RPG until a new one starts in the new year/late this year if things stand as they are now, I could do plenty to keep me occupied, certainly (mainly RPing and Story writing, likely).

Bolt, numbers do not matter so much as long as the difference of stats between the users and the monsters fought is relatively close. Besides, the RPG does tends to get awkward when you get past the 100 points in any stats. There won't be much trouble for us (players) if the monsters don't deal damage higher than around 40% of our base stats.

For example, if my base HP Stat is 50, it would be horrendously unfair (and not only completely demoralizing) to have monsters who can deal 30 damage to me. If I am fighting against two of them, then the battle will pretty much go with the player healing until he runs out of items and dies. I know because I've seen it happen in some areas of the last game.

What has been my real concern in every game is the Stat Increasing spells, especially the ones that alter SPD. Inferno really tends to be buggy when we touch that and has a tendency of skipping turns when the spell runs out or even giving extra turns.

Ok, back on topic: I'll see what I can do, though there's one little tiny insignificant detail we are missing...:ahmed:

Size specifications...
Wide: ???
Height: ???

Thank You :jtc:

*I am quite fond of this emote now-> :jtc:

I appreciate this is for suggesting images, but I have a gripe with the image size. Bought the Alicia pet earlier and while the image itself is fine, it's rather large. Sizeable pictures are unattractive and awkward to work with; I personally don't think that monster images (etc) should be warping the user interface.

Simple programmes like MS Paint can trim down on size, if nothing else. You don't strictly need the whole image there.

I thought of that, but it would require a separate image upload, and uploaded images can't be deleted. Just to upload the same thing in a different size seems unnecessary clutter, but if it is much of a nuisance then I'll have to consider it.

But it almost always will show whatever image the player is using anyways. :P

I don't know if image limits can be imposed to players, but that's not what I'm talking about. And I'm aware of the implication in having to undo something in order to correct even a minor detail, so I'm not going to sit here and ask anyone to do that - but just to consider it for future areas before using an image.
