[RP] Final Fantasy IX: Scars of Terra

Robert Crescent

Robert didn't miss a beat. As soon as his foot touched the ground, he lunged forward again at the Bishop., using several pinpointed swings at her side, followed by a an upward and downward slice, and a series of thrusts aimed at her pressure points. He'd fight with focus, speed and skill. His aim was to not let up and give her room to breathe. He was silent during his onslaught, his eyes and ears trained on his query. He'd not give her the satisfaction of a reply or of his anger. One slash would be aimed at her eyes, attempting to permanently blind her. It would be a suitable punishment, to make her live in the same darkness that her actions had sent so many others to.

Annelise Steiner

"Anne. Go after him. I'll take care of Brandish."

Anne nodded and began to tail Lan, past Brandish as the latter was to take on a Tranced Remilia. Following the Genome out of the Airship Hangar, she came across several Oeilvert soldiers who began to block the path between her and Lan. "Get out of my way!" Using one hand to balance her broadsword, Anne made a wide swing, cutting through some of the soldiers before continuing to press on ahead.

----
Gisale Gesalios

Gisale lowered her sword as she saw Remilia's summon start to slowly lift her up into the air. "Zodiark...King of Precepts..." She said calmly as the Lord-General raised her sword. "I know that you won't forgive any of us for wronging you. But if a battle is what you seek, I will be most inclined to oblige!" She would run towards the Eidolon at high speed, jumping up high into the air in an attempt to reach it, yet balancing the blade a bit to glide out of the way of direct attack if necessary.
----
The Bishop

The Bishop saw the Burmecian jump forward immediately after touching down and forced the Lord General to step back and dodge his spear as he made some precise spear swings. Charging up magic through her hands, she began to step to the side to avoid the vertical swings. Before moving parts of her body back in a swift flowing motion to avoid his attacks further, allowing her to launch a counterstrike with a Fire spell to blow Robert away as he launched his last attack, The Bishop turned her head as the attack connected, leaving a moderate size scar from her hairline to just outside her left eye. The Bishop stepped back and grabbed the side of her head, coated in blood. "You...You asshole!!!"

Robert leaped into battle before he could answer Aarons question he shruged and thought that the attack on the castle has started.

"Sheesh..." He Muttered to himself.

Figuring he wouldn't be able to help Robert out in battle due to all the quick movements he decided to follow behind Annelise, He ran as fast as he could to catch up to her, within a minute or so he caught up to her, seeing Oeilvert Soldiers ahead blocking the way he ran ahead of her and swung his sword like a bat knocking some of the soldiers out the large window to fall to their deaths while others were lucky and slammed into a wall.

"So whats the deal? Who are we going after?" He spoke loudly to her as he kept running pace with her.

((OOC:lol had to improvise D; ))

Robert Crescent

Robert was knocked back by the blast of intense heat, the flames stinging him sharply. He flipped himself around so that he could land on his feet. He spun his lance once over his head as he charged it with draconic energy before then swinging the lance forward in an arc, causing the energy to shatter into fragments which shot forward in an arced wave at the Bishop, the Cherry Blossom attack. "A small sample of what you've brought upon others. It's time you reaped what you sowed." Robert spoke as he unleashed the attack.

Lan heard a few cries of pain from Oeilvert's soldiers as he turned to see Anne on his tail. Deciding to stop her, Lan slowed down as he turned to face the armored woman and raised his claws towards her as he tighten the grip on the mirror.

Battle theme: FF9 Remix

"Anne, I'll give you one warning, don't try to stop me. This mirror is my only chance to kill Cyril." Lan muttered as he prepared for the attack.

------
Remilia Oveilia

Battle Theme: Desperate battle

Zodiark flew backward as it got out of Brandish's striking range. Remilia smiled as six orbs of light started to form around her staff.

"Zodiark, Banish Ray. Force Requiem!" Remilia called out as Zodiark unleashed a ray of black light towards Brandish as the six orbs of light shot outward away from the staff in six different directions and rushed toward Brandish.

Lord Cyril
Over the Skies of the Mist Continent

A messenger ran forward to Oeilvert's King, his arms folded and looking outward. "Your Majesty, our Southern Fleet has begun their bombardment over Lindblum." Some of the soldiers cheered, but Cyril swiftly swung his arm to the right, blade in hand. "No, the plan has not yet been achieved. We have yet to take the Fire Mirror from them. Plus there is also the incoming Lindblumite fleet approaching their city..."

The Magic Knight who also had his arms folded began walking to his leader. "Your Majesty, are you sure you should trust Gisale? She did try to betray you 4 years ago."

Cyril sighed, lest he remembered the time he came closest to death, by his own wife no less. "She still has her uses, she still follows her loyalty to the people as well as to what once was. Once she see's what I intend to do, her loyalty to me will be as it once was. I'm sure of it." Turning his attention to the navigation officer, he asked, "How long till we reach our destination?"

"About 15 minutes sir, the city too is being bombarded as well."

"Excellent, let us make haste...to Alexandria." Cyril said as he looked into the Alexandrian skyline, the city appearing to be on fire.
----
Atalanta Palaiologos

"Out of my way!!" Atalanta yelled out at the Oeilvert soldiers as she began a monstrous charge down the theater district. One hapless soldier was quickly gabbed and sent flying into a building on the other side of the street while another was quickly punched through a wall. Her Berserker tendencies were starting to awaken in her and she was now killing her enemies with more frequency and brutality. It would be a matter of time before Atalanta quickly entered her house. "Vanessa!!!! Where are you!!!"
----
The Twinsword

The Twinsword began charging forward, cutting a swath through the Oeilvert's soldiers. As the soldiers lined up to take on the traitor, the Twinsword used her quick speed and agility to cut them down, rushing from target to target and not leaving herself open to attack. The soldiers were unfamiliar with Twinsword's fighting style and were easily cut down, opening the way to the Aircab Station. She entered the aircab to find no one there. "Jeez, how do I fly this thing?"
----
Annelise Steiner

"Anne, I'll give you one warning, don't try to stop me. This mirror is my only chance to kill Cyril."

Seeing Lan raise his claws, Anne raised her sword "How would you even know that that plan will work? Are you really willing to risk the safety of the world for a shot to take down the King, and even if you do manage to succeed, what then? It won't end the war you know!"
----
The Bishop

The Bishop kept an eye on the Burmecian's spear as he charged it with energy, releasing it in an arc as razor sharp cherry blossom leaves came down on her from her right. Raising one hand in the direction of the attack and another hand at the Burmecian if he tried something funny, she kept her eye on the attack, her hand glowing a light green color as she tracked it. As soon as it closed in, a large gust of wind blew out of her hand, blowing away the Cherry Blossoms.

Meanwhile a blue aura surrounded her other hand, "Since you rats love the rain, how ironic would it be if I struck you with some Lightning!" She raised her hand up and then quickly lowered it, calling a thunderbolt to come down on Robert.
----
General Gisale

The General saw Zodiark move backwards as it shot out a beam of black energy heading in her direction. Gisale pointed downward to avoid that attack, but the 6 orbs of light came down, 2 heading straight at her head on, while another 4 move in to follow her like fans to a Lowell concert. Using her sword, she slashed at the two in front of her, the orbs moving to explode in front of her before landing, on the catwalk. Looking up at the four additional orbs, she waited until the attack was within her blades length before she quickly moved back, letting the attack hit the catwalk. Gisale did take some damage from the earlier attack, but she seemed unfazed.

Gisale ran forwards, jumping across the catwalk to the other side in an attempt to strike at Zodiark from a different angle. She did not intend to kill the summoner, and because of that was purposely holding back.

"How would you even know that that plan will work? Are you really willing to risk the safety of the world for a shot to take down the King, and even if you do manage to succeed, what then? It won't end the war you know!"

"I don't know if it works or not. But I'm willing to take the chance. I have Gisale covering my back. Once I take him out, I'll take out the hostile portion of the Six generals before I take over the position as King. Then I'll order a cease-fire. Let the history books remember me as either the man who brought this war to the end or signaled the end of the world, I don't care. I will take the chance." Lan muttered as he loosen his grip on the mirror.

His tail then grabbed the mirror and quickly wrapped around it so it can't slip out. The tail then lined itself close to Lan as he then looked over to Aaron
.

"Prepare yourself. I won't hold back anymore." Lan muttered as he put on his second claw and rushed toward Anne.

A few steps into the run, Lan dove forward, thrusting both of his claws forward and spun while mid jump so his attack would make a drill like motion.
-------
Remilia Oveilia

Remila saw the explosion and saw that Brandish looked unharmed, which put a frown on her face a little bit. She knew trance is running out as evident as the glow around her is fading rapidly. Her eyes soon saw Brandish rushing toward her blind side for an attack.

"Shoot. Zodiark go back." Remilia called out as Zodiark lowered her to the ground before disappearing.

Landing on the ground, the red haired summoner decided to take a chance with a summon as she started to chant.

"Wind Walker, flow maker of discord, arise from the turbulence and blow my foes away. Arise, Chaos, Walker of the Wheel!" Remilia cried out as her words carried three times more force that would get anyone's attention.

Her trances vanished from her as it became focused into her staff. She slammed the staff on the ground as a sudden blast of wind erupt from the point of contact of her staff on the ground. The turbulent wind erupt as a humanoid bull with four arms emerged from wind. In each hand, the humanoid bull holds a sword. One sword burned red with fire, one dusted yellow with earth, one green with the power of wind, and one bubbled blue with the essence of water.

"Chaos, protect me." Remilia called out as the summon nodded.

With that Remilia started to run for Robert as Chaos covered her back, prepared to fend off attacks from brandish.

Robert tried to keep himself from grinning. This was going to be icing on the cake. Instead of dodging the attack, Robert lifted his spear up directly at the bolt. He was about to turn this fight around thanks to the gift his mother gave him before they left Burmecia. As the lightning struck the Burmecian, the Coral Ring he wore activated and turned what was supposed to be harmful magical electricity into a restorative energy, empowering the Burmecian.

He then quickly lunged forward in an attempt to strike at the Bishop with a Lancer attack, laced by the still crackling electricity dancing on the metal of his blade. "Did you really think I wouldn't be prepared for you? You're magics are useless, and by the time I finish with you, you won't be able to teleport away from your fate like you did the last time we fought." He spoke to her, making several more thrusting attacks, each one carrying a chance to inflict Silence upon the Bishop.

He knew from his last encounter and her words from just before the fight that she cared nothing for the lives of others, innocents or enemies. She wanted bloodshed, and to him, she deserved no less than to be on the receiving end of it. He had to bring her down before she ended up killing more innocent lives with her magics or the bombardment.

Aaron saw that Lan had started to attack Annelise, Hearing his plan on what he wanted to do with the mirror.

"You may have your reasons Lan but as a Genome as well I cannot let you do something so reckless with the mirror that would put the world in jeopardy!!" He told Lan as he swung his sword to strike and stop Lans claw from hitting Annelise.

He understood Lans reasoning but this wasn't the way to do it, there was far too much risk involved if the king caught on Lans plan would not only fail, it may kill Lan and put the world of Gaia at risk!

"But, I'll tell you Lan if your that adamant about your goal... Then prove to us you have the power to do it... If you can't beat us, you'll never beat the King!" He spoke out to Lan challenging his his resolve, If he was able to win against two skilled fighters maybe he could do it.

((OOC: If my post has any problems lemme know))

Lan Ester

Lan's claws met with Aaron's sword as sparks flew. Rolling out of his attack, Lan turned to face the two.

"You may have your reasons Lan but as a Genome as well I cannot let you do something so reckless with the mirror that would put the world in jeopardy. But, I'll tell you Lan if your that adamant about your goal... Then prove to us you have the power to do it... If you can't beat us, you'll never beat the King!"

Lan snorted at Aaron's choice of words.

"Power is only one third of any battle. If it were enough, anyone could overpower the mages before they got a spell in. You can fight the King with power all you want. I'll fight him on my terms and if it means using poisons and other underhanded trick, then I'll do it." Lan muttered as he eyed both of the fighters as he casually prepare for a counterattack,

It was Anne who moved in for the attack, moving in to strike at Lan with a thrust, but continuing with an upward slash. She did not approve of such underhanded measures to take on an opponent."Well if you're so confident on using dirty tricks, then you should have no problem using it on me, right?" Anne said in a serious tone.
----
The Bishop

The Bishop cursed at Robert as he absorbed the attack with no ill effects. Seeing him move to thrust at Bishop some more, the Bishop immediately went back on the defensive, moving to dodge each attack.

"Did you really think I wouldn't be prepared for you? You're magics are useless, and by the time I finish with you, you won't be able to teleport away from your fate like you did the last time we fought."

"I don't care how prepared you are, you pathetic rat!" She yelled back, "I will never let you have the honor of killing me! None of you will!!!" The last thrust Bishop sidestepped and tried to make a grab for Robert's spear, in an attempt to hold on long enough for her to recover.

"Well if you're so confident on using dirty tricks, then you should have no problem using it on me, right?"

Lan smiled a bit at the thrust as he decided to use the attack against her.

"Rule number one of any fight: Do anything in your power to win." Lan replied as he batted the thrust away with his claw before he slashed at her with a high slash aimed for Anne's shoulder height from his left claw and a low slash from his right claw to Anne's legs. If the attack connected or not, Lan didn't care as he backed up a little bit to prepare for Aaron's attack.

"Rule number one of any fight: Do anything in your power to win."

"It's true that, thats how you win, but thats not the case here, if you fail You'll hand that mirror right to him and doom us, Can you live with the weight of so many lives you've doomed with your own actions!!"

He saw Lan move back a bit, Aaron glowed with a dark aura his face hidden by his hair.

"Unholy..Sacrifice!!" He spoke before looking back up his eyes black as night.

The Aura around him was absorbed into his blade and swung at Lans left claw if it struck Lans arm would react slower than usual if not the claw may break from the blow, either way if it hit he would be at a disadvantage.

((OOC:Note Unholy Sacrifice is mostly used to limit the enemy movements and shatter equipment.))

It's true that, thats how you win, but thats not the case here, if you fail You'll hand that mirror right to him and doom us, Can you live with the weight of so many lives you've doomed with your own actions!!

"It's basically asking the same thing as saying can you live with the lives you have taken in this war itself. The people that you killed had families, dreams and people they want to protect. I know the pain of losing someone even more then you think. That's why I can take the chance and the consequence of my actions.." Lan muttered before he saw the attack coming for his left claw.

The genome blocked the attack, which shattered the claw. Not missing a beat, Lan rushed in and sent his left foot into Aaron's throat. It was nothing more then to stop him from talking a bit as well as a leverage if it landed. If it did land, the green haired genome would lift himself onto Aaron and slam his right foot down hard on his chest before he jump off of the genome and land on the railing of the airship yard on the other side of Anne.

"That also reminds me of something now. Your mother must have stood in the same position you are standing back when Alexandria was at war. She murdered 100 soldiers and she was able to bear with that sin. I have no doubt that some of those soldiers could have been her friend. Are you willing to bear the sin of murdering me and what of Remilia? Can you tell her that you murdered the one person she cares about?" Lan muttered looking at Anne.

"Who said you have a choice?" He spoke. As she would grab the lance, he would show her that the lance was not his only weapon. The moment she grabbed it, he would deliver a powerful thrusting kick of his clawed foot at her gut, aiming to give her a personal experience of how strong a Burmecian Dragon Knight's legs had to be in order to jump at the heights that they could reach. If she didn't let go of the lance within that split second, she would most likely find herself in a dangerously compromising position and most likely with several fractured or broken ribs, as well as some gouging from the claws of his feet.

General Gisale

As soon as the Lord General jumped from the building to slice at Zodiark, it flew down and dropped its summoner on the catwalk, leaving her to descend towards the summoner. Had it not been for her summoning another Eidolon she could've cut her off once and for all. The Brandish swung her blade forward, in an attempt to stab the beast, if it would do any good at all.

I know the pain of losing someone even more then you think. That's why I can take the chance and the consequence of my actions.."

Watching Lan kick Aaron back and jump over, she saw him come around from behind. Leaving her quite vulnerable to an attack. As she was preparing to attack, he added, "That also reminds me of something now. Your mother must have stood in the same position you are standing back when Alexandria was at war. She murdered 100 soldiers and she was able to bear with that sin. I have no doubt that some of those soldiers could have been her friend. Are you willing to bear the sin of murdering me and what of Remilia? Can you tell her that you murdered the one person she cares about?"

Anne swung her blade, but the moment that he said that about Remilla she stopped her blade short of his neck. The knight was breathing hard, but he was by all means right, "No...I wouldn't." With that she dropped her sword right by Lan's feet, defeated.
----
The Bishop

The Bishop underestimated her opponent again, and this time she paid for it with a sharp thrusting kick, that not only made her let go of the lance, but also broke a few ribs and tore into her flesh a bit. It sent her back, rolling onto the starboard side of the ironclad as she grab hold of her chest, coughing up blood. Looking up at the Burmecian Knight, she was slowly beginning to get up, still in a compromising position after that attack.

Robert Crescent

The Burmecian Dragon Knight wouldn't let an opportunity like this slide away, but at the same time he wouldn't just blindly charge forward as a simple spell could intercept and repel him if he tried. Charging up for one more Cherry Blossom, he would send another wave of razor-sharp energy shards at the recovering general, expecting her to try to use her magic to defend against it, at which point he would then jump in to try and impale the summoner from above while she was dealing with the Cherry Blossom attack.

Aaron grinned when Lans claw shattered from his strike, but Lan quickly countered attempting to kick him, Aaron rose his free hand fast enough to keep it from hitting his throat but the kick was so strong it pushed him back several feet.

"Damn... Not Bad..." He spoke.

He expected Lan was strong but not this strong, then again Aaron was weak from the festivals constant stream of monsters, He dropped his arm to the side and shook off the sting from that kick.

When he recovered he noticed that Annelise nearly killed Lan but stopped short of his neck, not only that she then dropped her sword at his feet.

"Annelise!" He yelled out.

Aaron ran over to Annelise hoping Lan wouldn't be cold enough to kill her!

((OOC:I'll see what Lan does now ))

Lan Ester

Lan held back a flinch as the sword stopped near his neck.

"No...I wouldn't."

With that, Lan saw Anne drop her sword as he then saw Aaron running towards him. Most likely to protect Anne. He grabbed the dropped sword before Anne had any idea of grabbing it.

"You are too kindhearted for the battlefield Anne and it will bite you sooner or later. Before you get yourself killed, I will end this war for you." Lan muttered as he ran past Anne and towards the extraction zone with Anne's sword at hand.

---------------
Remilia Oveilia

Chaos saw the attack come in as it deflected it to the side with one of the four swords. Remilia stopped running and turned as she looked at Brandish.

"Chaos, Aero!" Remilia commanded as Chaos swung the green sword towards Brandish, sending the ball of spinning air at the leader of the six general.

Annelise Steiner

As Lan took off with her sword, Anne looked straight ahead coldly before getting on her knees. She looked down on the ground, Lan's words buzzing in her head like angry bees. She looked at her hands as she palmed her face, cursing herself at her failure. Sighing softly, she said to Aaron, "Do you think...I did the right thing...letting him go?"
----
The Ninja and Eiko Carol

The Ninja looked at Eiko intently as he began walking forward, his eyes looking like they are itching for blood. The Princess of Lindblum quickly brought her flute up and began to charge up a Holy spell. Her palm facing the Lord-General, she shot a brilliant blue light that was certain to engulf the shadowy figure. This followed up with a large explosion. Eiko smiled as she waited to see the dust settled, but upon further discovery, there was no corpse, no injured body, nothing.

"Behind you..." Eiko gasped, her eyes wide with shock as she saw the Ninja's hand come across her mouth and another around her waist. It felt as if there was some sort of drug on the Lord-General's hand as she started to slip out of consciousness. "Hmph..." The ninja grunted as he began to drag the princess' unconscious body to the ship.
----
The Bishop

As The Bishop staggered to her feet, she saw the Burmecian launch another direct attack with his little cherry blossoms. She saw the man jump up immediately. "So that's your game is it?" She thought in her head. Rather than use her magic to block the attack she stood there, her arms crossed as she took the razor sharp petals head on, shredding through her robes and revealing a second set of clothes, a white sleeveless shirt and white long pants underneath her attire. Her arms suffered a good deal of damage from the attack, but the Bishop remained undeterred. Her hands glowing bright yellow as a bright firey orb appeared in her hand. The Bishop stepped back as the Dragon Knight dove down to impale her, and behind her was what potentially was a good hundred foot drop. As soon as he got close, the Bishop stepped back, letting herself fall down, but not before throwing the Mustard Bomb at the man from up close. She laughed hard as she began falling down...

(OOC: Just so you know, she isn't going to die yet...that would be too short of an RP if she did now... :P )
----
The Twinsword

----
General Gisale

The Eidolon was as powerful as they say, easily deflecting her blade to the side, and quickly countered with an Aero spell that blew a blast of swirling air at the Lord General, knocking her away and off the platform, as she started to drop down the hundred foot drop, she began descending to a wall. Using her sword she stabbed at the solid wall, sparks flying as she began to slow her descent.
