Help Recoving the Dead without the Usual Tools

So my party is in the Night Cavern at the end of the game, where there aren't many opportunities (read: no) to buy supplies. Because of those baddies that are generally weak but like to kill you in one blow, I've run out of Phoenix Downs. Trouble is, the party members I have on hand do not know the spell for Raise. So the question: is there any way to restore life if you have neither the Raise spell nor Phoenix Downs? Or do I just hit reset each time it happens?

You don't have any Revive materia?

There really isn't anything else besides Phoenix downs and Revive materia that can raise party members. I think the Phoenix summon does this as well.

You could morph tonberries into safety bits which protect against instant death. :dave:

Anyways there is this girl that looks like the snow queen kind of, just different coloring. She has a enemy skill called angel whisper, get this and you will be able to revive the dead.

That's right. They do.

I was pretty sure something could be morphed into a safety bit though. I know there's one in the great glacier but that won't help now.

The enemy with Angel Whisper is Pollensalta. I think you'll have to manipulate her to get the skill.

Yes, you do have to manipulate Pollensalta in order to learn Angel Whisper. As for the Safety Bit accessory you can obtain them at the shop in Rocket Town for 7500 gils.

Where are you revive spells!?

You need to be better prepared or strong enough to resist the more powerful monsters.
Those scissors guys are the only ones that inflict instant death and the safetybits will help with that at least.

The only thing that may help outside of that is the Death Force Enemy skill.

If you need the immediate healing option you should have acquired the healing wind enemy skill. There are so many options available its amazing you ran out of items and dont have any spells

Erm, why didn't you just unequip revive from one of your dead folk and put it on whoever was alive... Surely that would have made sense

Yea, I don't have Revive as far as I can tell. Neither Heal or Restore materia include it. I pushed through the game pretty fast, but I'm powerful enough - the party is at max in everything. Phoenix is serving the purpose fine.

Actually, no, the Scissors aren't the only ones that cause instant death - a number of them do. Those roulette witches, and that "penguin" with a grudge... to name a few.

Actually 40% of the Monsters that appear in Northern Crater have Instant Death attacks, which are the Gargoyles, Master Tonberry, Scissors, and the Clowns.
