Project Demonix [RP]

In Rene Skylar's Mind

"You are weak." Rene's demon half told him from the abyss of darkness. "You do not deserve strength such as mine." Rene sat up, his clothes torn and bloody.

"Shut up..." Rene groaned, he finally managed to stand up and stumbled around in the darkness. The voice seemed to be emanating from everywhere around him. "If you're gonna insult me then you may as well show your face." As he said this the area in front of him began to swell, eventually it began to form into a human form and Rene saw his other half. He looked exactly like Rene except that his eyes were black and his hair brilliant white. He wore white clothing instead of black. As soon as he materialized Rene's demon grabbed him by the neck and pushed him back into what felt like a wall, despite the fact there was not.

"You are... weak, you do not even have the strength to defeat me." The demon told him. "You no longer even have a sword."

"A sword is a sword, I can easily get another." Rene told him, managing to push him away. Rene crossed his arms and leaned back on to the "wall". "Why aren't I dead demon?"

"Hell if I know, someone saved you I guess." The demon told him, he stood sideways towards Rene with his arms at his side.

"But can you not feel that?" Rene asked looking around himself.

"Feel what, stop talking in riddles."

"Time has splintered..." Rene waved his hand and a long line of sand appeared in mid air. "Yes... Look at that."

"Hm?" The demon looked closely at the sand and bent to get even closer. His eyes suddenly widened and he understood. "There is new sand, it's hard to tell but it's a lighter shade."

"Exactly." Rene waved his hand and the sand disappeared. He huffed, he had used an ancient demon magic that allowed them to see their life span. It was annoyingly hard to translate. "How could this have happened..."

"Like I care, we're still alive aren't we?" The demon said. He turned to Rene and glared at him. "We will need to talk again soon. You must become stronger."

"Yeah yeah..." Rene said as the area around him began to turn white. Rene closed his eyes slowly and felt his body be moved. As the light disappeared, Rene finally awoke from his unconscious state and saw that he was laying down. His torso was wrapped in bandages and his right forearm was in bandages too. He opened his eyes and saw the man keeping watch over him. He instantly recognized his aura and snarled. Rene sat up far too fast and groaned in pain as he glared at the man. "Child! You are a fool!" Rene shouted, despite being in pain. He could tell he was a demon but at the same time a very young child.

"You have fractured time you fool and broken the sacred amendment! You should know that you are not allowed to travel backwards in time! There is too much risk that you could destroy the fabric of time!

Hydra left the doctor, and went to a desolate area where he could try out the marvels of the new weapon. He unstrapped the Zharkjim and held it from both ends. As soon as he began focusing energy in it, it split in half yet again, but this time the form that the weapon acquired was of two revolvers These were, just like the other weapons, actioned by energy, so they shot small masses of concentrated energy, which were able to pierce through various materials, and had an incredible range, but aiming wasn't as pleasant. Nice, I'll just have to remember to practice my aiming and that I've got only a few shots before I use up too much energy.

Hydra put the Zharkjim together again to see which other form it would acquire. By holding only one end of the weapon and inducing the energy, the weapon reacted, yet didn't change shape. However, a thin bluish stream connected both end of the bow, and a small compartment opened up, and an object appeared within it. Oh, so this is also a bow... how... expected... but let's see what it can do... Hydra took out the arrow from the compartment and straightened the bow, he aimed at a tree far away and shot the arrow. Not only was the arrow quick as light, but as soon as it struck it's target it started to glow rapidly, and exploded, leaving only ashes where the tree first stood. When Hydra looked back at the weapon, there was no more arrows. Hm... so I've got only one arrow each time I use the bow... and... it sure drains a lot of energy...

Hydra returned to the medical hut and saw that Rene had been treated. He also noted that he was soon to wake up, so he decided to lie him on a table just outside of it, so, if anything should go wrong, Rene wouldn't destroy the medical hut. However, as soon as Rene woke up it wasn't 'thanks' that he received, but a "You have fractured time you fool and broken the sacred amendment! You should know that you are not allowed to travel backwards in time! There is too much risk that you could destroy the fabric of time!"

"Oh, is that so? So you want me to kill you this very moment? Fine, so be it!" Hydra had taken out his daggers, and was pointing one of them directly at Rene's heart, whilst he kept the other back if this half-demon would retaliate, which was the most possible thing, for what he had just said. Hydra waited for an answer, but even so, didn't move either dagger, he just kept still and made sure not to lower his guard.

Rene Skylar

"Hmph! A mere child such as yourself could not defeat me, even if I am in this weakened state." Rene stated, waving his arm towards the man. He sent an energy wave towards the man using the little energy he had left. The man was sent flying backwards into a tree. The wave has forced Rene to lay back down due to energy loss. As Rene looked back to the man he smirked.

He cradled his head in his hands and tried to remember everything that had happened. His father had defeated his easily due to Rene holding back so he was not consumed by his demon side. His memories flashed back to the end of the battle, his father stood over him with a saddened look on his face.

~~~~~
"Wh- Why don't you finish me dammit?" Rene demanded with the remainder of his strength.
"Because you had the potential to do something that I could not. Rebel." Leon told him in a whisper. "Live child, live and become stronger so that you may fight me as my equal."
~~~~~

"My blade... He took my blade from me..." Rene muttered as he glanced at his hands. "What is your name child?"

Thoughts began to circulate Ruckal's mind. Rene is alive. This is an unexpected turn of events. But it should be fine. Providing he doesn't unite forces with 'him.' Then our domination is still possible.

Ruckal then continued watching the battle. Leon had the upper hand. Rene was eventually dieing...laying in a pool of his own blood...but then a mysterious warrior showed up out of nowhere and escaped with Rene. Ruckal sighed. He then approached his fellow Warlord, Leon, and asked, "You spared his life. Why?" Ruckal then crossed his arms "You do realise that it would be within my duty to report your mercy to the master?"

Leon Skylar

"I trust you far too much to believe you would do that." Leon told his friend as he clapped him lightly on the shoulder. "He is my son Ruckal, perhaps someday you will know why I let him live for yourself. But for now, we have our own objectives to complete. I will see you at the rendezvous. I will go disrupt human communications and you go destroy their weaponry." Leon ordered Ruckal. He then disappeared as he jumped from his position to high in the air. He then threw energy behind him propelling him forward. A classic high speed travel technique.

Ruckal did not answer to Leon, but he did do what he was tasked with. To destroy the human's source of weaponry. Ruckal disappeared also as he took off at a high speed.

Ruckal then begun reviewing what he knew in his mind...Judging by what Grimme told us...a source of human weaponry should be in a location to the south-east...west to a place called Magadon...A type of Military base.

Ruckal then begun to wonder of how Rene survived in this world...was the nourishment here safe for demons to eat...? Ruckal did not know, and then Ruckal realised that it did not matter to him. He then stopped thinking about these things and focused on the road ahead of him.

(OOC: As we know, they aren't gonna go around telling us locations of military bases, so if you ain't sure of when a certain military base is, just make up your own)

"Such vulgar buildings..." Leon muttered as he saw the huge communications array. "I wouldn't even need directions..." He began to walk forward, towards the huge gate blocking the way.

"Штатский человек! Остановите справедливо где вы и поворачиваете вокруг!" A soldier shouted from the watch tower beside the gate. The soldier aimed his assault rifle towards Leon.

"Pathetic..." Leon said, knowing exactly what the man said. "You class me as one of you pathetic humans" As he said this he disappeared, within a second the soldier had been cut in half and Leon was stood exactly where he was a second ago. There was no alarm, which did not surprise Leon. He walked towards the gate and smirked. With one single brush of his hand the gate was thrown inwards. As soon as he did so the automated alarm blared. A squad of 4 soldiers immediately appeared in sight and opened fire. Leon immediately drew his blade and knocked the bullets down with the edge.

"Hmph. Pathetic!" Leon shouted as he sliced through the humans and watched as they fell to pieces. Leon decided to finish his objective here and now as he put his hand to his face and summoned energy to it. Within a few seconds it was ready and he sent a huge bean of light towards the array. An explosion ensued as the array fell to the ground in a pile of dust and rubble.

"Hmph, pitiful. I wonder if Ruckal is having more fun?"

"Oh, now you ask my name?" Said Hydra sarcastically as he stood up. "Why would you want to know that?, or is it that you've just realized..." Yup, that must be it, the look on his face shows it...

"Well, yeah, anyways, name's Hydra, I know these lands almost to perfection, at least I know their state over 500 years later..." Hydra glanced at Rene and then turned around before continuing. "Oh, so you've got no weapons right now? Bad luck... You better get a sword or something before it's too late, although that energy blast you just used is powerful, yet it consumes too much energy from you." Hm... maybe i should go fetch him a sword from the weapons shop over there... or should i stay here and finish the treatment myself...

Hydra then chanted a spell that returned some energy to Rene. "Well that'll be enough to allow you to move around a bit. Anyways, I'll go see what I can get'cha, try not to move too much, though". With this, Hydra left Rene and disappeared into the village.

(OOC: Of course this means that you can do as you please)

"Urgh... What an idiot..." Rene muttered as he sat back up and watched the half-demon walk away. "Does he realise that it's 2400 and they don't sell swords?" Rene crossed his legs and closed his eyes, signaling that he was meditating. Several minutes passed as his wounds began to close and his energy returned faster than it would if he hadn't been relaxing. After 10 more minutes Rene finally took the bandages from around his chest and settled them on the ground in a pile. Using his hands he destroyed a tree and used it as fire wood. He then began to collect scrap metal.

"I hate forging..."

Fayd sheathed his blades quickly and silently. He walked over to the other and said "cant be too careful these days" Fayd decided to sit near to the other and said "my names fayd by the way what might yours be?" truth was he already knew the man but knew that this scientist probably didnt know exactly who he was talking to. he took a moment to take in the others appearance, from the dazzling white hair to his white lab coat. 'its no wonder i couldnt see this guy, he is wearing snow camouflage'. He laughed at his own joke then stopped himself, he leaned forward and warmed his hads on the fire. On his way back to his original sitting position he grabbed a book from a nearby pile. "you mind if i read this?" he asked.

"Thats okay. These days are not safe anymore..." He quickly picked up two cans filled them with pure water. "My name is Kuyo Kamino and yes we may shall read it. It may not be of your liking..." he said it while handing over a book about a certain creature that eats it's preys by showing fancy colours.

((ooc: couldnt resist. wait for the ff7:ac quote!))
after reading a few pages Fayd put it down smiling. "if anything its.. flashy!" he laughed. "so i would guess you are a doctor then?" He said indicating the other mans white coat. "perhaps you knew my father. liche-lord arhmalk of the netherworlds?" He waited until the use of his fathers name subsided, hopeful it had created the interest he wanted. "well to put it short i have recently came into good fortune, i now own his estate and property." Fayd smiled saying this. "sort of a birthday present, you know?" "its not a good as it sounds, all he owns is dust now anyway."

In her short month of being in the future, Faith had learned a few things. One was to fight for your life, no matter what the situation was. The second thing was to trust no one, especially since she was supposed to have died at this point in time. But the third and final one was that demons posed a huge threat to her. Ever since the time-travelling demon that attacked her time had brought her here, Faith had been searching far and wide for it. She felt annoyed now when she walked through the village unable to help, but wonder where on earth that half demon had disappeared to. He's not worth my time, she thought coldly, as her eyes occasionally flickered on fire. He could've answered some of my questions, however ...

"Being from the past sucks," she finally decided, as she came to a halt. There were more demons around her. To them, she'd spread her reputation around as the Demon Slayer. Many demons had come to get a piece of her to only see her true power. Would this encounter be any different? "Zildaanian," they hissed, growling and licking their lips as if she was going to be their lunch. "We've been expecting you for so long now ..." But before one of them could even slash her with its dark claws, Faith had already shot an arrow from the crossbow. It turned into dust, striking fear into the demons. "It's kill or be killed!" she warned them. The demons lunged at her, hoping to spill her blood. Their strength was not enough; she now stood there alone.

Ruckal eventually arrived to his destination...a military base...but only one of the Human's source of weaponry. Ruckal stopped about 400 feet away from the base. He quickly examined the base. The base consisted of three buildings built with red bricks and flat roofs. Two of the buildings were the same size, the one in the left and middle, whilst the third building was bigger than the other two, and on the left.

This can be finished swiftly. My best bet to destroy this base fast is to use 'Arte of Eternal Pain, Shreading Gales'...But it may take me a while to ready this technique...But if I shall begin using it here at a safe distance, none shall disrupt my focus...

Ruckal then lifted both his blades. Both blades glowed Crimson...Ruckal looked forward...he then begun chanting. "The Winds...Twist Your Usual Peaceful Ways For My Needs. I Request Thou To Stop Your Usual Ways And To Do My Bidding..."

(OOC: Prepare for disastrous results :wacky: But I have given someone the oppurtunity to disrupt Ruckal's focus. So who dares rise to the challenge of staring death in the eye :monster: )

Hydra knew perfectly well that he would find no swords in sale anywhere in the village, yet he knew something that Rene didn't: historical facts. So there's this hermit who lives deep in the forest just south of here. He's the legendary blacksmith who made weapons in the war, who was crucial for the human subsistence... Well, I'll just fetch some top class components before going there... Hydra then went to the market to see what was in stock. After a quick look around, he purchased the best components available.

Once in the forest, Hydra had to look carefully to find the hermit, which took him a while. Anyway... what is Rene doing? Oh, he'll probably be forging his own sword... yeah, he probably must've thought that I didn't know what I was doing... After arriving to a cave right in the middle of the forest, Hydra saw a sign which read "Do Not Disturb". Well it can't be more obvious... Hydra thought as he entered slowly.

"I'm here with a job!" Whilst saying this, Hydra unpacked all of the components and had them ready at hand, waiting for the hermit. There was no immediate response, but, suddenly, an old man's shadow appeared.

"And what job is that, if I may ask?" A dark voice asked. "And unless you've got enough to pay for it, you better vanish." Now laughter was heard, as the man approached.

"Well, I need a strong blade, the best that you can forge, here I've got the best components available. Just set the price, and start working now" Said Hydra observing the man. Well, he seems older than what the books state... but I hope that his skills are as great as it's written

"Well, young man, that's fine, I'll work on it in a bit, just help me light the fire to start the forging" The man had now readied all the tools that he needed, and was waiting for Hydra to start the fire.

"Well, that's easy." Said Hydra, as he lighted the fire with the tip of his dagger. He then watched the man work on the blade, until it was finally done.

"You should try it, but do that out of my cave. Anyways, thanks for the job."
Said the man, as he went back into the cave. Hydra thanked the man and left the cave holding the blade firmly with his hands. Nice, Rene will probably be happy about it... well, I'll have to return to the village to see that...

Once back, he glanced at Rene, who was effectively forging a sword, just as he had expected. "Oi, have a look at this! It's all yours anyway, and you can still enchant it as you wish"

"Hmph, a human blade. I suppose I could use it to help me..." As he said this he took this sword and placed the two together in the forge. Using his demonic magic he combined the blades together, making an even better longer katana. After several minutes he took the blade out and cooled it with his magic before fashioning it. The blade was long and sharp, which would be kept that way due to his magic. He placed the blade in his sheath and smiled as the magic sheath extended to fit the blade.

"Hope you didn't pay whoever made this a lot of money. It was quite shoddy workmanship..." Rene told the man. "Hey what was your name anyway. You know mine, I reckon it's rather unfair that i don't know yours"

OOC: gotta make a good introduction, ne? XD

IC:

The fiery haired woman rose to her feet, blood dripping down her torso. Gazing back at the 9 bodies of demons she'd just slain, she cursed. They had surrounded and attacked her for no reason, and now she was injured. It didn't help that she was in the middle of a dense forest either. She'd been just passing through, and they thought her an opponent that would be easy to kill.

"Bastards!"

She dropped to her knees, coughing up blood. She had multiple injuries because of the dastardly creatures all attacking at once from different angles. 3 gashes to the torso, claw marks across her face, her left arm was sliced up rather nastily, her right leg was clawed into several times, and she'd even been stabbed twice. But she'd managed a win over them. Zeria got up and staggered most of the way, until a town came into view. She was somewhere in Russia, but she couldn't pinpoint where. She'd lost her map during the demon fights she'd endured the way here. Many stares followed her as she limped her way and made it to about the middle of this strange area, before her body finally ran out of strength, and her exhausted form hit the ground.

"Curse...this frail body of mine..."

Her fiery red hair draped over her back and arms, almost the same shade of red as the blood pouring from her wounds. Her viper yellow eyes fluttered closed and black nothingness washed over her.......

A groan escaped her lips and she looked up to see that she was not outside anymore. Despite the pain it brought, she sat up and looked around. She was in a bed, bandaged up, and there was a warm fireplace crackling across the room.

"Where....am I?"
"My home"

Zeria growled and snapped back into a defensive position, but calmed. It was an old couple. The elderly woman carried of bowl of something, and the elderly man was holding her weapons.

"Who are you people?"
"Just call us Edna and Daeran. We brought you here after we found you lying in the snow out on the ground"
"You gave us quite a scare with all those wounds of yours"

Zeria bowed her head, brushing loose strands of hair from her face.

"I thank you for your kindness. I was attacked on my journey. I promise you, I will find some way to repay you"
"It will not be necessary"
"Though a name would be nice"

She nodded and smiled weakly.

"You may call me, Zeria Iiyasei. May I have my swords and guns back?"
"But of course, young miss"

The old man set them next to Zeria and her jaw dropped.

"My weapons...you cleaned and polished them like new!"
"I'm a blacksmith. It's my job"

She bowed, still lying in the bed.

"You have my eternal thanks, kind gentleman. And you, kind madam. If there is anything I can ever do for you, please allow me to know"
"Just get well again, and we'll be fine, dear. Here, have some soup"

Zeria accepted the woman's offer and gratefully ate the soup. It was rich, warm, and quite tasty. After she was finished, she lied back down.

"Have the demons been so overpopulated like this as of recent?"
"I'm afraid so, dear. They've all been popping up like bad weeds"
"The townsfolk have tried to get rid of them, but they keep appearing in large numbers"
"Then that is how I will repay you. I shall stick around and continue to slay your problem, that way you can all live in peace..."

And thus, Zeria drifted into a deep sleep once more...

"well, its been fun, thanks for letting me get warm, but demons aint going to kill themselves. you know?!?" Fayd said. Fayd stood up and brushed himself down, he hated getting dirt on his clothes. He stretched out wide and then yawned. "Ok, so i am tired. Hey bud, you staying here all night? if so do you mind if i crash? im just going for a cigarette, tell me when i come back in ok?" fayd walked to the exit of the cave and put his hand in his inside pocket. He brought out a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. Putting one in his mouth he returned the packet to his pocket. He held the flame of the lighter up to the cigarette and dragged on it until it was lit. He continued to smoke it. When he was almost finished and ready to go back in the sky not far from them glowed blue and Fayd heard a demonic incantation on the winds.'what the hell is going on over there?!' Fayd thought to himself as he stamped out the remains of his cigarette. "Hey friend!" Fayd called into the cave to the white haired man. "You fancy coming to find out what the hell someone is enchanting the wind for?"

Kuyo got up and stuff some things up on a bag and left it near the campfire. "I've gather things for you in the cave. Stay there the night." He heard the incantations and looked to the light. "Oh you mean "him"? Ahah, he's only destroying the human military base near here. Don't worry about him." said Kuyo as he began walking towards the blue light. "Hope to see you again. Take care."

(OOC: Sorry for the delay, I have been too friggin' busy with all projects from school and all the like...)

IC:

"Oi, you're shortminded or what? I just told you that my name is Hydra. Ugh... Anyways, I think you're good to go, eh?" Said Hydra as he looked at Rene. He's definitely back to his normal state, and he's brimming with power... Well, seems that my job here is done...

Hydra waited for an answer and seeing that he didn't get one immideately, he decided to turn around and walk away. "Well, if you need anything do tell. You'll most probably know where I am, I know that you can sense this pendant..." Hydra took the pendant in his right hand and held it firmly... remember you're not alone... Hydra then disappeared into the village.

(OOC: Sorry for tyhe short post, Danny made me post, and I didn't have so much time, besides, I haven't read the posts after Zeria's.)
