Right or left handed :D? Lol I keep thinking mainly of question threads, but yeah post. If you were born left handed but went to a catholic school, and ended with a teacher who thought left handed kids were evil, and made with write with your right hand, and as a result your right handed, then pick right handed. That story above happened to me XD, but i'm ambidextrous. I have a overwhelming feeling im gonna get a bunch of "I'm right-handed" responses for some reason...must be something in the air, but definately not statistics :D.

Note: I Spell ambidextrous wrong on the poll because I never knew its english wording :(, in spanish its amibidextro, and in english i knew how it sounded so i spelled it accordingly XD.

Firstly, its spelt ambidextrous, and secondly, yes, I am. I write can write with both, but I prefer to use my right, as it is easier to do so, mainly because my stationary is fit for right handed people

I'm right-handed. I can actually write more legibly if I use my left hand, but I have to write very slowly or else it will look like chicken scratch, and I'm too lazy to practice.

im right handed, i wish i was left hand though=( i hear there insanely artistic in a way, something to do with the brain. i dont know very many leftys but for the ones i do they love to draw and they draw very well. and damn if i could use both hands that would be really cool, are people born knowing how to do that or do they teach themselves...?

Quite the opposite actually. The gene that affects left-handedness slightly raises the risk for schizophrenia.

There's really nothing to know persay. There are a couple theories as to what causes it, one says high rates of testosterone before birth can cause it (which would explain why the lefty I knew was a jock). Another says that ultrasound scans may cause it, although that theory doesn't really have sufficient data to support itself.

You can teach it to yourself though, it just comes from developing greater muscle control.

I'm right-handed.Once I broke my right hand and I forced myself to write with the left hand.It took me 5 mins to write a simple sentence so I gave up.

I'm right handed although if I concentrate really hard (and feel like I'm back in bloody primary school) I can actually write quite well with my left hand, although I wouldn't say I'm ambidextrous, it hurts my arm and requires too much effort

My mums left handed and so was my granddad and my ex was aswel :monster: None of which were artistic in anyway, my mum can't even draw stick men :wacky:

She is abit batty though :monster:

I'm right-handed. I've tried writing with my left-hand several times just to see the outcome and the result is definitely not pretty. I suppose if I practice enough, I'd probably get it down right, but I really can't be bothered. I'll worry about that when I hurt my right hand and have to resort to using my left instead.

>.> I was never shown how to spell it, so I sounded it out, english is my second language after all, thank you for clarfying that.

I'm left handed. My mom is left handed as well. I've tried countless times trying to write with my right, and it's absolutely horrendous. :P

I've never really liked being left handed, people expect you're some smartass nerd over here. XD And that the way I write affects my way of drawing as well, which causes a bunch of problems. Gotta check on that.

I mostly do everything else with my right hand.

I'm right-handed, I really wish I was ambidextrous though, think of all the time it would save! :wacky: But it would be really useful for building the muscles in each arm equally, as most people tend to have larger right arms than left (and vice versa for lefty's, obviously).

Whenever I try writing with my left hand it just resembles my hand-writing when I was five, which makes me wonder that if I practiced enough, I might be able to write legibly with my left hand.. I don't think it'd work though because I lack any balance in my left hand. >_>

I'm right-handed. And I do not believe that there really are many differences just because of the hand with which you write. Oo

I'm right-handed, but I can bat from both sides of the plate in baseball. Maybe that counts for something. I sure can't write with my left hand, though. I tried drawing with my left hand for kicks one day, and I could barely put a stickman together. His head was lumpy...

I'm right handed, but after many boring economics lessons i taught myself to write with my left hand. It takes longer and requires effort, which writing with my right doesn't.
Although I'm not ambidextrous, I can't throw with my left hand or do anything else.

I'm right handed, although sometimes I enjoy trying to do things with my left hand for fun :wacky:

I'd say I'm about 90% ambidextrous. I'm naturally right handed really but the majority of the stuff I can do with my right hand I can do just as well with my left. It's when it comes down to writing and such that my right hand is the stronger of the two.
But still, ambidextrous for me. ^_^

Ambidexterous. I was originally right handed, but due to having extra time during grade 11, I spent all that time practicing with my left hand on Latin declensions and conjugations. I even made my left hand imitate the handwriting of my English teacher's. I also eventually practiced using chopsticks with my left hand, and could pick up two pieces of food with two pairs of chopsticks at the same time. I also applied this to writing, so I had it where I could write two different words at the same time--I haven't gotten it to writing two entirely separate things at the same time yet though. I also practiced drawing a bit with my left, but my left hand is less accurate. I still write with my left hand because it's hard to write on the left side of the binder with my right hand because of the binder rings.

I'm not saying any of these things for the sake of bragging, but that if you practice at it, it's possible to learn these things.

I'm a southpaw. Although I do things like lifting more with my right hand, I write, draw, work the remote control with my left.
