I'm fairly sure they've announced it'll be released on the DS, Bolt 
Although some of the new Pokémon look awful, I'll still buy the game. I need to see them in the game to really judge, to be honest. I think if we had seen pictures of just Pokémon from any of the other games, they would have been received negatively too.

I was thinking that, but hoping otherwise...two Pokémon generations on the same handheld, nowadays? Preposterous!
I was really hoping these would somehow be for the Nintendo 3DS, but I guess not.

pokemon on the 3ds would be pretty cool, especially when you have an attack like flamethrower or thundershock.
I would think it would be on the 3DS. The 3DS was only announced and usually when they're releasing a new Gen, it'll take them a year, nearly a year and a half to let all the Pokemon be released to the public.
Plus every new gen has been on a new handheld.

But what Mark said. It looks like its on Ds but still has 3D feautures I don think it will be on the 3ds tbh. Thats like saying hwy guys you cant play pokemon till you spend another 200 bucks

Wikipedia isn't God, that's subject to change. Pokemon would be the ultimate (if not Mario or Zelda) opening game for a new handheld. Plus the 3D capabilities would be completely utilized by the 3DS, as opposed to the regular DSi/lite/XL/zomgcrapfactory.

Yeah, I don't think there is any doubt about what system these games should be released for, but I am not so sure that it will be for that system (3DS), it is starting to look like it could just be yet another DS Pokémon game...like it needs anymore, 3DS needs it. 
As far as I know from the official announcements earlier, Black and White are for the ordinary Nintendo DS. I haven't heard anything about it being on the 3DS, but Channy raises a good point - why pass on this opportunity to line up the 5th generation for a new-ish handheld console?
According to Nintendo lots of new pokemon will be made. So I am thinking around 150 will be ok. Also whats this "random match" in pokemon Black and white? It does sound alot like matchmaking. If it is its about time also. Just hopefully you can set rules like no legends and all that. That would really be cool.

Some of those locations look utterly gorgeous, it makes me more excited for the game seeing more of the gameplay.

it looks like it HAS to be on the 3ds because the dsi can't connect to the internet that way and that is main thing the Nintendo press conference said about the 3ds besides the 3d aspect

Eww, three Pokemon battles? x: That's a bit of an overkill... I had an issue as it is liking doubles, but triples is just too much.
It's released on normal DS handhelds, although it just looks like it's using standard wireless to me which Pearl/Diamond and HeartGold/SoulSilver all did too. I'd have stuck with NDS anyway, 130 million DS handhelds or a couple of million 3DS handhelds, I know where I'd be making the money from.
I hope they redesign the pokeball screen before it's released though, it looks as if someone's attempted it using paint =|
