Pirates of the Caribbean 3

This movie was a terrible waste and an awful ending to the series. The movie had too much thrown in it that it became a mess.

They had a perfectly good plot in the second movie they could continue on, but then they added a freakin Sea Goddes for no real apparent or useful reason. I mean she turns into crabs, and a storm comes... Do you really have to go that far just to create a storm in a movie?

Chow Yun Fat. Why in the seven seas was he in the movie?

Too much bloody drama. Chow Yun Fat dies in the movie and there is this whole dramatic scene. Why? We didn't even care about the character yet, he didn't have enough screentime to make that happen.

Then they promote the whole end battle. Pirates versus the East Indian Company. Oh..You mean two ships are going to do battle...I see..And after that they just run when they still outnumber all the pirate ships with what? 20 to 1?

This movie had a mediocre script, seriously.

Some actors have been contracted for a fourth and fifth mocie, so it hasn't ended the series. The ending of AWE pretty much makes it clear what's going to happen in the next one.
I agree that at times the plot becamse confusing, but if you watch it again it all makes sense.

I thought he played a good character for his brief time in it. I did care that he died, though I'm still not sure whether or not I liked Sao Feng.

That final battle is probably one of the best cinematic experiences ever. It may even rival that of LotR's battles.
And they run because the pirates have the two most infamous ships heading their fleet (The Black Pearl and The Flying Dutchman) one of which is Captained by an immortal. I know that's scare me shitless.

What? The ending was amazing. Jack's little speech at those two women was hilarious, and the multiple references to the first film were nice as well. It made it really obvious in the cinema who had and who hadn't seen it.

I agree, the ending was brilliant and I was in tears with Will and Elizabeth and Jacks ending was excellent and amusing.

ima see it on the internet as soon as i get home. But yeah i heard it was as good as the first two. But then a few ppl told me it sucked.

I Just got back from seeing it.. MAN IT WAS GOOD. I've seen the first two and this was a great instalment to the series. Although I really don't want to agree with Pooley (J/K) I thought the storyline was awesome. It had just enough humor and plenty of adventure. My favorite parts where the multiple Jacks, (how cool was that) and the end after the credits.

I loved the part with the boat full of Jacks! I shouted out "My dream come true!" in the cinema lol. I didnt stay till the end to see the final credit, but I was told what occured and I regret not staying now.

Imo....

It could have been a lot better but there were some instances that I like it, for example, I think that the green flash reference..for any of you who have been on a boat...was kind of fun. Also Davy Jone's locker, that was interesting.

Calypso was just...ugh. She should have turned into something else than she-hulk, and I think it'd have been cool to see the Dutchman crew with more of a back story, like srsyly, I want to know WHY they turned into the certain types of sea creatures they did! Like why was Maccus (The hammerhead guy) turned into a hammerhead? I wanna know!

Also, James Norrington, imo, the best character in the movies, or at least the best acting. He was overlooked in almost every light and his death was heroic, and very noble, but he should've had more screen time regardless...

...um...that's it for now i guess =/

I just assumed that they turned into various manners of sea-creatures because Davey Jones needed the crew. And it happened to him because he didn't follow his orders from Calypso.

I thought that Geoffrey Rush/Captain Barbossa was the best character though.

Indefinitely so. He's just so... entertaining. I loved pretty much all his scenes.

... there was extra stuff after the credits? :(

Saw it a couple of nights ago and enjoyed it, but there were definitely some flaws.

The Brethren Court was a nice idea but wasn't expanded on well enough, they were introduced and then brought along to the fight only to do nothing, like someone has pointed out. And also the fact that one of them was only a first mate......

The fact that the vilain is pretty pathetic didn't feel right either, in adventure/action films I expect the antagonist to be someone who has a few aces up their sleeves come the end of it, not a snivelling little runt.

Still, a nice finish to that arc, presumably.

Yes, after the credits have rolled, there is a scene. Im sure YouTube or TVLinks stocks it. And I agree about Captain Barbossa, he was by far the most entertaining!

Well, what can I say? It just keeps getting better and better, although it was kinda confusing at first.

Captain Barbossa was hilarious. Gotta love him. The whole Calypso thing kinda threw me off though. I felt like it was kinda unnecessary.

Will Turner's fate really made me kinda sad, I must say. But it did add drama towards the end, so...it's all good.

Anyway, I can see a 4th one coming. Can't wait. xD
