I do gotta agree with julius here. Her face is really soft and needs to be darkened some to make it stand out some more. Maybe give her a very slight black glow to help her stand out.

Also, the text looks a little bit off-center, moving it left a few pixels will make that corner look more even.

And if you dare, you could even go in and add in some lines to her face (like the eyebrows, eyesockets, inside of the ear) and smudge them to give her face more details. This would take some trial and error though, but would give her more features.

I do like that background though, very nicely done and blended seamlessly too.
 
Since everybody is having a problem with my critic then this time it's gonna be a good one,just like you like.

I believe you should take off that border,it doesn't compliment the sig since is white and most of the colors in your tag are yellow,orange and red.
I don't like the font or the place where you put the sig.You could place it near the stock maybe and be creative and use different fonts in one text.
The stock is pretty but is kinda blured,maybe try sharpening it a little.

What I really like are the colors of the obvious,they give you this feeling that the tag is "alive".

I didn't really like the stock of Celes, so i changed it for a stock of Celes and Locke which i found really pretty ^_^

Nobody cares what you don't like if you say it with an attitude.

I like it fine. The border is fine, IMO, the background doesn't seem "blurred" and the colors blend well with Celes. Mark, you're getting lots better at your sigs ^_^

I never said that the BG was blurred.

My bad. You said stock, not background. Stock doesn't look blurred to me either, though. It's hard to tell it's Locke in the pic, I thought it was Zack, but hey, looks good regardless xD
 
Anyway, tried a whole new tutorial - no C4Ds, and only one use of brushes - the rest of it was all filters and bluring it and shizz.

I know it says Ashe and Penelo, but I can't see the text so well. The pics, maybe using the nudge option around the borders of Ashe and Penelo would help. Looks good, so I think it might be just the text, I don't know since I am not much of an expert myself, I am a nOOb :P
 
The only thing i see is that the characters seem to be sticking out more then the background. I love it and i love the background. I gotta find that tut xD
 
I liked this pretty Agrias stock, so I tried to do something similar to the Celes sigs I've made...

I think that there should be more than the backround and the character in it, though you are getting the hang of it.
