Calling all PS Experts

I need help with this stupid MINOR ISSUE, but it's a critical tool to use.

As you can see, whenever I select the smudge tool (R or Right click on Blur Tool) and I want to edit the settings. For some stupid reason, SCATTER is not selectable and isn't even available to me at all. Why?

Anyone know the problem?

:rage: HELP MEH!!!

+Rep for helping.

@ALBA

Yes.

It doesn't work for any brush AT ALL.

It works with any other tool, but not smudging.

@Diana

Nope, I just looked, there's no updates or patches.

hmm that is really odd. I only ever use scatter when smudging so it should work =/

Try resarting your comp and or photoshop. Or unclick other settings and see if that works.

Try ringing them...?

Helpline

^^ They may help you

...or, uninstall and reinstall maybe?

Id say google the prblem or go and ask on a gfx forum.

sigresource.com

Someone there will know

If it's not built for scattering, then why the hell would IT EVEN BE THERE.

Have you smudged with scattering on your version of PS before?

In any case, I've heard of this problem before. There was a thread created by someone who had it and the replies were similar to what JVTP said.

It would be there because it may become activated when you upgrade. But I have no idea if that's true or not because I got PS with all the setting available.

EDIT: Well...

Cause the scatter is there for the brush tool for making effects with the sparkle brushes. PS7 isn't for smudge scattering.
