Yep, looks like they ditched using Luneth, after all my excitement started to build up. There goes my chance for dual-wielding.

But, there's at least an added bonus, a ninja class is available for the Onion Knight.

Cloud of Darkness though, her outfit is gonna attract a lot of attention from fellow villians.

I was reading the title at first and kind of focused on 'CLOUD', not knowing about FFIII's story.... yeah. I was like wtf? xD

Looks naff all like the cloud of darkness if you ask me, although she's looking rather provocative there, with that claw thing over one boob and a nipple tassle on the other. It's only a matter of time before these games get 18 ratings

Anyways, yeah, theres no way I'd think that was her >_>

Her hair and the two tentacle-things are the only resemblance, though in fairness her original design would've looked awful in Dissidia. A bit annoying how they've reduced her physical size too - she should be way bigger. >_> Could just be how we're seeing her so far, though.

Looking forward to playing as her. =D

You should play more of the games, then. And no, it's not a nipple, it's the red portion of cloth (or leather) that's wrapped around her body. She uh, doesn't look anything like her original design though:

But like Lurid said, her original design probably would have looked bad in Dissidia...not to mention I can't see how it could even function in a fighting game. Nomura could have at least kept the green skin and godlike look, I don't know why he had to make her look like a normal woman who's barely clothed. Damn perv

But having the onion knight is pretty cool. The helmet actually curving upwards so it doesn't touch his spikey hair is a bit much, though. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Nomura's designs?

I don't think you should take into consideration 8-Bit sprite (ESPECIALLY not color) designs when considering "original designs"...Find Amano's art then come back to me...Well, I just found the DS in-game of her too...It's basically the same as the 8-Bit...so maybe the green-skinned version (which I will from here-on continue to refer to as Cloud of Darkness's Hulked Out form) will be her transformation...?

It looks like the Ninja version is doing just that...And it also happens to look like a tribute to the original FFIII cover, as well (much like the Warrior of Light's tribute to the original FFI cover art I recall seeing in one of the videos).

Anyways...c'mon! Give us FFVI already...! It's stupid hard to see wherever it is Kefka is in the Dissidia poster. V_V

Actually I was going to use a pic of his art...only I couldn't find any. I used to have a site bookmarked that had almost all his FF art, but I lost it, so I just went with the 8-bit look.

I hope so, because I honestly prefer her hulked out form. It resembles Shiva in that there's a lustful aspect to it, but there's still a mystical aspect to it. Her new form is more of a "HAI GUISE LOOKIT ME IM HAWT GENERIC ANIME CHICK #372541 FAP TO ME" and it's just so lame and unoriginal as an artist. All it's doing is relying on the hormones of gamers to invoke interest, rather than trying to go beyond that. But then again, I don't consider Nomura an artist anyway.

Quite agree I really hope they remake it on the PSP (or even a home console). Not that I want Sony to have it, but the chibi style IV has (and III) really did NOT suit the story. It's a little too mature, and cutesy (and bad) graphics do not fit dragoons and dark knights. VI is really dark, so the graphics need to reflect that.

Nomura really has outdone himself on raping character designs. THAT is Cloud of Darkness? ... That's just beyond pathetic. The only thing that remotely resembles her is the heart on her forehead. The bulky goddess design is so much better. CoD isn't meant to be a slut ... and that outfit is just terrible. It just prays on the minds of hormonal teen boys that wish their hand was in place of the claw over her boob. I'm actually at a loss of words as to how bad that design is.

Any hopes that I had of Dissidia have been effectively bent over and raped up the arse by the cockmaster himself. Good job, Nomura!

Slight reinvention of her design, but I'd say that worked. Probably a little too influenced by Rydia's similar reinvention though. >_>

It continues to look like Dissidia'll use completely unique (kind of boring looking) stages...I haven't seen anything that looks familiar anyways...I think Cloud of Darkness looks great.
