Okay, so there I was, coming out of the dungeons or mines or whatever and there I see it:

A wild saurian.

So, my ego is like up there, ya know? I just kill everything in one hit, no challenge, and I'm like, I'm gonna take this thing down!

So me and my level 8 posse went up to go take this dino DOWN!

So, I hit it and it's like RAWWWAAR! and bam, my party is dead! OH SHIT! So, I bring in my second party, to run away, you know? And RAWWWAR! dead.

So that is the tale of my humiliation. My posse got pwned.
 
That happened to me too. I know the feeling.
 
hahahahaha I fucked up so many times at the beginning of this godforsaken game. I kept getting lost and going the wrong way. I won't go into how many times I died. Humiliation is not the word lol
 
Oh dear.

I just ran past the thing and it chased me. Haha, it's still funny everytime. But now I just kick its ass each time it tries it on with me.
 
It's too easy to get lost round Rabanastre. Go out of the wrong gate and your doomed
 
lol the same thing happened to me too. I thought I was going to own him and then he killed me in two seconds. Now that I've beaten the game, I go and whip his but just for fun
 
You were level 8. The Wild Saurian in the Dalmascan Estersand varies between levels 25 - 29.

Haha. You think the Saurian is tough? Try using your magic around a giant Entite. Doesn't matter what type of magic - just you wait and see what happens. Entites are to be feared a lot more than that puppy of a dinosaur.

Lord, Zertinan Caverns. I once took a walk into there and saw snake like covered horses. Ooh, let's get closer I thought. However, somethine told me to cast Libra, and thank God I did. Those guys were tough, at much higher levels.

Haha, there's something worser then Entites. Ever seen the level 99 Red Chocobo? Yeah, don't go near it. Just don't. Only if you're at his level or are loaded with amazing shit. I took this guy on at level 49/50 in my first playthrough, and was battered. Tried to run away, but it casted Meteor or something on me repeatedly. Damn, my ego was so deflated that day~

I feel your pain, I did this as well. Right at the start of the game. Oh no, that TRex doesnt look so tough ... God Im an idiot!

Ozmone plains - Haulo Green.
A probability of 1 in 256 after obtaining the Treaty Blade and after defeating six or more chocbos on Ozmone Plain.
It also drops a ribbon if you manage to kill it :D
 
I'm gonna assume that you're talking about the Barheim Passage.
It can be quite hard going through there, and some of those dinos can raep you if given the chance. I'd use libra before going to take on big, intimidating looking things, especially in the early stages of the game. You don't want to visit the Penumbra in the Pharos Lighthouse.

I might hunt this Chocobo, but using the Diamond Armlet and looking for the Ribbon in the Necrohol of Nabudis or Henne Mines is probably a better idea...
You can also get it from Vishno, but I only got some stupid stone last time I tried.

I've been killed many times over, but when you see a gigantic dino and you're only level 8, the first thing you do is run.
 
Tsk tsk, only level 8? You're crazy. xD

But then again, so was I. Yeah, he killed me too. However, it wasn't my intention to initiate a battle...I just saw him coming on my left and before I knew it...battle music comes on. Of course I tried to run away, but it was futile.

After that though, I was able to run away from him countless times, until I managed to get a higher level and initiated a battle to finally claim my victory.
 
The dinosaur in the Estersand was neutral. Are we all on about the same Estersand dino here? XD
