I'm not sure if this is a generic thing or not [if I was, then I wouldn't be making a thread], but since I've turned sixteen I feel much more ... cocky. Arrogant? Nah, not quite, but I definitely feel this sense of being slightly more untouchable :P

Long-story short, have you felt the same after a birthday?

I just felt the urge to buy a lottery ticket.

Nothing else really, I could careless for being 16, it's overrated. Just like 17 will be in two weeks.

On my 17th I suddenly felt older and more independent. It could be because my parents were away at the time. Either way, I felt more "untouchable". :P

However, I'm not too bothered about being older.

You have become more cocky and arrogant, but it started long before you turned 16 lol (by which i mean weeks)

Ive bought a lottery ticket woohoo, but i was 14 (rebel). it wasnt for me though it was for my gran hahah. ANyhoooooo

I don't hate you =O
I love you lots and lots and lots! :D
But you have changed, gotta admit.

I dont think i have changed since i was 6....

After I turned 18, I felt rather odd. I blame the excessive amount of alcohol I had on that night. :monster:

I don't think I've ever felt "older" really as I've got older. It's more of a progressive change that you don't notice until you look back.

When I was 16, I was concieted and stuck up. I don't think that was a good age for me at all. When I turned 19 this year, I made a resolution to become a better person; and that's working out for me pretty well. XD

Not so much age, but when I reached year 11 in my school I was alot more cocky and arrogant because Only Yr 11's were stronger than me.

Getting into VIth Form makes a difference, pretty much because everyone stops giving you cheek and they move out of your way. It feels like power. =]

Blame the new group of friends. I GREW UP ;)

....this is also applicable to my sixteenth - to the point where a few of us ended up singing karaoke to various Disney songs.

The scariest thing is that we all knew all of the words to every song.

Lol well i grew up too obviously but i just don't feel much different to what i did when i was wee, im still easily amused and distracted like i was as a child etc etc.

And i would have found it scarier if you DIDNT know all the words =O King Louie aba doobeeeeee daba dooba daba, that's ME!

Very, very true. Haha. Although my school's now being strict with 6th formers - I'm in upper 6th. I was 2 minutes early for school on Monday and they accused me of being late and said a letter would be sent home if I was late again. Many others got the same lecture. About half the year. About 5 of us were there on time. The others were late.

I just turned 21 a few weeks ago, and I honestly don't think there are any changes at all. Still the same old me...even my viewpoints still stands the same.

I don't know, I guess I don't really take the whole "growing up" seriously as I should. I'd like to just sit still with time and watch the clock tick by...although that would be pretty damn boring. Still, it's something sentimental to me to just pause the time sometimes, and take everything all in (stuff that goes through my life) at once...just to ponder.
