Odin

Quite a bit yeah. Odin in my opinion is a lot better than Gilgamesh anyway cus you know that when he appeared the enemy dissapeared :)

With Gilgamesh he might just use Excalipoor!

I was glad when Seifer got his come uppance though! x

:)i thought it was funny the way he sorta just walked straight into seifers sword then split in two with seifer not using any force at all.:)

Um, why is the topic in Final Fantasy X? We're talking about VIII right? Anyway, I wasn't sad at all. I mean, I probably went, "Damn"...but sad wasn't the word to describe it.

^ I was just thinking that same thing.

I thought it was interesting. I wasn't expecting a summon to die and become unavaliable. I guess it was more surprising than anything.

So that's what happened?
I always thought Odin evolved or something. :P

Anyway, yeah, I missed him too, I got him a long time before I went in to face Seifer so I was quite disappointed but surprised when I saw Gilgamesh just walk in. I thought it was funny, honestly. ^_^

I didn't mind. I love Odin and all, but I'm very glad that gilgamesh finally made an appearance in the series again. =]

Sad? No. Surprised? Yes. Ok, I lie. I was a little sad as well. I was thinking, "Damn, there goes a great summon." However, I was more pleased with Gilgamesh. It's like playing Russian Roulette. In addition, he could heavily damage bosses who were otherwise immune to Odin's attack.

Yes, I was sad, and very annoyed when Odin died. At least Odin came in at the start of a fight and killed all enemies. Oh boy did he save my ass in Estar once when a Malboro appeared. My characters weren't ready. >_<

I don't like Gilgamesh. During boss fights he randomly comes in and uses Zantetsuken. Me: "Thanks....that was a waste of my time..."

That may be true, but what about when he popped out in big boss fights and opened the boss a new one?

I apologize, I meant when he appeared and executed one of his stronger attacks on a boss, therefore dealing a hefty amount of damage to their HP.

Yes, but if your fighting Omega weapon and he comes in, Gilgamesh does 9999 damage. Doing 9999 to a boss with a million HP is nothing. During that time span Squall can be using Lion Heart. Not to mention he has Excalipoor which does 1 damage. :/

True, however any damage is help. You can have Squall use "Lionheart" and while his bar recharges, Odin can pop in and bust out some sever damage. Hey, it can happen...

I was not sad to see Odin getting slashed in two by Seifer...

I was however disappointed with Gilgamesh i mean the guy is pretty pathetic i still remember when he used Excalibur on Omega and did 1 point of damage...

I don´t know why he is able to beat Seifer because Odin is clearly more useful...

That´s why probably Odin is a Lv9 GF card and Gilgamesh is only a Lv8 GF card!

when seifer pwned odin i was quite shocked by it but as i am a fan of gilgamesh i was pleased with him and one thing i wonder is how gilgamesh can blow him away yet after the battle he is standing right in front of you

Lol I was always happy to see Odin appear at the beginning of the battle because you knew it was an easy victory ;P I didn't like how long it took but the way he killed his enemies was impressive with the japanese characters and all. Sometimes only a little sliver of the enemy would be cut off but it was still so evil, hehe.
