Well, I didn't see a topic for this yet. Could've been placed in the Nintendo section, but meh, I chose Handheld.

So, anyone plays the game? It's quite addicting, and I'm starting to feel dumb playing with virtual puppies, but oh well.

Let's see, I have a husky named Mitsuki (lol) and a Shiba Inu named Prince (after my husband's dog who he had to sell). I just reached 4000 Trainer Points yesterday so I unlocked the Shiba Inu. What coolness!

I must say that the trials are kinda hard though, especially the Championship for Disc trials. My Mitsuki cannot, for the life of me, reach 45 points. Still training. The Agility trial I totally pwned though. xD As for the Obedience...oh my gosh, Mitsuki keeps doing the wrong tricks even though I'm telling her to do one other thing. Is that normal? It's frustrating!

Anyway, I can't wait to use Bark Mode! I bought a USB wi-fi connector, and I just hope it'll let me find other players to play with all over the world and not limited to 65 feet like PictoChat. -_- Because that would be dumb.

Obediance training never ever worked with me either D: Agility trials rock though ^_^ I got like...20,000 trainer points on this game before i got bored, on walks look for any items, if you get the firemans hat you can unlock the dalmation puppy! So cute xD

Don't worry--the Wi-Fi Connector will certainly allow you to interact with players beyond 65 feet. I use a wireless router to connect to Wi-Fi, personally.

But anyway...

I played some demo of Nintendogs at Gamestop a few months back. Can't say it was the most entertaining moment of my life. The game is pretty much an advanced Neopet...or Gigapet. Whatever those virtual pets were called...

i dont own a DS or this game but i have played it on a friends DS and it is a realy god game surprisingly addictive aswell

Really! Nintendogs works on wi-fi?!

anyway, back on topic, I got this game a few years back, came free with the DS, I have some good memories of this game, I have well over 100 thousand trainr points, and only one more dog to unlock (not counting the two hidden dogs)

These doggies are incredibly sweet. :D I have a husky named Max, and a dashund named Gloria. Both really cute. :D

I like the obstacle courses.

I got this game as a gift a while ago. I got a cute little dog named Bijoux....and now I think it's dead or severely diseased because I haven't touched that game in forever o_O

I actually never played it enough to understand the point of it....I just figured it was a high-tech version of Tamagotchis.

Basically, that's all it really is... the puppies never get older, or die... they just get hungry or get fleas/severly dirty....

There are only basically 3 games in it, and besides that... you just take care of your dog. Still cute, especially if your bored.

Um ok, so I let my daughter play Nintendogs and a few hours later, my dog Mitsuki was gone! o.o I haven't touched this game for months, and the last time I saw my siberian husky was a month ago. Now she just disappeared.

...My daughter accidentally donated my first e-dog! >.< And I trained her so hard too...

Ouch. What a bummer.

I find the Obedience trials to be the hardest, as there is no sure way to make certain that it can understand you. At higher levels, a simple misunderstanding can lose you the Gold Trophy. That's why I prefer the agility trials. My only annoyance is then when your dog jumps from a bad angle over a pole, it is more than likely that it will hit it, and also when your dog runs around in front of the jump for ages, and then jumps and does this near-vertical jump and lands straight on top of the pole.

Quite fun^^
Feels starnge playing with a virtual doggie :/
Rigth my problem with the obedience contest^^

A cousin of mine got some sort of cheat thingy and made the nintendog giant (as big as the whole room) xD

But well, the data was deleted.

I got a D.S from my mom on Christmas and my first game was Nintendogs because my sis got me hooked on it. My first dog was a Dalmatian and her name was Maggy. She knew lots of cool tricks such as sit, lie, rollover and other tricks. I haven't played much anymore but I still like the game. I have lots of dogs but I forgot there names.

I love Nintendogs, and I used to play on it all the time. I have loads of dogs, the max amount on my own game, and I currently own a friends copy, but havent touched it for ages. I need to go on it again for nostalgic purposes :P

I start to play Nintendogs now because we start to travel from state to state. My brother also plays it to. It seem like he take control of my games and that make me mad. So when he does not play it I put his dogs in the hotel and take mine out. I think I got 3-4 dogs.

One of my cousins always plays this nintendogs game. Its an ok game but its not something I like but my cousin loves that game. Everytime I see him he is playing it all the time. Once I was playing when he went to the bathroom and he comes out he sais hey do not touch my dogs then I say its just a game and he almost cried lol.

Lol that was really funny. I do that somtimes because when my brother plays it I go to my mom and complain.:} Then my mom says If your not playing it then let him play it. I mean he needs to buy his own Nintendog game. I got it with my DS for christmas.

I might buy another nintendogs game just because I wanna collect all kinds of dogs.

I played mine for so long I unlocked lots of species. =D
I even got my mum into it temporarily, and she did all sorts of stuff with them, and she even made a dog xD

What is this game meant to be? I played my sisters and I got the feeling that it was meant to be some sort of realistic dog handling/training game. :wacky:...which it failed horribly at. xD

But yeah, I only played a few minutes before I got bored. The competitions were alright I guess, but the rest of it was...meh. =/

Ahaha, I drove my stepdad CRAZY with this game. XD I kept calling the commands over and over. XD It's cute though. : ) I love my dogs Max and Gloria. <3

I can't believe it's been over 5 years since this game was released. It feels like just yesterday that I was playing this game on my aunt's DS. She even had the Nintendogs skin on the damn console. :mokken: Anyway, I found this game to be very fun. I always wanted a game like this. Luckily, there's a bunch now. Hehe.. I found it to be awesome. I would def play it again if I could find it.
