Square-Enix said a few years now, its supposed to drop before may, one of their ads stated we would experience hauntingly familiar environments, as for the story, the main character loses his daughter, and hes out for vengeance, i think shes kidnapped, but its an action RPG, so it should be good
The loss of choice between Gestalt and Replicant still irritates me a bit, and since Cavia hasn't really the best reputation as a developer, I'm still a little sceptical towards how good this game will be.
The towns and overworld (if that's what you call them) look pretty enough. Gameplay wise, I'm rather intrigued to try actually. It certainly looks fast despite Nier having such a huge sword. The monster designs look absolutely crazy. I want to see more of them.
If this game does turn out to be amazing, it will be a big surprise. How well it will fare against other big releases such as God of War III will be interesting.
