Nothing's going to change in regards to the news section. Fact. :monster:

THIS IS A POST COUNT AREA. POSTS LIKE THESE ARE CONSIDERED SPAM POSTS IN POST COUNT SECTIONS. PLEASE PUT MORE EFFORT INTO YOUR POSTS AS POSTS LIKE THESE MAY BE DELETED IN FUTURE.

Just a quick question: do you guys actually ask for permission before you copy and paste articles onto the forum? If not, I think that's a practice you may want to revise. For your own sake and for the sake of whoever the owner of this site is.

Plagiarism only come into play when you claim it as your own. I'm sure they won't mind that all news is credited to the original owner, in which people click the link, they get hits.

what planet are you living on where having too many news threads is actually a major concern to the forum

OH LOOK AT ME I'M TOO LAZY TO ACTUALLY LOOK THROUGH THE BOARDS, LETS COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT FINDING ENOUGH 20 PAGE SPAM THREADS IN THE NEW POSTS SECTION

if this really is an issue for you then encourage LG to take the 5 minutes required to install a selective New Posts filter (http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=132279) so you can just block out boards you aren't interested in. of course seeing as how you and jimmeh have been so antagonistic against forum modifications in the past I really don't see that happening.

@Fluer oh ma bad I made it sound like..........I'm angry at non FF news..........I'm not and I don't read it anyway..........

but I don't like it being on the home screen as latest announcements............thats what I meant.......as it covers up more important news........

Well, you and me don't agree on most things, but I think this post is making sense. I think the simplest solution is that if it bothers you that much, don't read them. Just ignore it.

it's an opinion/suggestion in the designated forum. It's not a major issue, just a thought. Bleeding hell

whether it gets taken on board, well, whatever

Alright folks, calm it down a bit. I'm not one to talk since I hardly read the news section, no offense, but I've talked with Kelly on this and all things considered we can mostly post whatever news anyone submits.

We've had an approval section before, but I believe (if I'm not mistaken) it didn't work as intended and it was done away with.

Adamant, I'm sure she reads the threads just like anyone else, so cool it on the temper. By merely suggesting a few things, it doesn't hurt anyone. it might have been blunt, yes, but we as mods/gmods/admins won't ignore your suggestion. Though I will say this, the news section will not change unless of course a new resolution comes into play, some of the threads are seen as post count uppage, but in my opinion as long as they are read by anyone else on the forums, they are still valid news. (this is my personal belief) So most likely, nothing will be changed, but we will bring it up amongst the staffers. I'm closing this thread, as it seems to have become spammy and out of control, please do not see this as being rude, but all 3rd party inputs please go your separate ways.
