I just thought I would drop by and introduce myself...
I am sort of new to the FF games; I have played I-VI, a fair amount of X (at a friends house) and FFTA, since I do not own a Playstation:worried:. However, assuming that I make some money, that will change soon! My favorite Final Fantasy that I have played has to be III on the DS, simply because the characters were so adorable. (Yes, I know this is only showing my poor tastes). Anyways, I hope to enjoy my time here, as I slowly discover the later half of the FF world.

Welcome, but just so you know, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1 aren't the same thing. (The PS1 version is better.) ;)
 
Wow, a newbie with hardly any knowledge of FFVII. That's an rare sight. But it's awesome to see that you have knowledge of the retro, original FFs. Welcome to the Forums, and if you need any help on IX, X, Kingdom Hearts, and FFVII, let me know ;)

It is certainly in my plans to play the better FFs soon; I wouldn't feel like I was had lived my life to its fullest without having played some of those =)
From the looks of it, none of them are really hard or expensive to get, except for VII. (Amazon has all other FFs, or at least versions of them, in regular stock). Since I have no PS, would you recommend getting the PS2, or waiting until I can afford the PS3 (which would be about half a year... I am only in High School, and have no real job)?
Anyways, thanks for all the replies! I might just become fairly regular here, seeing as all my other frequented forums are dying.
At least I know that as I finally get around to playing these games, I'll fully appreciate the stories. I think they may have gone a bit over my head if I was to play them in elementary school. =)

And Final Fantasy Tactics(PS1) was the best final fantasy. EVAR.

FFVI is probably one of the best ones in the series in my opinion. You should play FFVII, VIII & IX, they are great games aswell.

Thanks again, and I absolutely have to agree with Kain on VI being one of the best. Although I am not comparing it to many of the later games, I cannot imagine a better 2D RPG than VI.
 
I hope this isn't page-necromancy or spam... but just so everybody knows, I changed my username from WatashiDesu (essentially "it's me" in Japanese) to Refia. I think I'll keep this one for a bit longer ;)

Don't worry I'm sure you'll have fun fun fun on the forums! A lot of the people here are very friendly. You'll make lots of friends real quickly.
 
nice one heyhey! all about final fantasy VII ...of course the others are awesome ou could probably buy a second hand playstation realy cheap to play some of the newer ones (newer than VI) you could have had my old one if i hadnt thrown it out lol
