National Football League (American)

I had to work during the Super Bowl but at least I got to watch the game. I didn't have a single customer during the whole game. I was overjoyed at watching the fourth quarter frenzy. Good thing I didn't have any customers because I probably looked like a doofus jumping around and yelling in joy everytime the Giants did something good. I'm glad the Pats threw away their perfect season.

Super Bowl Sunday should be a national holiday.

Cowboys are gonna win it all next season. COWBOYS FTW!
 
Cowboys? not with Romo the Homo. But i think you meant that the Colts are going to go all the way. I think it be pretty cool if it ended up being Giants vs. Colts next year cause then it be the battle of the Mannings xD But tbqh, i dont think the Giants are going to do very well next year jsut like the Patriots seeing as the Pats are going to lose Brischi, Harrison, and some other key players on defence and probably offense too.

Oh boy, there was a huge parade in NYC the other day celebrating the Giants victory. There were a lot people around here and at my school wearing Giants shirts.

Funny... Red Socks won one game and now NY Giants did. XD
 
Ya but i dont see the giants doing it again. Yes they have a pretty good team, but i think some of it was luck. Think about the season they had. Ended up being a wildcard team and beating all the top teams. Its pretty amazing, i just dont see it happening again.

Everyone i talked to were saying oh Patriots are going to win no problem, this is going to be a breeze. But you see thats why they play the game. Because upsets like these can happen :P
 
Anyone watch the Pro Bowl this afternoon? I only saw a bit of the 3rd quarter with the NFC up ahead 28-27. Was it any good, or was it just...dumb or something?

Either way, minus a couple Chargers, it wasn't worth it for me to watch. Heh. :P
 
I didnt bother watching it either cause i was looking forward to seeing Farve play xD. I was going to watch it tbqh but then on Sunday i looked at the clock and it was past 6 so i was like meh oh well. Turns out NFC won i think.
 
My favorite team would have to be the New York Giants! I liked them even before they were even gonna get a chance to go to the superbowl, but they did and they won. (Sorry to any Patriots fans but Tom Brady sucks)
 
The Pro Bowl is a joke. Player after player is removed from the initial rosters until you basically have a third-string pro bowl.
 
Because of what? Injuries. :P
AFC only lost 'cause half the Chargers on the initial roster were injured. It's twoo. :monster:
 
In any case, it's good to see the NFC finally win one.

But again...it's not like we're actually seeing a game played by the best in the league. Most are either too injured to play, or don't care enough about an exhibition game to risk injuring themselves further.
 
I know ill be hated but ive been for the Pats since the 8th grade and i fell in love with them. btw TOM BRADY DOESNT SUCK OR HE WOULDNT HAVE WENT 18-1 (and i didnt jump on the band wagon either
 
He picked an excellent time to play his worst game of the season, though.

I don't think Brady sucks. No quarterback could have produced enough to win that game against the Giants' front four.
 
I'm a Falcons fan :) Yeah we didn't do that well last season, but we have so many day one draft picks I'm sure we'll improve. I reckon it'll be another 2-3 years before we are serious playoff contenders, but now the whole Vick and Petrino incidents are behind us, we can rebuild under Dimintrinoff.
 
Speaking of the Falcolns, did anyone here about DeAngelo Hall getting traded? I heard a rumor of it just the other day, not sure if it went through or not, but I was thinking he was going out West...

Yeah he's gone to the Raiders for a 2nd + 5th round pick.

I reckon talent wise, he is easily worth a 1st round, but he really did the Falcons no favors when he made it clear he would not be returning to Atlanta. It just let everyone else know that Atlanta had to get rid of him.

And the organization really had to get rid of him. His being on bad terms with the franchise wouldn't have done anyone any good. So while it is perhaps not good value for Atlanta, it was still a good move.

He is one heck of a player though, and I would not want to be a QB facing the Raiders CB duo.
 
I love my GIANTS. I been a fan as long as eli has been a giants. so i'm no bandwagon guy. I love my team and my city.
 
Don't care much for the Giants, personally. Comes with being an Eagles fan. Gotta despise the competition within the division. lololol

Sorta bummed by the draft. The Eagles traded outta the first round yet again. Got a decent WR from Cal, I think. They need themselves some solid WRs for McNabb to throw to.

I liekd your Trevor Laws pick. I reckon he'll be good. As for DeSean Jackson...I don't think he's anywhere near as good as most people think, but you picking him in the mid-late second was probably about right. I reckon he'll turn out to be a Chris Henry sort a receiver (without all the issues), but no way I think he turns into a reliable #1.

BTW I think you have 2 1st rounders next year (thanks to trades this year) which will be excellent for you, considering next year's draft class looks quite good.
 
Dammit, I missed most of the freaking draft again. I don't even know the Top 5 (except for the #1 pick to the Dolphins).

Including the Chargers draft picks. Didn't think they did too well in picking up offensive linemen to be honest. >.>
And another corner to boot.
I liked the Jacob Hester pick though.

LOL! That's hilarious, I was saying that just after the Giants got into the Playoffs! Though I became less & less sure of the jokingness of the statement as things moved along...>_>
