Well, despite the fact SD lost, it was still a good game. In the very least they proved that they had a right to play New England and that they were a legit team.
 
Good. I would have liked to see the Patriots run the score up, but a win is a win.

Now the Patriots can go ahead and lose to Green Bay in the Super Bowl. If the Giants win, then I'd prefer the Patriots go all the way.

Well, the Eagles are my team...but they obviously aren't worth mentioning at this point. haha

Of the teams that were remaining earlier today, I was rooting for the Packers.

This Super Bowl sucks. I don't want either team to win. :monster:

lol i thought that maybe since SD made 3 interceptions they might do something with it but i guess they would rather jsut kick field goals the whole game. So many chances but they phailed.

And the Giants won wow... I was rooting for them but i would rather see the packers vs. Patriots.... And the Giants missed a 30 yard field goal (by amile) with like 8 seconds left and i was like oh shit and then Farve makes a nice little pass to the giants and gives the interception to them and giants kicks the winning field goal from 40 :D im happy :)

Wow...tough. When I think about the joy we'd see on the faces of Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning if they won the Super Bowl, I end up wanting to see the Patriots destroy them.

When I look a few years back and remember when the Patriots defeated the Eagles in the Super Bowl, I want to see their "perfect season" go to hell with an epic defeat against the Giants. I wouldn't mind seeing that smug Tom Brady go home with a defeat in the Super Bowl...

It's a hard call. I won't be happy regardless of the outcome.
 
Great, a Super Bowl with my two least favorite QB's in the game. I was rooting for a Chargers - Packers match-up, but now I'm rooting for only the WR"s in this game. If the Patriots win I'll be happy for Randy Moss; if the Giants win I'll be happy for Plaxico Burress. I hate everyone else on both teams. Especially Bilichick.
 
well my pick is gonan be th egiants. i feel they can beat the patriots. they have a mroe solid defence than teh packers. and being as the two teams played in the last game of the season. i feel the giants know what they need to do to finally knock off this team.. i am not a ptriots fn at all. never was..
 
What a shock!

It was pretty staid for the first three quarters but went nuts in the last quarter (a bit like New England v Carolina a few years back). That bit where Eli Manning managed to avoid being sacked and than made the long pass to Tyree was fantastic.

Well done to the Giants, they held New England to 14 points and having won three road games to get there, they deserve a lot of credit. I love seeing a good upset too.
 
Eli escaped twice in that last quarter.

I usually don't care about football but...

Hurray! Giants won! There was a parade in NYC today celebrating the Giants victory. :elmo:
 
My faves are for AFC: Jacksonville Jaguars. Yeah they have had a few rough seasons, but they are a hometown team for me.

And for NFC, the team I grew up on because a bunch of my mom's family is from Wisconsin... you guessed it, Green Bay Packers!

the patriots going undefeated in the regular season and losing in the superbowl is equivalant to the maimi dolphins 1-15 season..

they did it all for nothing.. teh 16-0 seaosn means nothing that they lost teh superbowl.
 
ahh... it dont mean nothing. They still ended up 18-1 and had the best record this year.

Whoever held that 18-1 sign up is my hero <3
