Palom & Porom
Newbie
I remember playing the game for the first time. The Ancients fascinated me and the way they kept going on about Sephiroth, Jenova and Aerith being Cetra created a real mystery to all three of them. So I spent the whole game up to the Temple of the Ancients where Sephiroth and Aerith finally share screen time..... .....and not a word is spoken between the Last Ancient and the only other sharing her blood (even though it proved not to be the case). It was utterly anticlimactic and actually diminished the rest of the game.
"I am one of the rightful Heirs of this Planet!"
"The Ancients... Sephiroth, Jenova and myself..."
It would have been great to see some kind of meaningful interaction or plot point, beyond:
"Sephiroth is not a Cetra."
"I am far superior to the Ancients."
It just seemed to come out of nowhere and was so dissapointing.
Are there any scenes you'd consider anticlimactic?

but I know it had to happen so Cloud could regain consciousness, so thank goodness it did happen.

Zack and Aerith are said to be puppy love from the past. And the creator said Cloud has an undying feeling for Aerith and that she's engraved in his heart for eternity and that her consciousness lives on inside of him and not to mention, Aerith has said that she undoubtedly loves Cloud much more than she ever loved Zack. So it wasn't an illusion you had. You have every reason to believe Cloud/Aerith are in love.
Although, taking everything from Cloud and retconing it to Zack is pretty annoying I must say.
