More Supporting Roles?

So, did anyone else feel just a bit empty that we didn't get to see more fights along-side the other characters? Such as; Tifa, Red, Barrett, Cid, etc...?

Do you not think they could've had more of a role and more battle scene's as a group? Like the game was? I loveddd the battle with Bahamut, but it left me wanting more group fights...

I would have liked that, but the thing is that they probably wouldn't have been able to fit all of that into the movie. Before anything else, the plot is what needs the most work (especially in comparison to the game).

I actually thought the plot was done quite nicely. It kept me interested. I just would've liked to have seen more fighting and more group battles.

I mean...it would've made that move sooo much better, IMO.
 
It didn't really bother me, although it would have been pretty nifty to have the others more involved in fighting, the fight with Yazzo and Tifa was pretty good though. I suppose if they had all been involved in the fighting more that's all the film would have been
 
I don't think so. I was just meaning include the others in somehow. Cid, Yuffie, Red, Cait, and Barrett only got one fighting scene while Tifa, Vincent, and Cloud had more than 1. >_<;;

I just wanted to see more of the other characters.
 
I think it would have been amazing for there to have been more group fights, what i mainly wanted to See Red XIII in action as he was an amazing character and his fighting style would have been cool in the better graphics, also i would have liked to see some of the elemental materia get used (Fire bolt ice ECT)
 
They made Red XIII seem so useless when he fought. lol. And Cait...let's not get started on that useless furball. >_<;;
 
Yeah I would've definitely preferred more group-fights scene, but I think the way they did it was just fine. They probably didn't want to overdo it, although I think that the fighting scenes with Cloud alone was definitely overdone. >.> Nevertheless, one big group fight was just fine for me because now when I think of all the characters reunited in the movie, I only think of that one epic battle with Bahamut and that alone. Think of it as some sort of one big memorable battle, and nothing else competes with that because it's the only one.

You do have a point. I mean...when they all appeared it was like "Omg! Yuffie" then like 2 seconds later..."VINCENT and CID!!"

It was a tear jerker moment, it was. T_T! Seeing them all together to fight once again.

And the Ally-oop....OMG. It was epic.

But, yeah, I see what you're saying...I just loved that battle so much, I wanted to see more.

I wish that there had been more fights with the whole group I think the Bahamut fight was one of the best. I enjoyed accuarly seeing some of the other characters fighting who you didn't really see much in the rest of the film (Cid, Yuffie, Barret, Red, Cait - even though he didn't do anything hardly and Vincent) Tifa got her own fight so..
 
I was let down by Red XIII's role. They should have had him talking and fighting more!
 
I too wish we got to see more of Red XIII. I also wish we got to see more of Cait Sith. Sure he's little, but it would have been cool to see him use materia. Maybe they could have even had Reeve in there.

I also think that Barret needed a bigger role. I mean, he only lived with Cloud and Tifa, Denzel and Marlene. I think it was a bit of a cop out to say he was off finding oil.

And there could have been some funny moments between him and Cloud in the begining.
 
I would have like to see more team battles in advent children and so would a lot of people but they did come up with a good movie already.

But hey a little more team battles would ahve been great.
