So, in FFX, the Monster Arena becomes available near the end of the game, at the Calm Lands. The old man will let you fight monsters, after you've captured 10 different monster species for him in the Calm Lands using beast taming weapons.
And after that, you can travel the world to capture more to expand the collection. Bosses and Superbosses appear as you capture more monsters.
Now, on to the actual subject.
What is your overall feel on the Monster Arena? Did it make the game TOO easy after you've acquired a ton of monsters and farming them for every item they drop.
Or was it just another fun factor for the game, because it was for me. It made the game more dynamic. Fighting Shinryu underwater was fun, and the other bosses as well provided a challenge and rewards I could have only thought of getting at first.
I used the monster arena as a grinding area to overpower my characters, even then, some bosses still wiped out my party.
If anyone's ever got to the point of facing Nemesis, share.
