Metallica

Hmm I do not like Metalica all that much. One of my friends loves Metalica. Hmmm I do not know I just do not like the music.

They have some good songs. I'm not all into the loud heavy music, but there recent album Death Magnetic was very good. I recall listening to it from you Vampire, and also from another friend and some of the songs i got really into :gasp:. So there not a bad band, just not one of my favourites.

I used to love Metallica but I'm not that interested in them nowadays, though I still throw on a few of thier tracks from time to time. I would love to see them live. My favourite album was easily 'Master of Puppets' probably followed by the Black album. I was pretty disapointed by 'Death Magnetic', Nothing on there really stood out to me.

Some of my favourite songs by them are; Master of Puppets, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Battery, One, Sad But True, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Nothing Else Matters, I Disappear, Until it Sleeps, The Unforgiven, St Anger, Enter Sandman and (Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth.

Yeah, Death Magnetic wasn't as great as I'd hoped. But "All Nightmare Long" was pretty good. And I would kill to see Metallica live. I can play almost all of their music on my piano/keyboard. Their best album was Master of Puppets, followed closely by The Black Album.

Metallica are okay. I love Enter Sandman, Fade to Black, Nothing Else Matters and their cover of Whiskey in the Jar.

I love Metallica!

Their latest album wasn't the greatest but I'm satisfied with their older music anyways. :P

My favourite songs would definitely have to be:

Album: Ride The Lightning

* Fade To Black

Album: Master Of Puppets

* Master Of Puppets

Album: ...And Justice For All

* One

Album: Metallica

* Enter Sandman
* Sad But True
* The Unforgiven
* Wherever I May Roam
* Through The Never
* Nothing Else Matters

Album: ReLoad

* Fuel
* The Memory Remains
* The Unforgiven II

Album: St. Anger

* St. Anger

Album: Death Magnetic

* The Day That Never Comes
* All Nightmare Long
* The Unforgiven III

I love early Metallica, especially when 'ol Cliff was about. Think they went completely downhill (material-wise) after his death. 'Justice for All' was good (but heavily flawed) but 'Black Album' onwards is rather.....well meh. Though I don't hold 'Death Magnetic' in as much high esteem as most, I do think it is definitly a step in the right direction and I do like listening to it. It's like what 'St. Table Coaster' SHOULD have been like if they didn't have so much in-band dramaz, a obession with being 'hip' and a fucking faggot of a producer. Bob Cock surely has made Mr. Burton turn in his grave.

However I am happy to say I will be seeing Metallica on the 28th of March at the O2 Arena in London, England. BRING IT ON!!! :D

:dry:I am jealous of you Moonchild. I would have to kill several people to see Metallica even once in my life. And yeah, Death Magnetic was a step in the right direction, but there's still some after-taste from St. Anger (Drums. C'mon, Lars.) If you're going, send me pics or something. :P I wanna see what it's like.

I dare say some pics of the event may surface here, though im useless with digicams at gigs.

Before that though, im seeing Testament, Megadeth and Judas Priest next Friday in Cardiff. Get the fuck in! :D

Whoa a Metallica thread. Well they are definately my favorite band next to Dream Theater. Hmm my favorite song by them would have to Be One, Followed by Master of Puppets and All within my Hands. I liked all thier albums except Load and Reload, honestly I would take St.Anger over them anyday. My favorite album would have to be ...And Justive for All, I loved the subject matter. It felt more intense than any of the other albums. Death Magnetic was good, An improvement over St.Anger and definately Load and relaod, it wasnt thier greatest but definately good.

I LOVE METALLICA their an awesome band.My fav songs are Nothing Else Matters, No Leaf Clover, Enter Sandman, and Sad but True.
