in the final fantasy film i noticed a problem with the materia. when kadaj equips the materia he equips a greeny-blue materia which by the game scenario would mean a general magic materia. however he first uses the materia to cast "manipulate" which is command materia = Yellow materia. Then summons bahumat = red materia then casts fire = which fits as its normal magic materia, then he uses "matra magic" which is e. skill materia which is again yellow materia. all through the film however he only equips that one green materia. whats with that?

It might have been a master All materia similar to the master command/summon/magic materia's you get during the game just fused into one

I really don't think they considered this, just face it, the developers made a mistake. It really doesn't matter, all the audience is meant to think is "ok, now he has Materia equipped so he can do cool shit now".

If you really want an explanation so badly, just assume we didn't see him equip the other Materia.

Either
a) it's a master materia
b) its A FILM
c) the shots of him equipping the others are not shown
use the one you like best :)

I'm going with, it's a film get over it, I hate when people scrutinize things that much. Obvious flaws sure, nit pick. Like when I was watching a film the other night and the dude not only was covered in blood had a big rip in his sleeve. 5 seconds later, he was in a perfect dry cleaned and fixed suit

Make yourself feel better and just assume he had already equipped these other materia either before, or after depending on when he used them. You don't see him take a shit do you? But yet you assume people would do this

neh, they were bound to make mistakes. Half of the people who made the movie prolly didn't even play the game, just read a summary of what happened in it

Yea it's a film they made mistakes or they did not even consider that someone (like you) might focus on such minor thing.

lol, it's only a movie, but still, I can't help noticing little things like that aswell, with any movie or game.

So if we are splitting hairs and nit-picking, we could always point out this:

The Forgotten City in AC, when Cloud is leaving with Marlene, he says to Vincent "I'll phone in the verdict" when a few moments prior, Marlene and Vincent establish the fact that Vincent does not have a phone, therefore, Cloud would not be able to phone in any verdict.

........Yeah, *ahem*

Cue tumbleweed.

another thing is cloud doesnt have a phone anymore either established a few moments earlier that his is gone. we also see it float down in the water. with the touching ghostly message from aeris/ith, i thought he was just being sarcastic or tempting vincent who turns up minutes later asking tifa where he can buy a phone :P

I wondered the first thing when I watched the movie. Then I came to the conclusion that I no longer care because the movie was awesome. I just went with the assumption that they only showed him equipping on materia, but had multiple equipped.
