Suddenly gained interest in this game as I found out there is a Wolf character ( Okami Amaterasu ) going to be in it. :P

Anyways, who is going to be getting this game? It'll be coming out for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in Spring of 2011, and though I haven't played the other two Marvel vs Capcom games, I'll be getting this one, since it looks good.

And tbh I am still hoping Jon Talbain will end up being playable via downloadable content. <.< Feel free to discuss anything about the game here, just thought I'd make this thread. :dave:
 
You haven't played any of the MvC? Go on PSN/XBL and download MvC2 NAO!

With that said, I plan to buy this when it comes out. I am fan of the Capcom Vs series and I see a good amount of characters I am interested in, although I wish there could be more, but yes it will be a day one purchase for me.

Although I am pretty sure I saw a thread on this game before.
 
Funny, I never saw one... If there is one for this already, I apologize. Hm, but does MvC2 have any Wolf or at least Wolf-like character in it?

A fighting game with a bunch of completely human characters...of one colour or another (Incredible Hulk = Green. xP), suited in one typical superhero costume or another with supernatural powers alone is a tad too borish for me.

Oh, and is MvC2 available on the PlayStation Store for the PSP or the PS3? I wouldn't be getting it for the PS3 whether I wanted to or not, that is why I ask.
 
Nope I don't remember any wolf characters in MvC2. MvC3 will be the first game with a character like that. I am curious to see what her gameplay style will be considering she's a wolf and not an actual humanoid. Also it's for the PS3
 
Darn, won't be downloading that then. >.> I'll be getting some money to spend on the PlayStation Store on my PSP on Christmas, not PS3. =P

I only played MvC2 for the PS1 (and loved it so much) and I've been wanting to try out some more fighting games. Better keep this game in the back of my mind then ^^
 
Theres 2 other threads about the same game and subject. And one of the other threads is made by me,hopefully a nice mod will come and merge the 3 together.

Theres been excitement of this game recently, it wants the fans to expect their favorite characters, some are unexpected like Modok from iron man,wtf lol I kinda laughed when I saw him in the gameplay, I know him in the old cartoon, but why him as the iron man villain,woudlnt someone like crimson dynamo or titanium man be better? Modok was definately not expected, maybe marvel and capcom want to give us a kind of reaction that we need to know why modok needs to be in the game. Its how he play differently then the other characters,hes small and has projectiles,now hes going to be broken. Magneto was expected, even spider man. Dormammu looks pretty broken too, and also the antagonist of resident evil,albert wesker,will be in the game,hes pretty awesome. Arthur from capcom is so lol but wtf at the same time. I like that thor is in the game cant wait to try him out. Theres Amateratsu who fights awkwardly like modo, but I kinda like characters like her, I like fictional wolves and she looks fun to play >_>

Everyone will have a story, even a story when a marvel character can face a capcom character,if i remember, m.bison and magneto were rivals,maybe this game is about them concluding their rivalry.

I might get mad like all fighting games when I play this online,but I willl still get it,I was always better in mvc then other fighting games, but theres a mode online to practice,also the director promises balance and I hope hes right.

If Jon Talbain is available as a downloadable character, I can tell you my team of three will probably primarily be Jon Talbain, Okami Amaterasu, and Dante. :monster:

its not your fault man, you made this thread for a reason,the fact that the other 2 threads are dead,it will encourage all mvc fans to come and post here if they will,such as me,but therefore hopefully its merged im scared to pm a mod.

I was reading your previous post,you like wolf characters like me,I respect you my friend. For my team,it would be iron man,thor,and m.bison(not confirmed but no doubt he will be in the game), my colossus is still missing and unconfirmed yet, but if bison is thrash like he was in mvc2 then I will replace him with Amaterasu maybe, hopefully that wont happen cuz I admire m.bison since i was a kid. If colossus is in im replacing thor,iron man i just cant take him out,hes been my guy for mvc2,but maybe i can replace him if spider man is better.I will just probably have more then 1 team lol

Ah the fated day is almost here. February 15th I can't wait. Anyone here still interested in this game? I've already preordered my copy but sadly they ran out of CE so I am sticking to the original. Capcom really wasn't joking when they said called it a Limited Edition >.>
 
I wish I could say I had much interest in it, but the vs serious has never really been one that peeked my interest. Although to be honest I am a little more intrigued as of late and I may rent it and try it out. I can not stand all the bitching about Sentinel being OP when the game isn't even out yet.

Side note: If Phoniex Wright is ever available via DLC I will buy the game.

I am definitely still looking forward to getting this game, although I was going to get it in late April, I got an idea, and now want to get Okami then instead, then I can enjoy playing that and fully understanding the character, getting to know and love it even more, before using her (Amaterasu) in this MvC3 game, so I won't be getting it until August 26th, my 22nd birthday, I'm afraid...

But all in all I do not regret this decision, Amaterasu is awesome. :ryan:
 
I doubt the same top tier characters will be top tier again. Usually characters who are top tier receive nerfs in the next game so I'd be real surprised if M/S/S stay in the top tier spot again in this game.

So it has now been out for the number of days after the release date that you were cheering for, yet what I am dying to play now is Okami...oh how I wish that Easter would get here...

So is it final that there will only be two DLC characters for the game, that there will never be another one or two added for download? *sigh* Ah well, I must take what I can get, and I will get it on the 26th of August...hmph.
 
Kinda still waiting for the DLC content till I get this to be honest. I hope Ingrid makes it in as she is like my favorite street fighter character. 10 Dlc characters to be announced. 5 Marvel and 5 capcom. I believe voting already started officially.
 
I'm hoping they bring in Vergil from DMC, I know they have 2 already but tbh, Vergil>Trish :jtc: besides, i'd take Yamato over Sparda anyday.

On a related note, who's planning to get it? Imma picking it up in the afternoon :monster: Hopefully i'll grab one with Jill in it :ryan:

Where did you hear that? I didn't ever notice any announcement of how many DLC characters the game will have, and 10 seems like quite an extreme number...I mean, you have to download a good chunk of half of the true total of playable characters to be able to use all of them? That sucks, they better not cost very much then. :/

And official voting already started? Haven't they already decided what DLC characters it will have already? The friggin' game has been released now...
 
I may get it this week.

Seeing as my mom's tax came back and she offered to buy me w/e as long as it's not over 100 dollars. (Individually)
