Hey there guys!

Before i get starting let me state this:

Square-Enix has finally done it ... again.
He made PASSIONATE with a single game, so passionate that i'm going to buy a PSP when i have the money to afford it only to play Dissidia and Crisis Core.
I'm super Jealus to all of you Asian/Japanese people out there that you 're playing this right now :P

Anyway this thread is like who would you like to hear in English Dissidia?

I for once will go for Mark Hammil as Kefka!
Man, i just saw a Youtube video outhere where a guy has posted his favorite actors for each character in Dissidia along with some voices from their movies!

If i hear Joker's voice as Kefka..man i'm going to s*** my pants :P

Other than that i would love (and obviously will) to see Sephiroth's and Cloud's voices from the English version of AC, Squall offcourse from that cool guy in Kingdom Hearts and the original Voice actors from FFX for Jecht and Tidus!

Post your ideas let me see what you think!

It'd be cool, so long as he doesn't use his exact Joker voice. That voice is iconic, and cannot be used for any other character :P

Though, I'd rather have a Joker-clone voice for Kekfa than what's in the Japanese version. His voice sounds overly hyper, and gets a little annoying.

Perhaps Scott McNeil for Zidane? Kirby Morrow for Firion?

I 'll second that thought for Joker :P
Those two characters have similarities though apart from the face-painting :P
And i have to admit that the Japanese voice-actor was a bit to...i don't know should i call it fake?

Who's ScottMcNeil again? -_- That little kid that has played in 6th sense with Bruce Willis?

The man running around in Kefka cosplay in the few random Final Fantasy VI cosplay videos that I have seen on the internet has done the only "perfect" Kefka vocie I can imagine. Unless Heath Ledger could do it in his Dark Knight Joker voice.

Agreed Youtube Kefka IS Kefka to me. His voice would be perfect. If they hired him I'd be very happy. Though Joker voice would rock too.

So long as they don't do squealy-kefka like in the Japanese version I'll be fine.

Unless Heath Ledger could do it in his Dark Knight Joker voice.
Heath Ledger is dead.
So he's out of the question. He'd be a bit too dark for Kefka anyway.

You got any link for it? That would be cool ^_^

Search youtube for "lolfilmworks". That's his profile/channel/whatever and you'll be able to see most of, if not everything, that he has done.

You damn right son :P

I'm really interested though to see who is going to make the voice-acting for Golbez and ExDeath though...
Man ExDeath (god i hate his name is like ExGf of some sort ) should have a really deep deep voice.
Something like a Son Connery meets Darth Vader :wacky:

Yeah I'm interested to hear what Ex-Death would sound like... I can't remember what voices I had in my mind while playing the games. But I guess a deep muffled voice would do the trick..
Sean Connery in armour would sound ace, I guess, lol. :P

As for Golbez, they could probably use the voiceover from the DS remake of FF4, though I haven't played the remake and am not sure if that game even had voice overs coming to think of it. But if it did, then they could use that.

Now that i think about it, it'll be interesting to see how they all sound. Though, i must admit, when i watched the Ending FMV of Dissdia online, i thought Zidane sounded like a girl (In the Japanese Version, at least).

Hopefully there'll be no more guys that sound like girls... Tsk tsk.

I dunno, the Japanese voice acting for these two is freaking awesome! I know it wont happen, but I'd be happy if they just used their voices and subtitled it. Golbez is just so... intimidating, granted he's as big as a bear and can cast doom magicks at you, so that could be helping. But his voice is perfect. I was thinking while listening to him that they'll prolly ruin his english voice by making him sound like he's talking into a bucket. ExDeath sounds cool too, haven't heard him talk as much as Golbez though.

But yeah, I'm a negative bastard! I always expect bad things about stuff so when something good actually happens its that much more fantastic! So sorry if I pulled the mood of the thread down.

YOUTUBE KEFKA. Love. Serious love right there :P

To the person who asked... Scott McNeil is a pretty famous voice actor, and he plays roles ranging from energetic teenagers (Duo Maxwell - Gundam Wing), to stoic badasses (Jajuka from Escaflowne, Piccolo from DBZ, Wolverine), to even little kid characters. He's got a pretty large range, and a large voice acting background. I just thought I'd throw his name out there, since he pretty versatile. He's going to be involved with the new Resident Evil 5.

I also threw in Kirby Morrow, 'cuz his voice is damn sexy :P He's been Trowa from Gundam Wing, Goku in DBZ, Cyclops in XMen, Van from Escaflowne and Miroku from Inu-Yasha.

That was me !! *arms high*

Ooh yeah, i figured out who Scott McNeil is :P
He would be really awesome to voice-cast one of the Pre-VI characters!
Or the guy who voice acts Vegeta on DBZ would be a kick ass Firion - Warrior of Light aright...

Any character that already has an established voice actor should continue to be voiced by that actor, as I hate when a character gets a different actor. As for new ones, I would love to see Mark Hammil Kefka, and David Bowie as Emperor Mateus.

Wow Bowie!
Great suggestion there. I don't know much about Mateus himself as I haven't completed FF2 yet, but he's a very quirky looking villain, and likes to wear make-up. Not unlike Bowie. :P Bowies voice could be interesting in that.

ZOMG! How i didn't think of him!
He will do an excellent Emperor of Palamecia for sure :se7:

I don't know though if Square Enix could afford the talent of David Bowie.,..but in the other hand: We are talking about SE here who made a franchise with Disney and all it's original voice actor so if they want it...they can't do it! :monster:

My sentiments exactly, Mateus looks like the bad guy from Labyrinth in gold armor. I figure if they both have a thing for eyeliner they were meant for each other.:P

In all seriousness though, here's a video of the Emperor in Dissidia with David Bowie's voice being dubbed over it. It sounds perfect in my opinion.

Ur right, it really does fit. So both appearance AND voice fit Emperor Mateus. Please hire Bowie Square-Enix! I'm sure he'd enjoy doing it.

True. Well I think it would depend if Bowie was aware, and enjoyed Square-Enix's works. If he does, then I'm pretty sure it would be something he'll enjoy. He seems to do fantasy villain voice overs in quite a few things recently. I think Square-Enix would have the money. I just don't know if they'd be able to get the attention of Bowie.
