This to all of you ladies (and guys. . .who may be a rocker dude or something [Adam Lambert ftw]. I have respect for you~ ) . I noticed all girls seem to do their makeup in different kids of ways. Some don't wear any at all and you can tell they're born a natural beauty. The kind I do is what is known today as winged eyeliner (example 1 , example 2 , example 3) maybe some colorful eyeshadow (I especially like to blend colors or use metallic cream colors.), and a liiiitle bit of lipgloss (but only the bottom lip. For some reason my top lip looks weird with gloss on it.). And I usually use Maybelline or Loreal brand cosmetics. Girls at school are always telling me how they love how my makeup looks and some occasionally ask how I do it or want me to do it for them. I'm also often told I look Asian with the way my eyes are done. So what kind of makeup do you apply, or do you wear it at all ? If you want, you can even share tips on tricky-to-do styles (ie: smokey eyes, non-irritant skin creams, etc.)

And there are a few things guys can answer (so they won't feel totally out of place in this thread.). How do you normally feel about how girls look with makeup on ? Do you think some girls absolutely need it or would you prefer girls that go natural and don't need to worry about how their face looks with or without it ?

I personally, don't Use makeup at all.yeah, you heard that right..If I have to use something, like for a party I only would use some lip-gloss and make my hair in some way. That's about it,I don't do anything for my eyes.I may use for example,at some point a certain lotion or how's that cold to cover some small spots, but that's all.

I consider makeup not that great, and I've seen many girls which make an overdose from it,and put ON to much.Makes them-Ugly.I,as a girl, don't like that view..maybe there are some guys which they like it,but I doubt it in like..80% that They don't.

I rarely wear any make up. I just hate the way it feels on my skin and that I have to wash it off when I come home.

The most annoying thing is coming home and not being able to just flop down on the lounge straight away because I may get make up on it. >.<

I'm terrible with make up. I have no idea how to apply it, so I just do the simple stuff when I do wear it.

I always wear black eyeliner. There isn't a day that I don't put that on. It's easy and I look tired and weird if I don't have it on in my opinion.

Sometimes, if I'm in the mood I may put on some mineral powder foundation and that's about it. I used to put eyeshadow on too, but that just became too much effort.

Steve doesn't really like make up either so I guess it works out that I don't really like it all that much. XD

I do wish I knew how to do make up like some girls though for special occassions. Some girls just seem to have a knack for knowing how to apply make up so well.

There have been multiple times since middle school where I sometimes don't feel the need to wear makeup to school everyday. Though back when I was younger, I used to put on more than needed. Because I used to be "e___-" as I would put on pounds of eyeliner (see Boxxy for example.). Then I would just use mascara and be happy for the rest of the day. Nowadays I can use a lot of makeup tools but use very thin amounts of it, so it'll still be easier to take off when I get home .

I don't wear make up at least, barely. I hate lipsticks, I hate foundations, I hate lotions, and my skin seems fine without it.

Only thing I wear everyday is Eye liner, on the waterline, and above the lashes, but not with a wing. I'd rub my eyes and fuck it all up, I don't have the patience to put it on like that either. It's mostly standard black, but I've had times where I've used a bright green, or dark blue that stood out for the waterline. That's really it.

My eyelashes are naturally thick, black and long, so... No need for mascara either.

I also don't think anyone is to judge whether you need make up or not. It'd be pointless, and you're not wearing a face for someone else.

I forgot to specify before but I only put my eyeliner on the waterline too and that's it. I don't do the wing either.

There is this girl at work who does the wings and to be honest, she isn't very good at it even though she puts it on every day. I've seen some really good wings on people's eyes but hers are really off. =/

And yeah if I did have that much make up on my eyes I'd probably rub it off too. XD But only because I'm used to not having anything too much on my eyes. If I did it all the time I probably would be more careful.

Yah same with me. I'm blessed in that area. Would love to be blessed in others! :gasp:

My sister is really good with make up. Might ask her for some help one day when we're not fighting. XD

I don't wear nearly as much makeup anymore compared to when I was in high school. High school I wore a tone of it, but most girls in my high school did so it wasn't really too big of a deal. I even wore it at home even if I knew I wasn't going out it was crazy.

Now I only put a little on. Usually it's eye shadow and eye liner. Sometimes I'll go as far as mascara but rarely

OH I WOULD LOVE TO LEARN HOW TO DO THAT. :rage:

My makeup depends on where I'm going. If I'm just going to the mall to buy something, I just use a foundation stick under my eyes and that's all. If I'm going to uni, I use the foundation stick for my whole face and apply eyeliner to just my eyelids. Sometimes I'll add blush, but only if it's not too hot. If I'm going to an event, I don't do my own makeup for those because I have no idea how to apply eyeshadow. I'll ask my friends if they can help me do mine. They're fantastic at it.

I also love lipstick. I can't use them because I can't shake the habit of licking my lips every so often, so they never last. BUT I LOVE THEM. :rage:

I don't think there's anything wrong with putting on makeup. As long as you don't look far from what you look like without it. Because there are people who go too far with makeup. It's always said that 'less is more', and I think that's very true.

Same, if I'm off out I'l do that and follow it up with eye make up, I do like to go abit OTT on the eye make up.. on a regualar day, if I can be arsed, I won't bother with the eyeshadow but I'l do the liquid eyeliner half way across and ending where my eye ends. Liquid on top, pencil underneath. Always wear mascara. and Il just constantly be applying lip balm all day, like to keep the lips soft! Tend to go for bold colours ont he lips when off out, general day to day i go for glosses of paler colours

I never wear foundation unless Im off on a night out, I can't be arsed, I dont have the most amazing skin in the world, but I don't feel like i need to cover up with foundation all day every day, that would just do my head in.

Im a slight make up snob as well... I spend an absolute fortune on the stuff. It pays to pay more and get the good stuff though.

I'll put on some eyeliner and some eyeshadow because I like having purple above my eyes :) But I usually do not put a lot of make up on. The only time I do is if I am getting my picture taken. If I don't have foundation, the flash makes my skin look abnormally pale and I look extremely sickly.

And of course, if I'm going to a formal occasion I'll put more make up on.

I've never used foundation. Like, ever. I have a fear that it's going to make my skin break out or look worse in the long run. But one question about liquid eyeliner: How is it different than plain old eye pencil or regular liner? A couple of my friends use it, and one told me that it easier to apply, plus it won't smudge a lot. But I always thought it could smudge easily considering it's liquid.

I was actually surprised to see that a couple of girls on here don't know how to apply eyeshadow on. It's simpler than it sounds really. I would check out site like here or on here for help if you need it ~

There's only one time I've only made one exception for wearing makeup and that was for my prom. Had to admit I looked different, but I generally don't like it.

People seem to think I'm wearing it when I'm not at all. I can't see the fuss about putting it on. I tend to like people seeing me naturally. I don't like the thought of seemingly having to put it on to impress people or look good. Natural's the way for me.

I rarely wear makeup, and if I do its only mascara and lip-gloss and maybe sometimes if I feel like having to wash my face afterward - some blush on my cheeks.

But I hate wearing it so I almost never do, unless I think I'm going somewhere important or something XD

I'm not a big makeup person. My everyday routine is a moisturizer, a little concealer to freshen up my under eyes, powder for my T-zone, blush and some sort of lip gloss. I have an addiction for lip gloss though and now I can't live without having some on my lips at all times :/

When I go out I use eyeliner and mascara, and the occasional eyeshadow. I just hate the way my skin feels when I put all that crap on...and the eyeshadow falls into my contacts after awhile and then it feels like I have grit in my eyes so I don't do it too often...when I do I literally can't wait to run home and wash it off :/

One of my ex's commented once that I don't wear a lot of makeup and I was like "yeah...and???" I think he was used to being around women who wore it a lot and I wasn't going to change that for him. I believe in natural beauty and if you think you are pretty the way you are then there's no need to pile the makeup on unless you want to.

Honestly I swear I look like a boy unless I have at least my eye liner on, so my daily routine would be eyeliner and some eye shadow. Though I use dark colours mostly...randomly I use red eye shadow under my eyes because for some odd reason I think my eyes stand out more when it looks like ive cried and im rather fond of the look...althouhg i can deal without people asking me if "everythings alright"....
I never use foundation or face powder or blush since ive found threw trial, and many brands, it simply makes my skin break out so its not worth the damage
