Thing is, we don't know much about Zack and Aeris's relationship. But we do know that she dated him when she had that conversation with Cloud just before Tifa showed up in a hawt purple dress in that carriage.

I don't mean to burst any bubbles and I know this is a Cloti club, but it's really not nice to sit and dis on the Clerith fans. Despite what's canon and what's not, you're still going to have Clerith fans no matter what. So instead of saying harsh things about Clerith fans, how about you just focus on all of your 'Clotiness'
It's merely debating, not bashing. I wouldn't be surprised if some Clerith fans bashed Cloti.
You'll find it funny, but we don't bash Clotis in our club. Clotis just seem to really enjoy bashing Cleriths for some unknown reason, when all we like to do is merely discuss our enjoyment with our preferring choice of pairing. All I'm asking is to please not bash Cleriths because they don't do it to you. How can you debate anyway when Cleriths don't even post in here?

Crisis Core has shown us just how much Aerith loved Zack, and I have come to a good conclusion explaining why Aerith acts the way she does around Cloud in FF7. In the end of Crisis Core, Aerith senses that Zack has died and returned to the lifestream, just as she sensed that Elmyra's husband had died. She, for some reason finds that pretending that Zack left her for another girl is easier to except than the fact that he is dead, so she keeps up a false hope that he is alive, even though she knows he isn't. After his death though, she seems to be searching for someone else to filll the hole that he left behind. Then, in FF7, she meets Cloud the same way she met Zack, he was in SOLDIER like Zack, and he acts like Zack. If I were her, I would think he was heaven sent and that we were meant to be together, which I admit Aerith acts like. Then, she pushes herself onto Cloud for most of the first part of the game, despite never getting a response from him that that was what he wanted. But later she realizes that Cloud is not the person she wants him to be, and she realizes that her duty is to the planet, first and foremost. Not meaning to Clerith-bash here, but the tragic love story between Cloud and Aerith? I just don't see it. In the end, fate leads Aerith back to the person she wanted all along, and Cloud ends up with the person he had been pining after for most of his life
I'm glad Crisis Core is out now, because it explains so much! Just my thoughts on some things...

After Cloud dunks Denzil into the purified water at the church, and the little kiddies are playing around Cloud, the camera focuses on Tifa's face a few seconds, she does a "chu" motion and smiles, Cloud smiles, and then we see Aerith playing with the two kiddies.
I didn't really see it the first time either, 'cause I was more hyped that we finally see Aerith's face in full view ^^
I'm surprised other people didn't post pics though; there's plenty out there!
You're theory makes much sense, 'cause I saw that ending scene in Japanese, and Aerith definitely felt something. Poor girl...

I'm sorry to keep coming back. I'd actually like to join because I am starting to like CloudxTifa more after Aerith's death. I just want to make that clear. I think people are allowed to like both Clerith and Clifa...

You can safely say that we just get carried away in the moment when many Clifa's get together. I'm sure Clerith's do the same. And any other pairing you wish to think of, like Tuna for example.
It's really a shock for my system to say why I like and support the Clifa pairing and actually NOT get clusterfucked (pardon my french, but that IS the proper term) by Cleriths or others. Indeed, I agree I got carried away. We revel too much in our secret glee of finding proof, LA! Cuz, I gotta say, no matter what Clifa's say to Clerith's, it seems the Clerith's just ignore it. No doubt it goes the opposite way as well.
Anywho, our major bad LA. We're just squeeing and we got a little loud. All cool?
On the topic of Zack and Aerith, I think Zack was wrapped around Aerith's little finger if you ask me. Aerith... I dunno. Can't reall make a call on that one. But she doesn't seem to be the type to get in a relationship without it being meaningful to her on some level that takes it beyond mere 'friends'. But that could just be me.
Ah, now THIS makes much sense. I kept having a hard time seeing how Cloud and Aerith were on the bangin' level when there's a clear obstacle there....

TBQH, I didn't see the deep love between Zack and Aerith at all. Aerith isn't really the type to lead guys on either. It was more of a "first boyfriend/girlfriend, we're 16, let's have fun with teenage puppylove!" That's basically what I got from Zack and Aerith's relationship out of the whole game and I'm just past the Nibelheim scene, so yeah, the whole ZackxAerith thing is pretty much over in the game now. It was sweet, but there was no major blossoming romance there.
Hahahahaha yea xD that's pretty much my feelings on it. I think Cloud loves both girls and will always love both girls, but considering that there is that minor issue, Tifa's the way to go! Hmmm it's quite possible they've uploaded YouTube videos, but maybe not as well. Some people like to play through first and THEN upload cutscenes, so it's hard to say. The first time Zack and Sephiroth go to the Mako Reactor in Nibelheim, Tifa wants to go inside but Sephiroth won't let her. Instead, he tells Cloud (who's hiding behind a Shinra Infantryman mask) to protect her until they get back. Outside, they're attacked by, we will just say fiends because I don't wanna give that away . Cloud is hurt pretty bad and Tifa takes him in her arms and helps him up and helps him back down to the Inn in town. She still doesn't know it's Cloud. Also, she sends Zack a few texts asking about the "blond haired SOLDIER" and then sends another pleading for him not to tell anyone xD Also after that the 2nd time at the Reactor after Sephiroth goes insane and Tifa is hurt, Cloud goes to her, takes her in his arms and cups her face while she's all unconscious. It's SUPER sweet. Cuter than the scene in AC where he finds her unconscious in the flowers.
