OK well iv been using cs2 for a few weeks now, my free trial runs out in 9 days :( This isnt my first time making tags ive been using other graphics pakages for about the last 6months but now ive found photoshop theres no way i could ever go back.
So i thought id post a few up and see what you all think C+C is very welcome so please comment.:)

This is basically a colour version of the one i entered for SOTW, i kept it mostly the same except the background which i made simpler, and more to the style of the graphic. I do like this one and it only took like 10 mins.

This one i really like, its simple and thats basically the style i aim for, the background isnt as neat as id like it but i still think its ok.

Hmm i spelt bouer wrong haha it should be bauer. Im shamed cuz im a geek of this series. It could do with a lot of blending i kno. I wanted to try a more messy background but tbh i quite like it.

Im not sure about the size of this one. I really like the touch of gold i addded in the smoke, it makes the graphic more appealing.

I tried to make it look like he smashed the glass but it didnt work i dont think. Im not that fond of this one.

hmm this the new one i think the text is good and i like the background though i think the white blur around snake is tooo much.

So whaddya all think?????????
 
I like the Jill Valentine one, that's really cool! :D
It's all good, though. I think that they're all nice:)

It certainly stands out.
I swapped tabs in my browser and swithed back and it was just...there. Made me jump a 'lil bit :P
hahaha it does make an impact though.

Those are definitely your best ones. Didn't know you were also into GFX - you're really good at it. Yes your work can use some blending, but you know how to make your signature look neat and not so messy-looking despite the "messy theme" you sometimes go for, so that's a plus in my book. ;)

Text can use some work though, but it's not so bad really. Great job overall and looking forward to some more of your work!

Which ones do you think are the best? nothing shows in the quote>_<

Any ideas on how to improve on the text? I think i might look into getting more fonts, the ones available to me at the moment are quite bold and lack style.
Il definitely be getting photoshop when my trial runs out whether i pay for it or by some other means. Im gettin used to it and its far superior to any other design package out there.
 
American Muscle, to be honest, I'm not really too keen on this one. I mean it just looks really bland, it's not screaming at me so it's easy to be overlooked. No offence meant.

I really like your Jill Valentine banner, the brush strokes which i don't usually like, look really great and I like how the text seems to have busted its own way through your background.

Then there is your Jack Bauer I think it needs a bit more feathering. the background looks a little messy, which is what you said you were aiming for but I think it distracts you from the actual sig itself since it's abit too messy... I mean I like the effect but it just seems to have been overdone.

Your Vengeance/Justice sig looks really well, I like the hint of gold added in to it, it makes a very nice contrast to the dark theme of this banner. The smoke effect is really good it's a good way to make the whole banner "pop". Nicely done!

"Akira/Power" It has a nice effect to show that he smashed the glass himself, it's looks slightly off but it's hardly noticeable. I like this one too!!

Dead Rising, this is a nice banner aswell. I like the distorted image how it blends into the background. His face is feathered nicely his chest could have done with another very small feather. But the effect of the whole banner cancels that out really well to make it look really good. Again I like this one.

Keep up the good work, I would like to see more of your creations :D
 
Hmm, odd. Well it's the 3rd and 4th sigs that I like a lot.

Dead Rising's ok. Gore's not my type of signatures, but graphically-speaking, it's not bad at all. I like the text too.

As for text, sometimes simple fonts is the way to go, based on experience. You can make something look simple but very effective on the tag, or it can be the opposite. You'll just have to mess around with it and see for yourself. Just keep practicing and you'll get it in no time.

Definitely your best one so far, the image of Jack is clean and crisp, the colour scheme is spot on as is the blending of the image into the background, and the text is also great. Keep up the good work mate. :D

i keep seeing the adverts for the new underworld so i wanted to do a graphic with the sexy kate beckisale on it, man shes hot. I didnt really put much effort in unfortunately as im in one hell of a bad mood tonight. Might do another one some other time when i've calmed down.

Another request...I liked it at first but now i think it looks silly. Brushes dont go with the sepia-style colour theme. And the text is poor.

I'm not really sure, I know I read that you like the sigs to be simplistic but the Naruto Tag is too simplistic. :\

The first one is kinda good and I have nothing to say about it.
The Third and the fourth ones are kinda crowded, :\ you should cut out a little bit of the effects

fifth one is really good however I think resizing the render and showing a bit more like including her shoulder would be much better, overall it's very good. ^^

It's Kei -__- anyway it's really good simple but it's quite good, not sure about the black spot though, Overall it's really good, the text might have been better but I kind of like it. ^^
 
hmm i was thinking what black spot, but i see it. It was actually a dark purple but the blurs made it look black, think il remove it. Text was kinda hard due to the amount of text i needed. Ocean colour scene isnt exactly the shortest of names.
