Hey Y'all

I've put this is in here as I feel it would be wrong to add post count for a personal matter.

Ok, here is the story:

I worked for a company on a temporary contract for a month. It was all sales stuff and commision based, which I didn't mind because made over £2000 that month.

However, I am with a building society for a bank. The company are having trouble transfering my funds into my account.

they have now (this morning), turned around and said that they are not going to pay me until I get a new bank account. I asked for a cheque and they said no.

Any advice for me? My blood is literally boiling. LITERALLY.

HALP!

Well, we do have a section for personal matters, and it actually is a post count area, mainly because it strikes up legit conversation.

I'm not really sure what you should do here. I've never dealt with legal matters before. But I'm thinking you should do a "half now, half after the job is done" policy after you settle this one. I think you can sue said company if you did a job and they don't pay, but don't quote me on that.

Best of luck!

How about asking a lawyer? Or at least a professional of some sort.

You're almost certainly going to get a better answer from him/her than from a Fainaru Fantaji Forum.

I'm going to go with Ewan on this one, you probably won't get any solid legal advise from here. But for what it's worth, my advise is to keep complaining to the higher ups until they cave in, let them know they are cunt scum etc.. simple but often effective..and cheaper than legal fees too.

Alternatively you could just open up another bank account, I'm sure your 2 grand will cover it. :monster:

Did you sign a contract? Have a copy of it?
I have never ever heard of a company doing this before. The idea of setting up a new account purely for this sounds pretty mental, almost sounds like theyre scamming you which il be honest i think they are. Theyve refused to give you a cheque? That sounds even more suspicious because if it doesnt clear then your gunna know they dont have the funds.
Have you contacted your bank to see what theyre saying about the problem? If the company are saying they have a problem transferring the money into your bank then you should contact them immediately.
Had you heard of the company before hand? It sounds really really dodgy to me

Id never heard of them before, and as far as I know they've sorted it, the funds have been transferred but im waiting on clearance. It was a long days of nasty phone calls though!
