OOC: And now, for something straight out of Final Fantasy....

Raven said, "But how did you get that spirit, that's what puzzles me, and the fact that it's a spirit that wants nothing more but to ensure the destruction of all beings...I find that's harsh."

Luna said in response to Raven's question, "I think I know." Extending her hands outward and closing her eyes, a circle of light appeared in the palm of her hand. From the circle, a blue, pitted spherical crystal (like a golf ball) started coming out of it. When she opened her eyes she held the crystal in her hand.

"This is a summon stone, as the name implies, it is used to summon spirits to aid in battle. But unlike Summon charms, which uses the essence of the spirit of an already living person, summon stones are from spirits of those who's spirit was strong enough to become something like this and can be used to augment a person's power."

"But that doesn't explain why it seems it had a mind of its own?"

"All summons are sentient, a spirit possessing its host is an uncommon sight, but it's there. But as the person adapts more and more to the spirit, it gives you more power, through drive forms and spells and things of the sort. In some cases, the spirit and the host may achieve a complete synchronous pair, but that's a one in a million chance of that happening."

After hearing what seemed to be Luna's lecture, Raven looked out the Window and saw the Arkbird from afar, the Laser Cannon was finally attached and they were ready for testing on the field.

Hal came out of the medical cabin.
He started to rub his hands down from medical gear

"Well... i'll be haven't seen one of them in a very very long time"
"Thats just a small one..."

Hal looked at Chao and said... " we could remove it... but the process could antagonise the spirt if is it strong.. in our current state I feel if Chao agrees to leave it in for now.. in our current form we are all too weak to take it on again.."
 
OOC: Quick post, I want to get Tipsy posting again while he is waiting for new people for his RP. Plus right now, I wanna rush ourselves into the final battle right away.

Luna said, "Well, they are all that size, Hal. Many different colors and shapes for many different summon spirits. Like this one, Shiva."

Luna closed her eyes as the blue sphere dissappeared back into her hand.

Raven said, "Well, if that is the case, then...I suppose we should wait and leave it for now. Hope that we never had to deal with that kind of thing again...it's too dangerous."

He was worried on two things about this summon, about what kind of damage it could hold on all of the realms, and what adverse affects might happen to Chao.

The Pelican finally docked in the Arkbird. With the matter of Hal looking to heal his hands, there was no worry of the medical crew dealing with anything worse than cuts and bruises.
 
OOC: So i assume these spirit stones are part of the person and can't be taken from the user? ill edit this post once i have worked out this spirit stone thing.

Whatever it was, it was definitely not on HER body outside, so it must be inside of her. Chao was muddled as she did not understand how she had managed to botain such power. A normal summon would have been more acceptable, but one on this magnitude was ridiculous. Nowhere in her memory does she remember anything hinting at these Spirit Stones.

Ugh....

A aching pain shot through her head. The strains of her transformation was obviously present and Chao could not think straight with the constant throbbing.

I don't know and frankly, i cant really give a damn right now. It'll have to wait.

Lacking power to her limbs, the medic had to get her on a stretcher and help her off the Pelican in order for her to be treated in the open.

God this is embarressing....

OOC: The only way they can be taken from the user is if said user is dead. and yes, it is a part of the person.

IC:

Other than Chao having to taken on a stretcher, Raven climbed out feeling a little fine. His hands bandaged from the fight with Chao's Phoenix Spirit. So did Luna from the looks of it. Raven walked to the end of the hanger only to find Commander Curtiss on the other side.

"Colonel..." Raven said, Luna followed Raven to where he was.

"I'm sorry, Raven, but we have recieved some bad news. A Heartless fleet,rumored to be led by Arbiter Dagr Scinfaxi, is heading towards our most recently built base. They will be there within 24 hours."

Raven, a scowl on his face said, "Can we even make it there?"

"We can be able to make the speed at half the time, but with other forces being called up to defend other key positions. As well as the recapture efforts of Twilight Town."

Raven heard the Colonel's complaints, from what he's trying to say, apparently whoever the overall commander is, that person told the crew of the Arkbird and the defenders to "Go F%$# themselves."

"Fortunately, survivors from Destiny Islands are there, so we should have 6 Keyblade Masters confirmed in the fight, plus maybe some more that are unconfirmed according to reports."

Raven said worryingly, "Where exactly is the base located." He was worried that it would be that place....

"The base.......is located in the Unity Islands."

Raven's heart sunk as he heard the news, the Heartless were coming to his home, looking for blood. The last words he said before he left to his quarters on the Arkbird was, "I understand....thank you."

Luna said, "Raven......" before following him to his quarters.

OOC: Whether Hal wants to join in on this is up to him.

Hal followed the team into the ship following the side of Chao's stretcher and escorted her to the door of the medical center and walked onto the main deck following raven and luna.

"I'm sorry, Raven, but we have recieved some bad news. A Heartless fleet,rumored to be led by Arbiter Dagr Scinfaxi, is heading towards our most recently built base. They will be there within 24 hours."

"At least he has come out of the hiding now... We need to prepare... on that note I will return to the medical quaters to assist Chao's recovery asap"

Hal followed Raven and spoke slowly

"Captain.. How are your hands? Don't worry about Unity Islands.... We will save it buddy"

Raven stopped, clenching his hurt fist. As far as the battle was concerned, if it were any other world, he would prepare for it as usual, but this was Unity Islands, his home. He had a lot of friends there and Scinfaxi was gonna come to kill them all. He was worried about them and it was that kind of feeling, the feeling of fear and anguish, yet anger and determination that drove what he was going to respond

"Hal, you've been a good friend. You've helped me, and Luna and Chao and everyone else we've come across...I thank you for that. But I'm not going to watch and see you, Luna or any of my friends die like animals to him.

"But Raven, you know you can't take him on your own. You need our help!"

Raven snapped back, tears starting to form "But I don't want to lose you...not you nor Hal nor Chao. Not like my dad, he didn't deserve to go out like he did." Walking up to the wall he punched it, but it only served to make his knuckles bleed.

Scifanxi took my mother too.. Remember?

Hal walked over to him and inspected his bleeding hand and tightened the bandage around his knuckles

"I promise you Raven.. when the moment is right... Unity Island shall be saved... and Scifanxi shall lay dead on the beaches.."

Hal turned and went for the exit

"We are making the trip now to Unity Island... We must Prepare.. I'm going to help the other Doctors with Chao and get her back up and running normally.. We need all the help we can get.. Before we get to Unity Island Raven... I want you to fight me.. I'll come and get you when i've finshed with Chao"

With that Hal opened the door and walked out with some haste to hurry up with the medical procedure of healing Chao

Walking into the medical chamber he looked at Chao laid on the stretcher

"Okay then Chao... Where should I start?"

Chao let a slight chuckle. She had heard what Raven had said and if Luna was going in, there was no way in hell will she leave her. However, what she was about to do was rather detrimental to her body and she was not sure Hal, as a doctor would go for it.

Well, doc. Seeing as Luna and Raven are going to fight i was wondering if you could do something for me. However, seeing as you are a doctor, im not sure if you'll go along with it.

Taking a second to breathe a bit, Chao budged her arm to her chest and pulled out a phial from the pouch.

Well doc. See here? This is a Chin Dao pill. What it does is that with a bit of mixing, it should speed up my recovery process. The downside is....that the hyper recovery would....cost me a bit in terms of my life. Correctly done, it should just chip a month or two from my life. Do it sloppily, it could take 10 years and the line between correct and sloppy invery fine. So the bottom line is, I'm placing my life in your hands. Can you do it?

Raven saw that Hal was willing to fight Scinfaxi too, Raven finally had a thought in his head, Raven and Hal, they're like two sides of the same coin.

"I promise you Raven.. when the moment is right... Unity Island shall be saved... and Scifanxi shall lay dead on the beaches.."

"But the last fight, the four of us and we couldn't even stop him. How do you think that we can take him this time? Hal???"

Luna put a hand on the captain's shoulder, "And I will be there to help there, I will fight too."

Raven tried hard to contain his tears, despite his protests, his friends would still come to help him in his hour of need, like he was there for Hal, Luna and Chao.

Raven wiped the tears from his eyes and said, "All right, you want me to become stronger for you guys, I will get stronger."
 
Hal extended his hand and took the bottle.. "Reading the bottle label he said...

"How many times have you took these before Chao?"

Moving over to his microscope he smashed one pill and looked at it.. it was nothing he had ever seen before..

"Chao how can you trust me to do sometihng I don't even know what it is"

Chao smiled cheelily as if a child being scolded.

How many times you say.... last i counted....maybe 6 times....? or 7....? So if we added it up, then thats around two years i guess....

Even amongst soldiers from Eastern Cloud, that was a ridiculous and unprecidented number of times anyone had taken the pill. It was just how Chao fought, straight in the thick of it all at the front and being somewhat reckless. She herself already lost count of the number of times she almost died. Chao comforted herself by the single thought of "But im still alive."

Well, the procedure is simple enough. It was designed for battlefield field station, so in a medical bay on a starship, it should be easier. Turn the pill into powder, the finer, the better. Mix it with 10 ml of pure alcohol, 15 ml of Sodium nitrate solution and..... this part you'll have to trust me. 20 ml of mercury and 10 ml of Sulphuric acid and 5 ml of hydrochloric acid. Seriously, as deadly as that sounds, it will be okay with the compound. There are three vials of the precise amount in this pouch, so it should be easy for you. Mix the gunk until it turns dark brown and heat it under flame for 108 seconds. Then, at your leisure, stuff it into a capsule. There should be enough to make three.

Slipping the necklace punch from her neck, she tossed it to Hal. It was all up to him now.
 
Hal caught the pouch and pulled over a table next to her and sat on the stretcher..

"Your going to have to guide me through this Chao... Am a Doctor not a pharamasist"

Hal followed Chao's instructions to the moment and stopped her constantly to make sure he was doing it right.. God he felt back in his learning days slolwy mixing concoxions of potions looking for different outcomes.. Although this time there was only one allowed outcome

"Lets hope to sheer god this works.. but why three tablets Chao?"
 
Raven headed to his room to wait for Hal while he was tending to Chao. Sitting on the bed, he pulled out the chain he picked up from when his father disappeared. Erieste's Lucky Lion's Head Emblem.

Raven looked at the necklace closely, thinking about how far he has traveled, how his father training helped him get to where he is today, only for fear to lose it all.

"Dad, I wish you were here....you would have the advice to help me through this."

Hehe. Nothing goes by you Doc. Three because i like to be prepared. I dont want to conk out in the middle fo the battlefield. Sure it might not be that great for my body, but hey, don't wanna let you down, right?

Chao was a soldier through and through. She lived to fight and will, hopefully, die by fighting. For her comrades, she would shred her soul to pieces and jump into the depth of Hell for them. This was nothing. She herself knew she was not cut out for ruling. The only thing she was good at was fighting. That meant that in order to prove her worth for her title and her privildges, she would fight hard and exhaust every bit of her body for the empire. The time to test her resolve was close by.

After i pop it, i'll go unconscient for a bit. Just carry me to the ship and ill be up, ready to fight.

Gripping one of the pills, she smiled wryly at the doc.

Luna headed to meet Hal at the infirmary where she saw an almost unconscious Chao and Hal with two pills.

"So Chao showed you how to make the Chin Dao pills."

Looking at Chao, she said to Hal, "Go take care of Raven, I'll see about Chao. Knowing her, she'll want to be in on the action. But I want to make sure Raven is in on it too."

Luna thought back to when he met Raven, how he went out of his way to help Luna try to find his father despite not knowing her, how he managed to save alot of people in Radiant Garden and Destiny Islands, and the trials he had been put through to get to this point.

"My father used to tell me stories about Keyblade Master Erieste Otsdarva, how he showed no fear in battle, yet was willing to sacrifice everything for his friends and allies, He told me that him and Erieste were close friends, despite me having never met the man myself. I think Raven....he's probably what his father probably was...a brave warrior, yet he seemed like an older brother to his men, someone willing to put his life on the line."

She fumbled over what to say next, but she did want to ask a question, "Hal, do you think I did the right thing, bringing Raven to fight with us?"
 
Hal looked over that Chao...

"Yeah she did..." Help me take her to her cabin?"

Hal went to pick Chao up and carry her to her Cabin

"Luna... Your a good friend to Raven... a good friend to us all.. The nightmare task of battle and sacrifice comes hard on us all.. But as captain it comes on Raven's sholders more.. As a friend you must support him.. arguging will make his job harder because it is a task that must be done making it even harder for him to complete"

Hal took a deep sigh

"In the end we are all alone.. We will all die a warriors death one way or another if we are lucky... if we aren't then we will still be alone... Only in death are we truley free.."

Hal walked slowly down the corridor carrying Chao's unconcious body to her cabin..

"Luna please wait here with Chao and prepare for the battle that will follow... "

Hal took his sword out of his scabbard and headed down the corridor to Raven's cabin..

He saw raven stood looking at the necklace

"The past will not help kid.. use it as your strength.. I'll show you... Anyway there is a surprise for you"

Hal threw a long black case onto the floor

"A true weapon for a true keyblade master... Now.. please the training room... lets take out this rage.. rage is not good for the battle"

Hal left the room and went to the training room and the door shut behind him..

OOC: Chao am sorry to move you kind of God Modding but am sure the hospital isn't where u want to wake and Luna is there with you :)
 
The door opened to find Hal with a black suitcase. "The past will not help kid.. use it as your strength.. I'll show you... Anyway there is a surprise for you"

Hal threw the long black suitcase to the center of the floor. Opening it, it was a keychain, one with a wolf's head pendent on it. Touching the pendant it disappeared and formed into the Fenrir Keyblade.

"A true weapon for a true keyblade master... Now.. please the training room... lets take out this rage.. rage is not good for the battle"

Raven sat up, looked at his dad's necklace again, then put it around his neck, before following Hal to the training room to spar. Despite Hal's sayings, he still dwelled on the past.
 
Hal was stood at the computer in the training room waiting for Raven.. His swords leant against the wall in the room. His lab coat hung over the control room chair... The sooner he passed knowledge onto Raven the sooner they could pass to unity island.
