Kingdom Hearts: The Unsung War

OOC: Uh.....is powerfuller even a word? (Or use spellcheck) Also, extremely short post to respond to another extremely short post.

IC:

"Luna.. Take my hand...I want to show you something powerful"

With nothing left to lose, Luna decided to trust Hal, and took his hand. "I hope you know what you're doing Hal."
 
Hal pressed a button on his bracer...

"Luna.. I'm transferring the magic power I have in my body into yours.. its a little button on here... Just take it and blast the monster's back with blizzard... It'll be double the strength..."

Hal pressed the button and held onto Luna's hand. his eye's started to go white and he started to go weak. he pressed the button and collapsed.
 
As soon as Hal collapsed, Luna felt a surge of magical energy rushing through her. "Hal....thanks." After this she started firing Blizzara's at Feral Chao, these attacks, more powerful than her usual Blizzard attack should be effective in subduing her berserker state.
 
The constant ice attack was a nuisance, which further annoyed Feral Chao. Surging up all its energy to its chest, the being attempted a heat wave blast, a shockwave with searing heat. As it reared itself, the talons suddenly collapsed. It has been an eternity since it has ever came out and its powers were not circulating around it properly. These magical ice attacks would have been nothing, but due to the current situation, Feral Chao crashed to the ground, the ice attack overspilling off its back and freezing with the ground, effectively holding the monster down. Chao's own body laid plastered to the ground. Her eyes, however were locked to Luna in an effort to communicate through to her friend to help her. If anything was to be done, it has to be soon, as the ice was already beginning to thin out.
 
As soon as the talons collapsed, the rope which was holding on to it fell, Raven, glided down to the ground in a not so smooth landing (his Drive Form timed out around three quarters of the way down and rolled himself into a standing position, with both the Four Wings and Luna's Guardian Soul keyblade in hand. Kneeling down, Raven was tired and his hands had some severe first degree and minor second degree burns on his hands. But he continued to walk forward to Feral Chao, hoping to help Luna save her from herself.

Luna also walked forward towards Feral Chao. She clearly saw that she was in pain somewhat. She did not want to see her friend have to go through this, so she once again tried to talk to her.

"Chao, it's me! Luna!! I'm your friend, we all are! Please, come back to us. We want to help you."
 
OOC: For a few rounds etc.. hal will remain lifeless from the energy transfer

IC: Hal lay lifeless on the battlefield.. if anyone was to come over the skies he would be just another body laid on the bloody floor.

Hal's eyes were still as piercing as ever just lifeless
 
OOC: TEST OF FRIENDSHIP! Also, a picture of the phoenix's humanoid avatar. replace face with a young asian woman. Since she will be popping up now and then with Chao, might as well.

"Chao, it's me! Luna!! I'm your friend, we all are! Please, come back to us. We want to help you."

The voice was so soft and blurry, as if filtered through water. Everything was indistinct. Her own mind felt like sludge, nothing was processing properly. However, the voice piqued something in Chao's remaining conscience.

Luna.....

With her remaining will power, Chao reached out for her friend. There was no movement, but a few seconds later, a pure white shape moved amongst the bright yellow of Feral Chao's flames. Chao attempted to reach out for help to her friend, but a keening and hypnotising voice began tapping into her head. In an instant an image flashed into her head.

Why, do you resist my child?

Standing in front of the prone Chao was a tall elegant woman. However, her attire contrasted her appearance, in a very ceremonial red armour whilst holding two long spears in each hand. Slowly, the woman paced around Chao, her wooden shoes clicking with every step.

Why, do you tether yourself to this exsistence?

Who... are you?

That is a difficult question. I am many things...but for simplicity's sake, right now, i am the spirit of your power, and your soul. Why do you think only you, have your title, Fire Scourge? It is through I that enables us the power to scourge this universe of its plague, scorching the earth to dust for all life to be reborn. Such is the exsistance of a phoenix.

A pause, as the Phoenix looked upwards before stopping in her tracks and looking back into Chao's eyes.

You desire to rid of these filth. Why, i ask again, do you resist?

I...i do not wish for such a heavy sacrifice so early. We have barely begun to fight, yet you would have us jump to the final solution of purging every living thing. Do not joke around from your lofty immortal position. My friends and i will stand by each other until the very end and rest assured, we will win.

A slight smile creased the side of the Phoenix's lips

Brave words...worthy of the vessel that i have chosen...If that is the path you take, then i will withdraw back deep inside. However, if you are unable to take up the mantle of your promise. Do not blame me for what i do. Now, stand by your own power and break free through this obstacle. If you are unable to escape, then you have lost before you even began.

In a crash of flames, the Phoenix disappeared. Instead, the entire white area in her mind began to collapse in a sea of flames. Her conscience was thrown back to her physical body. Chao now knew what she meant by obstacle. The animalisitc instinct of her power was trying to consume and take her by force. She needed to get out. Slowly, her hand moved through the thick energy before popping out through the front. The extreme heat from the white flesh sizzled in the air.

Help....me....

Chao's voice was much clearer this time, but her exposed arms began to sink back into the flames of the body as if like quicksand. Her own powers would not allow her to escape, but should anyone grasp her hand, extreme burn injuries would ensure. Time was short.




 
Help....me....

At that moment Luna began running towards Chao, She used a spell to freeze her hands and arms so as to avoid being burned by the intense heat. Without hesitation she grabbed Chao's hand and started pulling. "I'm here Chao, come back to us!!!" Raven immediately ran to Luna, grabbed her other hand and started pulling himself.

As they were pulling hard Raven shouted too, "I'm here too, I'm not gonna quit on you now and I know you won't quit either."

At this point, Raven started wondering where Hal might be....knowing him, he's probably out cold. Raven thought about it, "Dammit Otacon, you had to pick the right time to take a nap!" But they continued pulling, knowing if they can't rescue Chao, she might die.
 
OOC: apologies in Advance... for any sudden changes

IC:

All of a sudden a hand grasped onto Raven's arm..

"Come on then Kid lets get her outta there already"

Hal pulled with his strength he could and slowly Chao started to appear more and more
 
OOC: Not unless he picked up a green mushroom somewhere XD!

A cool sensation hit Chao's hand and instantly, there was a flurry of steam and hissing. With what weak strength remaining, Chao tightened her hand on Luna's. She knew that by doing so, it could potentially burn Luna's hand very badly, but she knew her friend. She was not stupid. Most likely, Luna would have cast some spell that would hold off the heat for a bit of time. Slowly, ever so slowly, as if from quicksand, Chao emerged from the flaming heap. The feral avatar screamed in anger, but was powerless to stop. A good deal of its ability left when the Phoenix returned inside Chao's soul.

It seemed like eternity and Luna's ice spell has almost disappeared from the heat when Chao finally escaped the flames and dropped to the floor. Instantly, her hand let go of Luna's, to stop her from burning her friend. From someone elses perspective, Chao appeared to be a humanoid shaped being that is completely burning white. The metal(?) floor outside the base began to soften and melt, but slowly, other colours were returning to the warrior. The avatar screamed as Chao left its body. With one cry, its body exploded, scattering into the air countless flaming feathers, but neither the explosion or the feathers would have been any threat.

By now, her body has returned to normal, bar a slight heat glow around her body. Flipping over and lying in a spread eagle, Chao stared exhausted into the air, her chest heaving.

Thanks guys....bloody hell...we won right?
 
OOC: Yeah, I figured you would bring up another Mario reference. XD
Btw, that's concrete, but it still melts....

IC: Both Raven and Luna was lying on their back, exhausted over what had happened. Though they managed to save Chao, (and surprisingly Hal coming back to consciousness.) The fact that this island is trashed was the least of his worries.

Thanks guys....bloody hell...we won right?

Raven looked at the ruined base, he saw a Pelican coming in the groups direction, Raven replied, "We've took some losses, but I think we've won here."

"If by winning, you mean the destruction of all Heartless and the launch of the Laser, at the cost of the base and maybe any few people inside, then yes." Luna said snarkingly.

Raven fell silent as the Pelican descended towards their direction, the co-pilot, who opened the load doors said, "Yo guys, you're the last ones we've found who survived on this island...come on, let's head back to the Arkbird."

Raven got himself up (hurting his hands since they were slightly burned in the fight with Feral Chao.) and said to his friends, "All right, let's do what the man said and head back." Raven climbed onto the Pelican and got onto the seat.

Luna also gotten herself up, shaking off whatever was left from her spell. Walking up to Chao, she asked offering a hand to Chao, "So, are you feeling any better?"
 
OOC: Raven I explained what happened with the energy transfer - its just a slow process that the energy got transfered between myself and luna which caused a unconciousness state whilst the energy "SLOWLY" returned but really is more like a feign death tactic. (Y) no green mushrooms although am no mario :)

IC: Hal turned to the pelican... "Sign so much death and destruction.. not a single step forward to Scifanxi"

Hal looked at Raven..."Hey kid - you did good. I'll explain what happened with energy transfer and show you the research on the bracer"

Hal saw raven's hands were burnt as he figured they all would be..
"Perhaps a trip to the medical cabin is required to us all... I'll prepare the cabin for us all to get the burn treatment and forward transmissions to the akbird about preparing my medical cabin for burns."

Hal turned and walked to the Pelican door
 
OOC: Sorry Hal, but i hardly call a few seconds slowly. The time in which you dropped to when they began to pull Chao out was less that 10 seconds, more like 5-8.

Chao hesitated at the hand, fearing greatly that they still radiated dangerous heat, but after a few seconds of feeling the temperature in the air, she was satisfied that she was cool enough to touch, probably at the temperature of hot spring water. Grasping the offered hand and hoisting herself to her feet, Chao's body groaned and complained with every motion.

"So, are you feeling any better?"

If you consider every joint locking into place and have the constant feeling that every single muscle is ripping, alright, then yea. I think im in brilliant shape.

Her sarcastic comment was accompanied by a reliefed and cheery smile, giving Luna a small, playful punch to her arm. With slow deliberation, the duo clambered onto the Pelican rear door where Chao proceeded to collapse onto a row of seats.

Let's go. The sooner i shower and sleep, the better.
 
OOC: I fell when the power transferred to Luna which was before Chao started to get pulled out whilst the battle was still roaring. The bracer shall show more power later on in the story where I intend it to start its own little pull on the story.

IC: Hal sat down on the other side the pelican

*sigh* the sooner we are back on the akbird the better.. Chao, what happened to you? he threw a small package on the chair next to her - A small burns kit -> it'll help you relax till we reach the Akbird"
 
Let's go. The sooner i shower and sleep, the better.

Luna smiled, even after Chao threw the punch, she knew that she'll be alright.

"Yeah, I think we all deserve that." Luna said as she climbed aboard the Pelican. The Transport started flying up towards the Heavy Frigate Arkbird.

The battle made Raven wonder, if his father was still here, still around, would he be proud of him leading his friends into battle, unsure whether it would be a victory or a defeat. He still wasn't sure of himself, after all, one world and several thousands of lives were lost when he was put in command, and in some cases, was probably not worth it. Ever since they left Twilight Town, he has done his best to hide his despair, his frustrations, and his sadness.

Those thoughts broke when Hal asked what happened to her, which disturbed Luna a bit, but not all too much, Raven also wondered the same thing himself. "Yeah....it was as if you took on the form of a phoenix, whatever you did killed the heartless leader, not even me at full power was able to overcome her...."
 
Hal looked out of the window and then turned around

"But that was just one leader.. there must be more generals than that"
Hal opened the door to a cabin

"If you want your burns looking at i'll do some tempory burns first aid till we reach the Arkbird"

Hal closed the door and walked into the cabin and opened his pouch up and started removing some tools
 
*sigh* the sooner we are back on the akbird the better.. Chao, what happened to you? it'll help you relax till we reach the Akbird"

"Yeah....it was as if you took on the form of a phoenix, whatever you did killed the heartless leader, not even me at full power was able to overcome her...."

Chao laid there, her eyes unfocused and staring at the roof. She was beginning to piece together what she had seen in her time within the Phoenix and the apparition in her mind. She hesitated in conveying what she saw, but overrode her fears. They were her friends and if this was going to be a problem, the had the right to know about it.

God knows what it was. Sure as hell don;t want to feel it again. It did give a rather intriguing dialogue though. It said....that its mission was to purge the universe of life forms in order to return the heavenly realm back to its natural state and have things restart. Basically to wipe everything out, heartless, human etc. I think i managed to convince her to let us try and win, but one thing i do kno is that it was strong.
