Kingdom Hearts: The Unsung War

Raven and Luna turned around to see Hal. While Luna was happy to see him up and about, Raven was still sore about the last battle. Luna was the first to speak, "Nomanisan Island. From what the captain told me, this is wear the Arkbird is gonna pick up it's secret weapon, a High-Powered Laser System. The Heartless have not found out, hopefully they won't know until it's too late."
 
OOC: You don't know much about space do you? There's no wind in space....It's just transparent ray shield that prevents....well.....explosive decompression.

IC: Raven then said, "Hal, it's not the case of that, we've already have the weapon, we're just waiting for the guys on the surface to actually launch it to the Arkbird. Only problem is, how long are we gonna be waiting?"

Luna then said, "10 hours, give or take..."

"10 HOURS!?!" Raven responded in shock, he had the lack of patience to wait that long. "Fine, in that case, I'm going back to the training room then." Raven then walked out of the bridge and headed to train some more.
 
Hal stopped mid pace..


"Hmph 10 hours! - I'm going to the Comms Room to discuss any speed up protocols we can use to get it here quicker. Luna, Please send a comms request to the planet."

Hal paced out of the room infront of Raven but moved into the next room.

OOC: I meant that :P just because I said wind doesn't mean i didn't mean a ray shield :)
 
As Hal and Raven left, Luna decided to head to the surface to see if she can't speed up the launch from the ground. She headed for the Arkbird's Hanger and took the Highwind, a Single-Seat Gummi Fighter and took it downward towards Nomanisan Island. Because most of the island was still forested and their was generally no flat terrain large enough to fit aircraft of that size, the Island's hanger was located in a cave underneath the island underwater.

After landing at the base, Luna came out of the Gummi ship to be greeted by Violet Parr. “Hey Luna, welcome back.” Luna responded by saying, “Its good be back, Violet.” In the 3 years since Syndrome’s defeat, Violet had graduated High School and received a scholarship to go to a local university. She had also perfected her powers, in addition to creating force fields and turn invisible, she can also turn intangible, like a ghost, and fire force blasts.

"So, what brings you to Nomanisan Island?" Violet asked while they were headed to the Nomanisan control center Luna responded. “I wanted to see if the weapon was ready.”

“Well, the Laser they are building is ready, though, I don’t know how effective it will be. Mirage and the government here had been busy analyzing the technology used by the Lucidians during the war 15 years ago, before Dash was even born.”

“Well, at least we’ll know it’s being used for a good purpose, right?”

“Yeah.”
 
Hal walked to Raven's side...

"You know we'll beat him right?"

Hal slowly looked like an old master walking alongside Raven...

Hal kept walking through corridor to the medical centre to do some more things on his stomach
 
Raven decided to follow Hal to the medical center before continuing hs training. He said to Hal, "I know we'll beat him, with that Heartless on the loose, more lives will be lost, so until we beat Scinfaxi...nothing else matters..."
 
Hal turned his back from Raven to inject a resin into his stomach..

"There .. that should hold out long enough not to hurt my stomach more during this fight... Let us go to the planet.. and maybe I'll find my own fate there as well"

Hal picked up his staff again and walked to Raven and stood infront of him

"Dr Hal Otacon Reporting back in Captain"
 
All right, let's go surprise Luna with visit groundside." With that Raven headed to the Hanger. At the hanger he saw his old Pelican cleaned and repaired. It looked as good as when Raven, Luna and Hal first used it when they left Atlantica.

Raven entered the Pelican, waiting for Hal to climb in aboard the Pelican that will take the two to Nomanisan Island.
 
OOC: is it just you three going to the island or is there an army with you?

Your Highness! Wait! Despite your position, protocols must be followed, not to speak of your attire either!

Chao strode down the Grand Hallway of the palace, ignoring the servant, and with a flick of the wrist, swung the large double door leading towards the Convergence Chamber open. Rows upon rows of Magistrates turned their head in unison at the sudden disturbance. With her charred and splattered armour plus sudden return, no one knew what to do in response. Diao Quan laid her eyes on her sister before rising from the Dragon Throne. Despite being siblings, Chao never cease to amaze and shock her sister, whether it be good or bad.

Ah, sister, how good to see you. I have received the message from Mitsuki and have begun preparation... but there is a bit of a complication.

Chao winced at Diao Quan's comment. As good as she is at diplomacy and leadership, Diao Quan is too soft. Wordlessly, Chao strode up the stairs towards the raised platform and stood beside her sister. In a loud voice, contrasting to the soft voice of Diao Quan, Chao took over the floor.

Those that have issues with preperation of war, stand forth!

The crowd of magistrates did not move for a while until a few stepped out of the lines. None of them expected Chao to return and true to her name, she is as hard to control as fire.

State your reasons.

Your...Highness, we do not see a need to devote ourselves to a conflict that is avoidable. It does not concern us and we have no proof of the foreigners claims....

And my word is not enough? Do you doubt my report from the fore front?

Eh, no that is not the case....

It will take a while to mobilize the entire planet for such a large scale...

Then prepare all units that are ready into transports. Unless public security and stability has not been looked after, the lack of soldiers shouldn't be an issue.

The rest of the magistrates gave up. They knew how stubborn and strong willed Chao was and arguing was useless.

The fate of this planet is at risk, and so is the entire plane of existance. Should the light fail in its fight against the Heartless, then we may as well commit suicide as that will be the entire nation's fate. So, i speak again. Prepare our forces.

Her tone had finality. Turning towards her sister, Chao kissed her on the forhead affectionately before stalking wordlessly down the center for the door. Just short of it, Chao stopped.

My sisters word is law. Those that defy her words defy our father's and the throne and will be treated with as treason and delt with accordingly. Magistrate Hua Li! You will assist Diao Quan.

The room of magistrates bowed as Chao left. For now, things were alright. As fast as she came, Chao stepped onto her fighter Phoenix. Kicking the engines wide open, the jet shot out into the open space and rocketed towards the Arkbird. Unlike the clunky Pelican in which she used to get back home, Phoenix was vastly superior in every aspect.

Chao had dosed off, letting the AI (named Aria) take care of flying. When it reached within comm distance of the Arkbird, it woke up Chao.

Good Morning Ms Chao. We are now within communications distance with the Heavy Frigate Arkbird. It is highly recommended that manual control is taken.

Right. Thanks Aria.... Heavy Frigate Arkbird, this is Fuu Chao Rin of Eastern Cloud, riding in SW-070691 Phoenix. Request permission to enter territorial space.

Silence filled the cockpit before a husky voice emitted from the speaker.

SW-070691 Phoenix, this is Arkbird. Permission granted. However, your friends seemed to be ready to depart for Nomanisan Island. I suggest you head towards the docking gate and join them in their descent towards the planet. Out.

Roger that. Out.

Swerving the machine off towards the docking gate, and held position just outside.

Hello? Raven, Luna, Dr Hal? You there? Its Chao. Good news. Our army is beginning to mobilise and our initial forces should be ready very soon. I'm taxiing outside so that we can go down to the surface...for whatever reason you need to go down there for. Waiting on you.
 
Hal sat down at the command seat next to raven and heard Chao's voice for a long time

"Chao welcome back. it's good to have you - Luna is already down on the planet - Just myself and the captain going now. Proceed to follow the pelican to the docking station on the planet.. Otacon Over and Out"
 
OOC: Yes it's just the three of us (Luna, Hal and Raven) to be fair, the Noamisan Defense Guard (aka the Militia/Syndrome's former Henchmen) will be our Red Shirt for the day, please take great care of their non-importance and numbers, trust me, a lot of them will not survive.

BTW Tipsy, are you sure that link to your fighter is linked to the right place?

IC: Well then it looks like we're about to find out, starting up the engines, the Pelican took off from the hanger bay. As soon as their ship left, Raven saw Chao's gummi ship docked outside the hanger.

"Hello? Raven, Luna, Dr Hal? You there? Its Chao. Good news. Our army is beginning to mobilise and our initial forces should be ready very soon. I'm taxiing outside so that we can go down to the surface...for whatever reason you need to go down there for. Waiting on you."

Hal was the first to respond, after he responded Raven said, "Thanks for the support, I'll fill you in as soon as we hit the surface."

The Pelican started flying towards Nomanisan. As soon as the Pelican reached the atmosphere, Raven searched around for a LZ of some sort. Another radio signal came in, it was Mirage and Luna standing side by side. Raven said, "Hey Luna, I guess the cat's out of the bag,"

"I thought you two were going to try and speed up the process from the Arkbird?"

Raven nodded to Hal then said, "We did, then we decided to join you."

Luna put her hand on her head and chuckled, "Ok, just swtich on the autopilot and we will remote control the Pelican to the LZ."

"Alright, but could you do the same for Chao's Gummi ship?"

"All right, Mirage will to the same thing for her, meet you guys at the Hanger."

At this moment, Raven put on autopilot and let go of the controls, from a small control tower, 2 miltiamen began guiding the Pelican across the island. The back door's closed and sealed to prevent water from coming in.

At this moment the Pelican slipped beneath a lake full of water. Using its propellant thrusters, the Pelican moved towards one of the 7 undersea LZ's. When the Pelican touched down, a blast door sealed behind them and water started to empty the hanger until it only covered the area underneath the platform.

The Pelican's back doors were unsealed and opened, and Raven came out of the Gummi Ship. Luna was waiting for him by the hanger's other enterance. Luna was the first to say, "Hello there."

"Hey, let's go meet Chao at the other hanger."

Using the comm link, Luna told the control tower, "Control Tower, this is Luna, direct the Phoenix to Landing Zone 3."

Raven would follow Luna to LZ 3, where they would meet Chao and they could explain the situation.

Chao followed the Pelican down into the surface of Naomisan Island and as instructed, let them take control for the landing. Similarly like the Pelican, Phoenix slipped into the water of a lake and landed into a hangar before the blast doors closed. She was in a hangar of her own, so Chao had to meet up with the others once again. The water drained quickly from the hangar and her cockpit popped open. Jumping out onto the floor, Chao glanced around and saw that this was LZ 3. Still, that was of little help. Even knowing where she was, she had no idea how to navigate this place. All that she could do was wait for the others.
 
Raven followed Luna to the door to LZ 3, using a passcode, they were able to enter the hanger whre Chao's Phoenix gummi ship was located. Luna said to Chao "Hello, my friend, I heard you were coming from Hal and Raven."

Raven, being impatient, added, "I'm sure the person running the situation would want us to see what we can do to assist in the launch."

Luna said, "All the pre-launch checks already cleared out, the ship will launch in 3 minutes."

"Oh...well then, we may as well go see the launch." Raven, decided to head to the launch site for himself."

Luna said, "Let's go Chao before Raven gets lost...." She then ran towards the doors to catch up with Raven."
 
Hal turned to Chao

"Good to see you Chao. Sorry I shut the hanger doors on the Pelican to stop you.. That was my fight"

Hal turned and strode after Raven towards the doors placing his cane deep into the floor with each step.

It matters not anymore. It's all good that you survived, but that was reckless. Anyway, lets head off after them. I do not wish to be lost. It will tarnish my reputation and make me look like Raven.

The last line was said with a smile as Chao began walking before getting into a steady jog after Luna. Upon catching up, Chao decided to report in on her little trip home.

Hey, just a little heads up. I somehow intimidated the magistrates at home to start prepping for war. My sister is too soft, so a bit of muscle here and a bit of threat of court martial plus execution solved everything. So as Dr Hal wished for, our armies are preparing to go to war against the Heartless. Its all in and show hands i guess.... it is a matter of do or die right?

Chao had a slight drop in her stomach as she realised that she never got a direct confirmation of the severity of the situation. Her gut memories served her well and she did remember that it was along the lines of "fight and possible survival or total annhiliation", but if she got it wrong and she mobilised the entire planet for something less, her head was on the line. As a side thought though, Chao just realised that they had been jogging for a bit now.

Just how far are we going anyway?


 
Luna said to Chao as they were walking, "We are headed to the control room, knowing Raven, he'll be late of course." She sighed, as she hoped that the heartless might not figure out what is going on "What we are planning to do is use that weapon they are launching to the Arkbird as a trump card in our war effort, that's why we're here."

Soon, Luna entered the control room with the rest of her friends. There they saw Mirage looking at a screen that looks like a radar signal. She was worried when she saw several red blips on radar.

"Mirage, what's going on?" Luna said.

"They're here, I don't believe it." Mirage responded.

A message from hologram was transmitted from the Arkbird's Captain, Colonel Curtiss, "Halt the countdown, Enemy incoming, this is the Heavy Frigate Arkbird."

Raven, right on cue entered the control room, overhearing much of what the Colonel said, "What kind of enemies are there?"

"The Heartless has about 4 dozen dropships and a many more fighters. Apparently, they've sent more than enough to capture your base."

Raven said to Mirage, "Get your defense forces outside, we need to slow their advance from the outside if we have any chance of building our defenses inside."

Luna pleaded with Raven, "Even with the Arkbird, our forces are not enough."

"I'm sorry Luna, we will have to make do with what we have for now, tell the Arkbird to send in their forces."

Ace Combat 5 OST-White Bird: Part One

The Nomanisan Island Defense Guard, armed with their Sub-Machine Guns, Anti-Tank Weapons and their old patrol vehicles (some even had molotov cocktails) spread throughout the beaches and jungles around the island, while the Arkbird began attacking dropships and fighters with it's own fighter wing as well as a tight AA defense. Several of the dropships however, made it's way to Nomanisan Island and started dropping heartless at an alarming rate (as well as several Mega Tanks for the purpose of clearing the field.)

One such Heartless that entered the fray was the commander in charge of the attack, Zaharada, a Green-haired female-humanlike Heartless, wearing the same attire as Xeanhort's Heartless and carrying a Knight's Sword. Her forces started attacking and destroying the defense guard. In 3 minutes flat the heartless have already passed the first defensive ring.

Raven and Luna were thinking of what to do. The Incredibles and Mirage were there as well.

"So what's the plan?" Luna said to Raven.

Raven put some thought into it, then said, "We need to restart the countdown, get anyone involved with the launch of this Laser Cannon working to get to the Arkbird immediately." The Incredibles came into the control room with mr. incredible saying, "We've already begun evacuating the personnel. But it will take time."

Luna said, "What about us?"

Raven responded, "We try to defend the base until the rocket is launched." Getting into contact with Colonel Curtiss Raven told the commander, "We are still going to launch the laser cannon"

"We cannot take the cannon at this time until the target is all leared both in the sky and on ground."

"With all due respect, we don't have sufficent forces to even engage the heartless, let us deal with launching the SSTO, you just deal with getting some of the enemies off our back."

"Fine Captain, I hope you have a good idea what you're doing."

As soon as the Colonel dissapeared off the screen. Luna told Raven, "We have 3 minutes till the rocket launches."

Summoning his keyblade, Raven said, "Then we'll need to hold this base for 6." He then left the control room and headed towards north exit outside. Luna headed to another exit to the west.

The Battle for Nomanisan Island has begun.
 
Hal sat down at the command console and spoke over a radio

"Raven keep these guys off me - heck i'll hack this thing yet try to get it gone quicker. my place is here"

Hal started pressed a few buttons and brought up a laptop screen and started to type fast trying to alter the timers.
