Hal stretched his arms

"Did you not see the prototype fly straight over you? It's kind of full of weaponry too - they got eat up even when i turned them off.. Then when I said I needed to talk to a woman called Chao they pounced.. But am okay not hurt.. Anyway to what I saw..."

"Shall we discuss this in the inn or something for a meal - its been a long ride"

"Oh and Princess, Dr Hal Otacon, At your Service"
 
Raven said, "I saw the ship come, so I knew you were here. Just promise me you won't get yourself into any more trouble." He then turned to the Princess, "All right, we're ready to go."

At the inn, Raven and Luna were discussing their next move. There were rumors going on that the forces of Light have tested a weapon and is going to send it to the Gummi Fortress from their launch site in Nomanisan Island, the rumors weren't well far off, since there was a planned launch from the world in 2 days. Raven said, "I suppose we should check it out, knowing the Heartless, they may take the opprotune moment to strike at the enemy."

Luna responded, "It would be better to head back to Destiny Islands. The prototype was able to travel to Eastern Cloud from here."

"I doubt it has enough room for 4 people to squeeze in for a one way trip to Destiny Islands, we could just take the Pelican and head to Nomanisan."

"But Nomanisan is not a base, and I doubt it has any fuel to spare if they do plan to launch their rocket. If that is the case we'll land at the closest base from here."

"And that is?"

"Twilight Town."

Raven finally said, "All right, we'll head there first thing in the morning, then head off to the Islands." Turning to Hal, he then said, "Hal? You said you wanted to talk about something."
 
Hal moved from the window of the inn..

"Yeah its kind of a important issue.. Chao your not going to be happy about it."

"Following the heartless I was taken to their base before escaping to destiny island..
They followed me to the island.. alot of it is in ruin.. my lab for one - the top half of it is completly ruined by fires and the bottom half is now sealed off for good. Only my robots can work there now"

"But this is not all!

The more important matter - the heartless have a fleet far bigger than anything we could throw back at them, you had better hope that this weapon works.."

Hal looked at Chao - "I escaped from Destiny Island - I took out as many as I could... But.... I was followed..
Twilight Town is not a good idea either - its the closest place to here + its the place they stopped following me and went down. If we go to Twilight we go straight into battle to liberate it.."

Hal returned to the window.. " The people of Eastern Cloud are at Risk Princess, you must make your decision.. Do you take us and the army to Twilight town and liberate it and stop the onslaught reaching Eastern Cloud.. or do you wait it out.. and wait to destroy the fleet on your own planet bringing war and most likely death to the world.."

Hal closed the window and turned around to the party " Princess the choice is yours, We await your command"
 
OOC: If the bad guys stopped at Twilight Town, they wouldn't have a clue as to where you are unless you're heartless....

IC:Raven took the news in shock, after hearing what Otacon had to say, Raven answered. "That means it's even more imperative to go to Twilight Town. Don't you see, they would not want to strike at Eastern Cloud, I bet they're trying to stop whatever it is that's important at Nomanisan Island."

"But what do you propose we do?" Luna said, "4 people can't just change the tide of a battle."

"Maybe not, but we can try to get as many people out of here, have them retreat and regroup at the Nomanisan Space Bridge. I doubt it'll be much, but if we have enough transports, it can be done. We head for Twilight Town then."
 
OOC : Its okay I feel some sort of space tech coming in useful here

IC: Hal went to the docking station to look at the damage to his prototype and saw a little red disk attached...

"Hmm I didn't put that there :S Damn ! Its a tracker!"

Running down the corridor back towards the Inn he shouted " RAVEN! LUNA ! WE GOT TROUBLE! QUICK!
 
OOC: So i have to bring in a Eastern Cloud army? C'mon, thats no fun! Sora took on a thousand heartless by himself (well, i think he was by himself). Im pretty sure we can handle a fair amount. I'll reserve my response to the army part.

Chao knew Dr Hal's arguments were most likely the best course of action, but she is not willing to send in an army. Besides the fact of buerocracy and paperwork, logisitics and actually calling up of soldiers, Chao did not know if this was a suicide mission or not. They had almost no intel on the situation. As their commander, her soldiers lives was what was most important to her.

As much as i agree with you, Dr Hal, i cannot condone with instantly sending in an Eastern Cloud army. Firstly, there is sovereign issues. I cannot send a military force into another world, regardless of situation. They may take it as we trying to invade while they are weak. Unlikely, but possible. Two, we have logisitics and transport issues that will not allow us to instantly deploy. We have not had a war in a while, hence, we are ill suited to deploy immediately. Thirdly, my men are my life. I cannot risk sending them in with such little intel.

Chao stood still for a few seconds, thinking of how things will work.

Okay. here is a possible course of action. I will get the council to start preparation for war. However, it is most likely they will not be able to assist to any major extent at Twilight town, nor will i allow it. Therefore, I will go along with you three to scout and acquire information. Should i deem the situation not suicidal, i will call for a regiment to be sent over first to assist. You have spoken about the situation with overwhelming odds. As a commander, i cannot let them follow me knowing that they will be annihilated.

Chao stood steadfast on her position. Plus, any major invasion means a lot of troop ships. With the heartless fleet so big, or so they say, getting groundside will be difficult. However, the four of them infiltrating would be much easier
 
OOC: Agreed, but I'm not saying take the whole army, I meant the 4 characters already at hand (you, Raven, Luna and Hal)

"So it settled then, the four of us will head to Twilight Town." Raven said, we'll go together on the Gummi Ship. It was originally meant as a troop carrier anyway, at least, that's what I heard."

Hal came back to say "RAVEN!!! LUNA!!! WE GOT TROUBLE!!! QUICK!!!" So, Raven and Luna came down to where Hal had parked the prototype fighter he got from Kestrel. Raven then saw a red disk, the thing that spooked Hal. "Hal, you know you shouldn't worry about these things, if what you say if true, they should be too busy tied up with the soldiers in Twilight Town to even bother finding you." Raven took the disk, dropped it on the floor and then smashed it under his heel.

"Raven, you may think everything is under control, but it's not," Luna said, "Already a world fell to the heartless and a second one is going to be followed up in this. I would think you'd be properly paranoid."

Raven responded, "Yeah, maybe your right, but it's no point worrying cause if it might happen. Let's just hope that we can change things around."

"I think a bit of Sora may have rubbed off on you."

"Well, let's just hope that I don't become unnaturally happy like Sora." Raven said before entering the Pelican.

Luna laughed, the first time she laughed in a long time, before saying, "I really hope not." She boarded the gummi ship after Raven.
 
OOC: I'm going to toss in a secondary character for Chao. She wouldn't play anything too significant, but she will be tagging along. Once in a while, Chao will call on her, mostly as a messenger or for small tasks, but you can ignore her basically.

Chao concured with Raven. As the two ran off towards Hal, Chao had work to do. Since everything has not been finalised yet, she still had control of the world.

Mitsuki. Come on out. I know you are here.

From the shadow jumped out a lone kunoichi.

Yes, Master Chao?

Carry a message to Diao Quan for me. Tell her to whatever she do, support the preperation for battle and wait for my message. I am counting on her and so are the lives of many innocent people.

Yes Master. I will convey this message.

As fast as she appeared, Mitsuki disappeared into the surrounding without a trace. Chao could trust that her message will get to her sister and that she will follow her instructions. All that is left is to wait. Stepping slowly to the window, Chao stared out. She had a feeling she wouldn't be able to see this city for a long time.
 
Hal walked into the hanger and walked past the Kestrel : "Hmm you didn't take much damage in the battle then"

Hal walked into the prototype Mark II and set the engine going

Opening the cock pit he shouted across

"Meet you in hyperspace Raven."

Hal closed the button and said on the tannoy of the ship

"Hal Otacon ready for take off!"
 
OOC: For the record, the Kestrel never came here.

IC: "All right then Hal, meet ya at the destination point." Raven said. With everyone on board, the gang took off in the Pelican and left for Twilight Town.

Twilight Town was also a part of the realm of In Between, but unlike the 7 that were vaporized at the boundary with the Lucid Realm. The Realm of Darkness was it's border, and that put them in threat from the Heartless there.

When Raven and Luna saw the world they were about to land to, the city looked as if it was already on fire.

Ace Combat Zero OST-The Inferno

"Raven," Luna said, "the city, all those people..."

Raven responded calmly, "Yeah, I know."

As he took the gummi ship down towards the world itself, he saw that the ships were still there, apparently they wanted to capture the world rather than outright destroy it. One of the ships managed to find out that another ship was coming and opened fire on them. Raven said, "Dammit!!!" As his gummi ship weaved through the AA Fire coming from the large Capital Ships. The Pelican took a hit, but managed to escape the capital ships fire.

The city was covered in fire and smoke, and much of the buildings were still on fire, even the famed Twilight Belltower. The Heartless were still here, as per what Raven predicted. Which means any survivors that were still there couldn't be all wiped out.

"Luna," Raven said, "I don't see a good landing zone."

Luna looked around and then spotted somewhere, "I see a mansion nearby, it's seems undamaged and there are people still there. There's your LZ."

The Pelican touched down on the front lawn of the Mansion. This Mansion used to belong to DiZ after he escaped the Realm of Nothingness. But since his death, it was abandoned. When the war started it immediately became a base of operations, as it was the closest location from the Dark Realm.

Raven and Luna exited the Gummi ship, where they were greeted by Hayner, Pence and Olette. Luna said, "Hayner, Pence, Olette, It's been a long time." "Likewise." Hayner responded.

Raven decided to introduce himself, "Hello, my name is Raven, I'm Captain of this squad. You've already met Luna, and this is our friend from Eastern Cloud, Fuu Chao Rin, or Chao for short."

Hayner responded, "My name is Hayner, this is Pence and Olette. I'm head of the defenses for Twilight Town, or at least I am now that the top dog is dead."

"I understand. At this point, I don't think we can hold onto Twilight Town, I would suggest you round up your guys and regroup elsewhere."

"Raven, I don't think you understand the situation. We can't just leave here, this is our home!"

"But what the point of fighting for your home if your just gonna die fighting, you may as well try to retreat and fight another day!"

"Because we won't let them take Twilight Town. We just can't!"

Suddenly they heard an explosion coming from the Forest. Hayner said, "They're here."

Luna said to Hayner Pence and Olette,"Get your men together, I think Raven is right, we need to make a retreat, I hope we can come back to take this world soon, but right now, we can't afford to."

Raven said, "Get some of the men out of here, the rest of us will buy you guys some time. GO!!!"

Heartless were pouring out of the area. Raven summoned his Keyblade and began charging at the enemy. They were Darksides, like in previous battles. A difficult fight but no match for a keyblade master.

OOC: It'll take some time to get myself into combat form.
 
The world was burning. Acrid smoke reached high into the air and to Chao, it was the familiar smell of a battlezone. Adrenaline spiked high in her brain and through her system and Chao raised herself slightly onto her toes. She began bouncing ever so slightly, fiddling with Rising Phoenix while Raven dicussed with the town guards. hen the heartless started to appear, the adrenaline that was just around soared and a vicious smile ripped across the once regal face of Chao.

Let's roll!

Chao whipped out Ultima, Heathen Flame and Cleansing Touch and launched them at the Darkside she was going to engage in. Each blade dug into the heartless in a ladder fashion, on at its knee, the other at the hip and the last near his heart. With quick steps, Chao bounded up the makeshift steps and twirled high over the darkside's head. With Rising Phoenix, she dug deep into the collar and with her momentum, cut down across the back of the collar bone before couging a deep cut down its back. It collapsed to one knee in pain, but it was still strong.

Ha! Critical hit.

It was far from dead, but to Chao, it might as well be. Loosening Rising Phoenix, Chao charged again, twirling it like a weighted whip before leaping high and over, this time, aiming for its head.
 
Raven took the fight to the Darksides. There were 3 of them, big, tall, black monsters of heartless. Chao was taking care of one, so Raven and Luna had to deal with another. Charging straight towards the lumbering giants. The Darkside punched the ground with as much power as he could. Raven seeing this, jumped high to avoid it.

Landing on the Heartless' arm, Raven ran straight towards the head of the creature. and launched multiple swings at the enemy's head. The Darkside dropped to one knee in pain and tried to shake the young man off. The Heartless very nearly did,Raven almost fell, but grabbed on to it's hair-like tendrils. "That was too close." Raven exclaimed

Raven ran across the Heartless's back, slicing it with the keyblade. before jumping onto it's head and stabbed the skull with his keyblade. The Heartless tried to shake him off, but to no avail. While he was trying to get the Keyblade Knight off, Raven was channeling Fire Magic to his blade, hoping to give the Darkside a serious migrain. It worked all to well, after a minute, the Darkside collapsed and dissipated.

Luna was also faring well. Using her Ice magic, she managed to freeze the Darkside in place, but only temporarily. With the Darkside more focused on destroying the mansion. It paid surprisingly no heed on her. Luna, charging her keyblade with energy, said, "You know, it's not polite to turn your back on a girl. Especially when you don't know what the girl is gonna do to you." She swung her keyblade, creating waves of energy that sliced off one of Darkside's arm and cut through the chest like a knife through butter. Luna then charged a giant Ice spell that freezes the enemy in place. "Too bad..." Snapping her fingers, the Darkside broke into millions of pieces. A move which made Raven say, "Wow, pent up anger?" Luna said, "Yup."

Suddenly a second wave of Heartless, this time, Invisibles came out. These Invisibles were backed up by a navy blue colored heartless similar to Invisibles. These Heartless had no wings to fly with, but they were packing some firepower. Which Raven started blocking immediately. A jeep with a .50-caliber Machine gun started to come out of the mansion and opened fire on the enemy. They were Private Koopman, and Private Pyle. "Captain, we'll help hold the line." Raven was amused, saying, "Good, just keep firing!"

OOC: By the names, you should already know what will happen to them.
 
Out of the skies fell Hal's Prototype

"Come on you damn thing...!" Punching the command console a small fire egnited inside the mark II..

"DAMN. Emergency Eject"

Hal pressed the big red button next to his control console and was shot out of the cock pit and a parachute opened up. Hal drew his swords- he was going to cut the parachute close to ground to start fighting

"RAVEN clear an area!"

Heartless were stupid in the eyes of Chao. The Darkside stupidly tried to track her quick movement with its head and by the time it had locked onto where she was, Chao was already at the peak of her leap. Swinging the Da Dao in a vertical sweep, the blade bit deep at the crown of the heartless head before cleaving straight through to the jaw, giving the term a "splitting headache" its literal meaning. The heartless collapsed slowly as Chao landed cat like on the floor in front. As it dissipated, all three of her keyblades flew into the air. Without even a glance, Chao snatched them out of the air as it fell towards her and slot it back into their holster.

Heartless down. Who's next?

Rising Phoenix has returned into its original form. From up high, she heard Hal call out to Raven to clear an area. Since she was free, Chao took on the job. With a rough estimation as to where he would land, Chao ran to its center and drew Heathen Flame. With a mighty warcry, fire burst around her arm and the keyblade in a spiral before she jammed the keyblade into the ground. The ground rumbled for a slight second before a raging fire burst from the ground, consuming all the heartless in a 8 meter diameter before dying out quickly. The air was hot, but it was breathable.

Area cleared doc! Its safe to land!
 
OOC:

Koopman= Koopa, if you played Super Mario Bros, you should get the picture.

Pyle= Well, it's amusingly titled as such, since in the end of the battle, from his name, you know that will be his fate....

IC: Raven and Luna continued charging at the enemies while Pyle and Koopman continued their attack. It has become much of a pattern, with the 2 Private attacking the sword weilding Invisibles, while Raven and Luna hacking down the gun wielding Intangibles (my name for the flightless, gun weilding Invisibles). Raven, who still had his .45 pistol from the Kestrel, fired 2 rounds at one of the Invisibles, both of them hitting the head and blowing it clean off it's body. "So much for enemy reinforcements, I can't believe how easy they are going down now." Raven said.

Luna also cut her way through the enemy forces with ease. It was a surprise that the enemy was becoming surprisingly easier to defeat now as Raven said. Luna responded, "I agree, I wonder how the City Defense Force was not able to...."
Suddenly she started choking as if something was grabbing her, but no one was there. Raven turned around and watching Luna start choking, while floating in midair, a Heartless made itself visible.

Armored Core 3 OST-Administrator

"So, you're the one who's making a mess out of our army." The Heartless said, activating it's energy blade with it's other hand. Raven said to the Heartless, pointing the .45 caliber pistol at the enemy while keeping his Keyblade on his other hand in case he had to come in close, "Hey, put the lady down, and let's talk face to face, man to freak!!!!"

The Heartless let Luna go, gasping for breath. The man said, "As you wish." Before walking slowly towards Raven, looking to kill him. Raven, shot at the Heartless several times, the bullets had little effect as the enemy Heartless cloaked himself again. Raven dropped the M1911 and ran straight towards Luna, trying to see if she's all right. On the way there, the Heartless dropped out of cloak and stretched his arm out, Raven carelessly walked right into it, knocking him off his feet, and him clutching his head in pain. The Heartless said, "I should've killed you yesterday, if I haden't been so careless, I won't make that same mistake twice."

Raven said, "Just who are you anyways?"

The Heartless laughed, it's long neck reaching high and looking into the sky. "My name is Dagr Skinfaxi. I am the Heartless's Arbiter against the Light, and I will use that power to destroy the light and bring everlasting darkness to all the realms. Yesterday I showed you a sampling of my power, and destroyed your fleet."

Raven stared at him in shock, "You killed all those people? How dare you!" He started to get riled up, getting up off his feet and ready for battle again. Raven summoning back his Keyblade to his hand. Luna also got up, surrounded by Invisibles and Intangibles. She summoned her keyblade back to her hand and got into stance, ready to take on the enemy that destroyed many lives before hand.

OOC: This is a battle between us vs. Dagr Skinfaxi, the Big Bad of Part One, and his Heartless, so you can but in if you like, but no one will be allowed to kill him yet...not even me.

Hal got closer to the landing zone and cut the strings from his parachute turning in mid air qucikyl sending a fireball against it so it went to nothing. ( Thanks to Luna for learning skill :) )

Hal landed with on one knee

"You're not alone Raven."

"Thank you Chao"

Hal stood up and drew his swords

"So you are behind all of this... Were you behind destiny island as well!?"
 
Chao was chewing on some gum while the heartless yakked on. She did not care for anything it was saying. All she needed was to know if it was enemy, and that much was obvious. Once again, Rising Phoenix broke into two pieces, with the blade dangling free on the chain. Chao spun it like a chain and sickle, turning it into a white blur. All around were heartless, some were Defenders, but most were the grunt shadows and soldiers. Her blade twirled as Chao did not move a muscle, her eyes slowly scanning the enemies. In this mission, she was not the commander. All waited on Raven. The moment he chooses to attack is when she will lunge.
 
Scinfaxi turned to face the man who threw the Fireball at him, saying "Is that what it's called, to you I destroyed a world, but me, it was just another Wednesday." He laughed before sicking his Heartless on Hal, feeling it's not worth his time to fight the man.

Raven then jumped at Skinfaxi from behind, but the Heartless's Arbiter knew he was coming. Quickly turning around, Skinfaxi punched the young Keyblade master in the gut, followed by another punch to the face that knocked him across the floor. Luna charged at Scinfaxi with her Keyblade, causing Skinfaxi to activate one of his two Energy Blades and began dueling with her. Luna was quick and elegant with her strikes, trying to wound if not outright kill the Arbiter.

Luna started out with two quick strokes at Scinfaxi's arm to disarm him, but he blocked and countered with a downward slash. Luna blocked the attack, but she noticed that this Heartless was more powerful and she had to struggle to keep the energy blade from outright cutting her.

Raven in the meantime slowly gotten himself up and saw that Luna was dueling with Scinfaxi. He screamed, "LUNA!!" before charging in with keyblade drawn. He cast a Lightning spell at it. Which threw the Arbiter off balance. "Such folly."

Raven ran towards Luna who said, "I'm fine." Before she had her Keyblade on ready. Raven followed suit as the Arbiter said, "Heh, if that is what you wish, then you better make peace with the light now, for I will show NO MERCY!" The Arbiter walked forward, as Raven and Luna began firing Fire and Ice spells at Scinfaxi respecitvely, but to no effect, forcing the duo up against the mansion's concrete gate.

OOC: Anytime you guys want to butt in, now would be good.
 
Hal sliced through the simple heartless waves and forced his way forwards till he was opposite Raven.

Raising his sword to his face.

"Lets do it Boy!"

Hal pulled his sword down and ran forwards and started to attack towards the legs of their opponents
 
Let's RUMBLE!

The exact moment Raven leaped for the Arbiter of the Heartless, Chao sent Rising Phoenix into the head of the closest defender. Killing it instantly, Chao proceeded to whip it back into action by sending it cleaving upwards out of its head and swinging it in a wide and fast twirl above her head. The shadow heartless mindlessly charged, but Chao lowered her twirling and used it like a shield, chewing through anything that touched the high speed blade.

It did not suit Chao's style of fighting though. She liked to get in deep and rip through an army. Unexpectedly, Chao sent it in a wide horizontal whip, taking out a large arc of the heartless before collapsing the pole arm into its folded state and stashing it behind her waist. In its place came her three keyblades with two in one hand and Ultima in the other. The other grunts were of no interest. She wanted to take on the big guns. Cleaving easily through the crowds, Chao ran right behind Raven and Luna before performing a quick slide, trying to get between the Heartless' leg and slicing them. She hoped that Raven and Luna would occupy the thing enough to create such an opening.
