Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Collector's Edition Announced [7/23]

Square-Enix quietly sent word out today that they would be expanding the retail offerings for Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep in European territories.

In addition to the game itself, the collector's edition features a hardbound 48 page artbook, as well as two Kingdom Hearts print cards. To distinguish it from the standard version, the outside packaging will be printed with a unique CG design.

No pricing has been given yet, but fans can look forward to picking this up when the game releases in Europe on September 10th.

That should have been the standard game's cover.

As much as I'd love to have that cover, the Collector's Edition is bound to be about £10 more than the standard version. I would stick with the standard edition anyway. It's not like the CE has anything that great or necessary.

Oh that is a wonderul cover. Wonder what the collectors edition will have though. I want this game but I am not going crazy over a collectors edition. It might just have some bonus item that will be 10 or 20 bucks more than the standard version.

Probably just as well, European territories. That said I'll stick with the standard edition too, as much as an artbook is nice, I did that for Assassin's Creed and they're pretty useless unless you're really into art like that.

Collector's Edition for a Square Enix title? Interesting...oh wait...it's Birth by Sleep which is for the PSP. I'll stick with the better handheld.

Play.com has it up for £34.99 so yeah £10 more that the original, i'm just annoyed that we don't get the special edition PSP 3000 like japan, and i read it somehwere that North America is getting it i could be mistaken.

I know I'm gonna end up buying this, so I'm not even gonna bother pretending I'll try to resist. I really can't wait to play it though, I decided to wait till this ones released before I even think about touching another KH, gives me more to look forward to anyway. I can't even decide what I'm looking more forward to this time, gameplay or plot.

You can just walk into a store (if you're in Europe) and find it there or get it straight from an internet site like Play.com.

It's not like it's a rare thing. Finding it is not going to be difficult at all.

I did a conversion check, and the 10 pound difference between the regular game and collector's edition is roughly 16.00 Canadian (probably 15.50 USD)

That is pretty steep I admit

I wonder what those two print cards are suppose to be...
