At least for me it was.
KH1 and CoM where actually quite difficult and challenging games imo - especially if you going through 100% runs - unlike the joke that was called KH2 which was way too short and pathetically easy.
Plus at least KH1 and CoM had difficult boss fights too, the boss fights in KH2 where just way too easy just like the rest of KH2 itself.
The boss fights in KH2 where not at all difficult. The only bosses I personally had trouble where with Xigbar, Xaldin, Seph and Xenmas - the rest of the bosses in that game where a complete joke.
Also at least KH1 and CoM had some good optional stuff to do in them unlike KH2's sidequests and minigames which where just lame. You know in CoM, its optional whether or not to 100% complete your card deck listings - you know all the enemy cards and all the keyblade cards too. Not to mention Riku's mode too once you have completed Sora's storyline.
In KH1 you had lots of optional stuff to do like the trinity marks, optional bosses, finding all the dalmations, etc. The only optional boss you had in KH2 was Seph and the optional stuff in that game like the Carpet Carpet, Sand Slider, Poster Duty and the mucial challenges in Atlantica where just either annoying and lame unlike KH1's and CoM's optional stuff which where fun to do.
Arguably also KH2 also had the worst storyline in the game - I mean besides some of the stuff with the Org members - KH2's storyline wasn't really all that great compared to either KH1 and CoM's storyline in my view. The main problem I have KH2's storyline is this.
I was angry about the lack of screen time that Axel and Roxas - two key characters central to the series - had in the entire game. Same thing for Riku and Mickey, again another pair of characters important to the overall series storyline that didn't have much screen time in KH2 either.
Also a lot of the Org members apart from Xenmas didn't really have a lot of screen time either, there should have really been focus on them since they are considered to be the main villains in the game.
