This is out of general curiosity.
Do you know anyone who celebrates Kawanza? I only ask, because when I was in college I asked a few African American students if they celebrated the holiday. (They were people that I knew either as friends or group members, I didn't just go up and ask random people!) Most just laughed and said no and one had never even heard of it. But sometimes I will see Kawanza specials on TV.
So do you know anyone who celebrates it? If so, do they also celebrate Christmas?

And all my friends are scottish aswell so probadly none of them do if its an african thing.
. I honestly don't know what it entails, but I would assume it's something very similar to Christmas, or it wouldn't be the African equivalent to Christmas
.
It sounds like an interesting concept, but I've never actually seen it in practice.
