Turned on FFX-2 today because I felt like a slightly less serious game.

Far beyond the hazy borders of my heart
I can see a place that's something like this
Every now and then I don't know what to do
But still I know I can never go back-back-back-back-back-back

And so on and so forth for the last ten minutes.

You wanted a less serious game...you got one!
Once you get past the, shall we say, interesting, song at the beginning it does get a bit better!

I cringed so much I thought my face would fall off. :ness:

I felt really weird watching it. I knew from then on that the game would be very different from the other FF's, but before this I had expected it to be normal. In fact I had thought the game would be aimed at male audiences due to the Yuna ass-cheeks poster that everyone loved..

So I assumed there would be lots of female characters, yes, but that they would be eye-candy and it would be a male orientated game.

I got it quite wrong. :wacky: This song told me this. Well the song and the whole Charlies Angels'esque intro with YRP. I wasn't quite expecting any of it.

Keep going! 1000 Words is a better song!

Mod Edit: Try to avoid short posts like this as they are considered spammy, thanks ;)

Oh, yeah.........the intro. Well, the freakishly upbeat song was a surprising turn from the more serious openings, like FFVII or FFVIII etc. I liked the song, but I kinda hated what it began to represent........which was Final Fantasy losing the magic it once had. Just thinking about made my eye twitch. It was disappointing, to be honest. But, I still had to respect SE for trying something new.

FFX-2 was a less serious game, but when i first played it i realised it wasn't Yuna singing at the start, this was because when it showed the names with Paine and rikku with the coloured backgrounds it showed Paine andRikku in the background, but with Yuna there were ???'s.

other than that, the opening song did kinda suck, same lines repeated over and over again, it got very. . . VERY repetative.

People so hate this game, I dont understand why. It is a less serious game and is kinda chilled out untill you get to the serious part with "Tidus". You have to keep playing it.

I like the less serious atomsphere quite a bit. I mean, I like to be happy and carefree when I play games, especially when life is so bad. It makes me smile and laugh. I don't get all the problems with it.

I love "Real Emotion" and "1000 Words". This is the game that made me find who Jade From Sweetbox acutally was. Then again, I like pop music, so there you go.

I don't think people got the point. My game's frozen. That was what I was trying to say. -__- I love the game.

Oh, that's kinda true, not what I thought you meant at all. Hope it unfreezes, I had the same problem with it, but at the end in the credits. I love "1000 words" but not enough to want to listen to the chorus a billion times.

It's basically stuck at "Still I know I will never go back," and keeps repeating "back" over and over. I don't have any save files either, so it's really annoying. I have Wild Arms 5 to entertain me for the moment though.

Rofl, that sucks. I guess...maybe? Playing that opening song back over and over again kinda sounds like a torture device used in Hell.

I never had that problem, maybe if you play it to that point, shut off the TV, get something to eat and come back, it will have resolved itself. Of course you'll have missed the rest of the cut scenes but...I think you can buy video's and music like you could in the original game anyway.

How is WA5 anyway? I downloaded WA1 and after I beat it I was planning to play WA2.

Mod edit: Let's take chit chat to PM or an appropriate thread, shall we?

Didn't mean to make chit chat. If you want any info on WA I'll tell you in the shoutbox.

Nah. I've waited an hour, with no results, so it must be properly broken. Hopefully I'll get a new one someday

Awwww I liked the song alot but If your game is frozen try cleaning it or something. I love the game myself but still have not beat it >_< Im gettin further though!

Keep it up, it's worthwhile! I've tried every trick in the book, but it simply refuses to work. I might try toothpaste, or mineral spirits.

If nothing works and it's the fault of the disc and not the console, then there's nothing really you can do except purchase a new copy of the game. I know it's not in many stores to just walk in and find a copy there, but you can find some on Ebay or Amazon.

And I don't think toothpaste or mineral spirits are a good idea.....

No? It's worked well in the past. If all goes wrong, I'll have to buy a new one, as, for the first time, I knew where all the Crimson Spheres were. :gonk: I'll have to buy a new one.

I've never quite tested toothpaste or mineral spirits before because I've never heard of such a technique, but it doesn't sound like a good idea to me. But if it's worked for you, I guess you can try it. There's nothing really to lose if the disc doesn't work anyway.

A new copy of FFX-2 shouldn't be that much money at all nowadays. And if you're aiming for 100%, and unless you know what you're doing, the mission you get in the 1st chapter at the Calm Lands is ridiculously stupid.
