My only tip is to go back to the MONSTER ARENA and train your character's to your heart's content.

Monster Arena is good for mindless character advancement and you get exceptional armor and weapons too.

I'd disagree with the above poster. If you're having trouble with Braska's Final Aeon, I strongly suggest training around Sin for a while before anywhere else. It'll be some time before you can breeze through such fights as they do have a fair bit of HP, but the AP reward is pretty solid.

Try and customise your weapons and armour to get some reliable abilities on them, if you've not already done so. Support abilities like Auto-Protect and suchlike are a boon.

I had no problem with it...but I also maxed out my charecters(all of them) and got all their "ultimate" weapons...it was a cake walk after that so i'd suggest leveling their grids a bit and consider getting their ultimate weapons

I would suggest picking up Anima and The Magus sistes. It is how I beat him after all. Use Yuna Rikku and Auron. Well that is who I used anyway. It is really easy once you get the Magus sisters. Anima is overpowered with Hellfire and Sandy hits 15k from one attack. Monster Arena helps alot also. Also Omega ruins is a great way to level your spheres. But you must find it on the map first.

Go back to the Monster Arena fight for a bit then go capture monsters from different area's so you can get some of the Area Conquest, Species Conquest and Original monsters. Some of the monsters will drop spheres after battle like strength, speed, magic etc so you can fill the empty places in the sphere grid. The Monster Arena is a great place to train it does take a while to before your characters can really take on the monsters that give you a lot of experience but if you have a lot of money capture monsters that you think give you a lot of experience so then all you have to do is talk to the Arena owner it save's running about and getting into fights with monsters that could kill you in one go.

As for the equipment anything that has the auto feature is great like haste, protect, shell. Try to have auto-haste on a really quick character like Tidus so he can just cast haste on the rest of the party a good start can make a lot of difference in a boss battle.

grinding yuna in omaga ruins (take her down aurons grid after her own) You will notice a huge increase in your summons strength.. Then kill him in like two hits with anima

Don't use your aeons overdrives in his first form, wait till his second form. do as much as you can to keep the pagoda's out of commission.

Keep you characters health up if you can, too.

Lol when you get to Yu Yevon, you're pretty much invncible and you can't die so no worries there...
