i don't know if anyone else ever goes through this, but when i am near the end of one of my ff games, i stop playing for a while. i think it's because i don't want the game to end & i stop playing to prolong it. weird, huh? i'm near the end of ff8 right now and i seriously want to keep playing but i don't because of the previous reason. another one i haven't finished is ff7. i'm at the very very end, but i haven't finished it for over a year now. it's not that i can't. i just don't want to even though i've seen Advent Children. hahaha.... odd isn't it? >_<

Well that just means you like the games so much...that you just don´t want to end them.

But you can always replay them again and again that´s what i do!

For example i finished FFVIII about 6 months ago for the 10th time...and i know that maybe in a year or two i´ll go and play it again even if i already know the story from begining to end!:)

I thought that might be because you get too attached to the characters and the story.

I know I did, and I didn't want it to end because it would mean closure....it may sound weird, but these guys, these characters say, get to be a part of you, maybe friends. That's how I think of it.

You haven't even seen AC??! Poor you, but i know exactly what you meant. I feel like i should have not watched AC sometimes, as when it came to the end it was like "NNOOOOOoooooo......"

Terrible, and that prolonging the end of a game? I think we all do that. NO-ONE wants a good game to end and it just destroys me when its al over and done with. Heck, you stil have those special sequels and what not.

It's not the saaammmee though.

i love the challenge of completing a game and then replaying it until you know the script word-for-word i may just be weird but i just cant help myself

I suggest you buy games with multiple endings and replay value. Like Disgaea!

But you really should beat FFVIII. The end of the game has some of the coolest music there is in the game. But thar's also them damned seals. You have to find, like a million of the bosses inside the castle after
Time Compression in Lunatic Pandora.
They're a pain to find, but if you need help finding them, I know where every single one of them are and how to get to them.:)

Hrmm...I do this too. When I game gets really good, I just leave it alone for awhile to make the game worth the wait to beat it. I did that with FFX. I just thought it was over way too soon. I couldn't beat it just then. lol.

If that's how you feel about video games, I recommend Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter. Sure, when you end the game, you want to play it over again. But the best thing about it is this: Every time you re-play the game, it reveals the story more in-depth.

I just CAN'T leave a game alone if I'm at the end. By this time, I'm far too obsorbed into the story to leave myself hanging. I can understand why you'd want to prolongue it, but it's just a flaw I have. I should give it a shot when I next play a new RPG.

IX would've been awesome to leave. Just outside of Memoria, not setting foot inside it. Eventually vitnessing what Memoria has to provide to a first-timer... man, amazing stuff. Maybe I'll try playing through it again when I'm like... 50 or something.

I do the exact same thing.
I'll stop playing a game right before the last few bosses come up. I hate ending games; it just ruins the longevity of it. =\
