I think Final Fantasy VII has been offically killed. Due to Final Fantasy VII-Advent Children, Final Fantasy VII-Dirge of Cerberus, Final Fantasy VII-Before Crisis and Final Fantasy VII-Crisis Core.

They didn't need to release ALL those titles...that just ruined a great classic man.
 
In my opinion i have to disagree and agree with you at the same time. I think that they killed it because they tired to release all of it at once and that to me is what killed it. I think that it is still a great title and nothing acan take it down!
 
Final Fantasy VII is its own game. While I agree that the Final Fantasy VII name has been tainted, the game certainly has not.
 
Yeah, certainly not the game or this section wouldn't even be receiving any posts. =)

But anyway, I agree that they killed the title with those spin-offs.
Mind you, I like Advent Children for the graphics.
 
i have never played the crisis games so i cant go far with explanations but the games/movies i have seen/played i would say it does get a tad tainted

And I think that you just made no sense! :|

Advent Children was the first title in the Compilation planned before they even even planned to have an official "Compilation". Then came BC, DoC, and so on. And they sure as hell weren't all released in the same time period. Just look at Crisis Core. And so what if they were? It matters not, because they are succeeding in what they are trying to do: releasing a game on a different console. They're makin' the moola while people like you bitch about how much they ruined FFVII (nevermind the fact that you can always replay the original to your heart's content). >_<

And yet you said that FFVII was killed and then you say 'nothing can take it down'? Make up your mind. :huh:

As for the topic... I'd have to dissagree there, sorry Keyblade_Master. I like how they're expanding on the story. At the least, Advent Children and Crisis Core would have been the only nessessary titles for me, but... its'their product, and we can't really stop them from producing it, 'cuz guess what? We're the major reasons SE keep producing them anyway, because WE buy it. No matter how much we bitch, at the end of the day they still have our money.
 
in my opinnion it hasent been tainted until Dirge of Cerberus but i havent seen after crisist and crisist core i will have to look those up on youtube or putfile
 
I think what's really going to kill it is when they actually do make a remake and it turns out with a totally different battle system, shitty voiceovers, new plot twists, and answers to all the questions that up until now have kept us all interested. o_O
 
i know... i believe is i sed this in a sticky about the remake but i think every thing stays the same just fix the graffix to make them more modern and more round and you will have the ultimate game!!! it will be the first ps3 disc with 2 discs! you can problably fit about a little over half of the game on on one ps3 disc if im correct
 
I wouldn't be upset if they actually completed the game as they intended to a long time ago...since FFVII was rushed to completion in the 90s...
More sidequests and games at the goldsaucer...perfectly fine. <3

Voiceovers aren't THAT bad since you usually have the option of disabling them.

I will be dissapointed however if they come back with different outfits and a new battle system.
 
Well there are only two FFs out with voiceovers so far, and both of them have the option of text and no voiceovers. I personally hate voiceovers...it kind of ruins you're idea of how they should sound. XD
 
yes but i wouldent mind i n the voice overs for reds voice in advent children u know your matrix xspandex movie?
 
I think they totally blew Cid's voice.
I mean, we all know he's a redneck, but that accent was over the edge. XD

Just a graphics upgrade.
And yes, please Squenix, no more sequels, no more plot twists, no more whatever-else-you-guys-are-thinking-expanding-FFVII....

I really don't get what you mean when you say 'and answers to all the questions that up until have kept us all interested'.

Besides the fate of humanity 100 years later, really, what else is so interesting that we just have to know? Zack's game is Crisis Core. Everything about Genesis will be explained, too. And Sephiroth.

There's nothing else.

There may be other things that some find interesting. Just cause all your questions have been answered doesnt mean everyone has had theirs answered.
 
Nah, it's not killed at all. It's still rising in my opinion. If I am not mistaken there is still talk of re-making FFVII for the PS3. That will put some serious money in their pockets.
