Do you even bother with them? I know there's a few folk declining the MMR jab for their kids recently, for... reasons which escape me right now. I've made sure Ellies had hers. Everything carries a risk, and I really don't like the idea of there being a mass fucking measles mumps or rubella outbreak coz folk aren't having their jabs no more

I jsut had to have mine again today, stuid doctors can't find my notes.. I'm sure it should all be on my medical records anyway, but I had them done when I didn't live in Tameside, so...pass

Anyway. Not only that, she was like, I'l give you a teatnus as well. Fuck sake. Im sure I had one of them not to long ago. Ok I said, might as well

Is there any reason you would decline having the standard immunisations? I just go along with it

I don't really bother. I get my regular MMR, and maybe my flu shot, but aside from that, I really don't give a damn. Polio, tuberculosis, meningitis, tetanus.... if any of them strike, I'm fucked.

My mom worked/works in the health care profession, so ours were always up to date. She also had my brother and I go in for a meningococcal vaccine before college, and the North Carolina University system requires that all students be up to date on their shots while being a student. So yeah, I'm all pumped full of dead viruses. I don't do flu shots though, because I'm not in a situation where they do any good, really.

I have an uncle and aunt who refuse to immunize their kids. Absolutely blows my mind. I just hope none of them come down with diphtheria.

regular mmr. am i missing something? i know a tetanus jab's good for about...10 years or somethin? but i didnt know you had to get mmr jabs repeatedly.

i got whatever it is you get in school and thats it. dont think i have any diseases (apart from bein a fat cunt which isnt really a disease), but if i do have any my body seems to be coping rather well.

dont make me worry about getting needles

yeah it's just the two you get when you are in school, but my doctors can't find my notes so I had to have mine again, which means I have to go for the second jab in a month. All this to do some voluntary work at a bleedin' hospital. I feel like some cunts punched me in the arm as well

apart from the fact that you know im not diseased, or at least you know i think im not diseased, i dont see why folk choose not to be immunised. it just means you could end up catching and dying from something that was totally preventable? wheres the sense.

because folk start panicking over the small 0.0001% chance that the side effects of the jabs might affect them in a sinister way. I personally, would rather take that risk. I'd be most displeased if I woke up covered in spots from head to toe coz some cunt sneezed in my direction on the bus and gave me measles

Also, the fuck is diptheria? I've even googled it, and my notes are full of jabs for it, but Im none the wiser. I've never even heard of it, yet I've clearly been immunised against it. Fucking repeatedly

It used to be the #1 killer of kids in the U.S. It can put like.... a gray layer of infected mucous membranes at the back of your throat which'll make breathing difficult. Scary thing is, if you manage to catch it today, it's still relatively fatal. About 10% mortality rate.

I've had all mine except for my flu shot. I never bothered with getting my flu shot every year. The one year I happened to get my flu shot, I got the flu and I was even hospitalized because it was so bad. Since then I've never gotten my flu shot again, and I've never caught the flu

My son is up to date now, but I did hold off on them until he was just a little bit older than recommened for some of them. I know most everyone thinks the autism thing is crazy, but I know people who have autistic children. I think that's part of what scared me in to waiting a bit.

As for mine, I'm sure I'm not current on tetanus (Lockjaw where I'm from. Yay middle of nowhere!) but I think I am on everything else. Gotta still get flu shots for the family this year, my son's doctor recommended it due to his asthma.

I think I had the MMR jab as a baby, I'm not sure if I did though, or if I had any other jabs as a young kid, I'd have to ask my mum the next time I see her. Although I'm fairly certain I've had the meningitis jab, again, as a young child. I remember getting my TB jab and my polio jab though, since we had to get them done in school.

I'm not sure if I've had any other jabs or not, but, I wouldn't go out of my way to get, say, a flu jab. I think I'd rather have a bout of flu than suffer a needle. If it turned out that there were any major jabs I needed that I haven't had, I'd schedule an appointment to have it - but it wouldn't be high on my list of priorities. I have a huge phobia of needles that would prevent me being too gung-ho about it.

There's no substantive evidence of a link between immunizations and autism. It's not that it's "crazy," it's that it's been categorically disproven. But, your kid, your choice.

Aw I hated the TB one, that stupid stapler type thingy on the wrist, then the bugger on the arm that leaves a scar, mines barely visible, some folk have massive lumpy ones and its like, nowai. Mines just a tiny white patch on my arm

I think I'm up to date with my jabs.

I had the triple one back in school, which protects me from MMR, Tetanus and Polo. I also had my meningitus in my last year of primary school. I wouldn't want to go have a flu jab either because I've never ever had it and don't see the need since I've got a brilliant record for good health. I hardly ever get ill, so I don't worry too much.

I've had all the major ones, I think...I dunno, the last jab I had was that BCG thing in Secondary School. The one we all made a huge fuss over and kept punching people's arms where they had it. That one.

I don't bother with a yearly flu jab or whatever...I've been deathly afraid of needles since I was subject to multiple blood tests on a weekly basis when I was ill. Between death and needles, I'll take death, its the evil I haven't tried before.

As far as I'm aware, I'm not due for anything...I'd have had a letter or a notification by way of my mother if I was supposed to get anything stuck in me.

I never got a swine flu jab...but this is a serious topic, so whether I've had that or not is irrelevant ♥

I have no need for immunisations for i am nothing more than a brain in a jar hooked up to a MS-DOS. True story.
My meat suit on the other hand had it's TB jabs in highschool and i think i've been proded with needles at the doctors before, as for what they injected into me i didn't bother paying attention but i like to think it was sugar, spice and all things nice.

We're talking a few years ago here, when I'd only heard rumors of immunizations causing autism and I wasn't sure whether or not it was true because I had no way to access reliable studies on it. As soon as I found out everything I could about it, we went on ahead and got his shots up to date.

6 years old now, and healthy as a kid with asthma and allergies can be.
